Really really small room for a group of 4, but clean”
The room is really small but a good place to crash for the night. It's super clean and the breakfast was good. Only a good place if you have a car (they have free parking) so you can drive to nearby places.

If you're looking for convenience like us, this hotel a winner for me. Food, drinks and shops are all within walking distance. The main scenic spots are within 15mins drive of the hotel. As for the room, it was comfortable and clean. The AC is a bit loud at night but fades to white noise after a while. Definitely recommended for a one night stay! Thank you for the friendly service.

PROS: Staffs are warm and nice, especially the pregnant mother. the best part of all is the free drink provided, CONS: terrible WIFI coverage, unusable at rm 309! barely usable at rm 103 good hotel though, improve WIFI PLZ

Nice hotel in quiet part of town”
Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and quiet room. However, hotel parking was inadequate. There was one night I had trouble finding a spot since it was all taken up.

Nice hotel at the centre of Hengchun”
The hotel looks quite new. Really great value for money. The room is nice, clean and tidy, though it's a bit small. The staff at the reception, waitresses at the restaurant, and room maids, are all very nice, always smiling and hard working. I dropped a small pill on the floor in the room and didn't bother to pick up. When I returned I found the room had been cleaned thoroughly but the pill was left on the floor untouched. The room maid is really careful and caring! It's located at Hengchun Township, and actually the centre of all major scenic attractions of Hengchun peninsula. The bus stops are in front of the hotel. You can go virtually anywhere by bus with a daily pass for NT150. Kenting is about 10min away. If you are not going to the bars and beach whenever you want, this hotel should be a good choice, especially for sightseeing around.

Great hotel in a great little town”
*we missed the stop for the hotel as we thought we were staying in Kenting. Hengchun is about 10km (?) before Kenting. Need to ask the bus driver (of the Kenting shuttle bus from Kaohsiung) to put you off there. We had to get a taxi back. *The Riverside Hotel actually only has R Hotel on its sign out the front (besides Chinese characters) *room and bathroom were very small, but clean and adequate *free hot and cold water offered on each floor near rooms * free tea and coffee sachets in rooms, and free bottled water each day *very cheap to travel by Kenting shuttle bus to Kenting, and on to Eluanbi National Park *free internet in lobby on 2 laptops *free use of bicycles for use around Hengchun was a bonus *plenty of shops nearby for food, but not for high class shopping *night markets nearby *breakfast was adequate *we were glad we stayed at the Riverside (though disappointed at first when we weren't in Kenting)

If you are taking the Kenting express from the HSR station, you can get off the bus one stop after the Hengchun bus transfer station，which is Hengchun local health bureau, it’s only 1 min walk from the stop , but for the ticketing they only sell the ticket to the Hengchun bus transfer station, so it’s better to ask in advance, or to use the easy card to pay the fare. The advantage to use the easy card to pay is you can get 50 percent discount on the fare. The hotel is not big, but it’s quite clean ,convenient, and very quiet in the night time. It’s easy to access to get food, to the sea due to its location. The breakfast is very good with various options. We will definitely book for the next stay.

Location is good which is close to south gate: eateries and shops are around hotel. About 8 mins walking to Hengchun bus terminal. Walking to night Market. The bus stop is just doorstep, can take bus for Eluanbi Park, xiaowan & other attractions of Kenting. The room is not big but looks new, mordern & comfortable. The breakfast is decious for both Chinese & western food. The staffs of serving breakfast are nice and efficient. Overall good experience, value for money and will be back next time.

This is the perfect place to stay in Hengchun. Extremely value for money. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. WIFI is very strong. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a walk from the main bus terminal (give yourself a 10 mins slow walk and it will be ok) Otherwise, an excellent choice for a stay in Hengchun! Will recommend!

The hotel is situated along the main road leading to Kenting and is just 5 mins walk to Hengchun town centre / bus interchange, hence is very convenient for those travelling by public transport. Hotel also looks quite new. The only disappointment (well, if you think it is one) is that the breakfast has little variety and are almost the same everyday.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I had plans to travel to kenting which is not too far. You have to take the express kenting bus from the main Hengchung station. It's about a 5-10 minute walk straight down the main road of the hotel. You can also take this bus to the aquarium and hubitu, a small fishery with cheap sushi a plate of twenty small peices for 100 nt. the hotel offers some old but usable bicycles which I used to travel to both places. It was a mission indeed but fun and worthwhile! You'll pass a lot of places for go karts and even four wheeler dirt bikes plus some places to go paint balling. The breakfast included is pretty standard. Chinese veggies fried rice sausages scrambled eggs toast tea juices and porridge. The bathrooms have full entities and the tv has good channels in Chinese and English. Close by are a lot of street vendors for BBQ and next door is a tofu desert place. In all the best feature is the excellent staff who were very helpful in giving me insight to what's around the area and how I could get there. Visit the aquarium for sure! Nice newly built hotel”
the hotel is in hengchun, which is around 20-30 min scooter ride away from kenting. if you like kenting but don't want to stay there for some reason, this hotel is recommended to you. it seemed to be newly built, the design was very elegant, in a non-cheesy way. it looked very modern and the room was comfortable and clean. if you want to go around the place, it is recommended you rent a scooter, it costs around 500nt for 24 hours (not including petrol).

Good place in the city”
It’s 10 min walking from the bus station, with good breakfast, it’s around 20 min by bus from Kenting street. My room had a view to the wall of the building. I can recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the city close to the bus station, but if you come for the holiday to enjoy the beach I think its better to stay somewhere around Kenting street in hotels with sea view for almost the same price.

Great location, very clean and comfortable”
very nice stay, will come again. The hotel is located in a historical old town. Very old city wall still available. The food is O.K. A place called Xiao Du Bao Zi is quite nice and simple. The desert called Lu Dou Suan is nice too, it is made by green been with syrup. The old township looks more attractive to us than Kenting. Kenting street is quite boring for us. The evening street do have some street food, but nothing very special.
