Great hotel all around -- service, location, rooms”
We have stayed at The Roger several times in the last year and we LOVE it. The location is fantastic. The hotel was recently renovated and it is quite lovely. The rooms are ample size and nicely decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable. And the staff is extremely friendly, outgoing, and provides great service. This is our hotel of choice when we go to New York now (several times a year). Can't go wrong.
roger williams hotel stay”
I stay at the Roger Williams every time I visit New YorK. I find the location is good and the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very helpful. However, this trip I found that there were not enought towels, I got one bottle of shampoo for the first 4 days and having to leave very early for a flight, I couldn't get any coffee in the room. I don't think the sheets were changed but the bed is very comfortable.
Great little New York boutique hotel”
Loved this place with it’s New York vibe. The room was adequate size, comfortable and clean. The staff were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. The location was perfect to access all the places we wanted to visit. The hot drinks and complimentary evening wine was a great touch. I would definitely recommend this place to stay Thank you to all at The Roger
Lovely hotel in a great location”
We stayed in The Roger for a weekend away in New York and loved it. The interior is modern and stylish, it is perfectly located, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the price was good.
Book directly with hotel!”
This hotel is lovely and in a prime location, close to just about everything. Rooms are a good size, given it's NY. The beds are outrageously comfortable - I wanted to take one home with me. Friendly staff and a modern fresh look. I'd HIGHLY recommend booking directly with the hotel and skip Agoda. There were extra fees not included in the "total" price. I ended up paying the hotel another $250 CDN. I called Agoda and tried to dispute this and was told to "read the fine print". They were correct that it was stated in the contract but that wasn't made clear. It was included in a callout box with what was "included". Very sneaky. Book directly with the hotel, they will match any rate and give you additional perks. Skip Agoda and save the hassle.
Exceptional”
Lovely boutique hotel, fantastic location , literally on the Empire States doorstep....staff were lovely, bedrooms spacious and clean. Bathrooms a little small but workable and only 2 lifts in the hotel which at times were a tad annoying, best value for money we’ve had in New York, would not hesitate to stay here again .
Not Cheap, but worth it”
Kindly, I mean very kindly workers will make you happy. I know it is not cheap here but come on, it is in the middle of the Manhattan. I have been to a bit cheaper hotel near the Roger but I would recommend the Roger. That's because you will see why the cheap hotels are cheap.( Welcome to Newyork)
Clean, very courteous & friendly staff.”
I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone. Rooms were spacious for New York and very well maintained. The entire staff was attentive & friendly.
Hotel Roger, fantastic”
Hotel Roger Williams is such a pleasant retreat in an excellent location. Service was excellent, I enjoyed the decor and would stay there again.
Beautiful hotel, accessible location”
Easy to find hotel which is near a few of the hot spots that i was interested in visiting. Room though a tad small (but totally typical for Manhattan hotels) was very comfortable, beautifully designs and felt quite stylish! lovely the lobby decor too. Staff were wonderful, especially the doorman! he was pro-active, friendly, and gave excellent service. even when i mentioned that i wouldn't need help getting a taxi as my uber was on it's way, he would stand by the curb and keep a look out for the car plate, and would help flag it down for me (while still being busy helping other guests flag down taxis). i would definitely return again.
Great location, good hotel but can be pricey ”
Use this place for work as it's very close to flatiron - they gave me a huge room and a warm welcome. It's modern style and a cut above nearby hotels (Hilton fashion, Hyatt herald etc.) but I find the price can fluctuate a lot. I only stay at a price point like those hotels. During peak times/prices it's not going to live up to expectation and I'd stay at the Andaz on 5th instead - which is slightly further north further away - but the quality is more in line with the price point.
Good”
Very good location, and the room is more bigger in New York.
Good location, neat room, stylish and kind”
I trawveled with my mom abd stayed here for three nights. It was way beyond than satisfactory! All staffs were ready to help. The interior looked were much better than in the pictures. Compared to other design/ boutique hotels in this area, room was bigger, bathroom was much bigger and facilities were cleaner and brighter. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location, would recommend!”
Stayed here for 5 nights with a friend and we had a room with two double beds. Size of the room was pretty good considering it was NYC. Nice big shower which was great. The only downside was the aircon which sounded like we were on a plane. Okay for people who like a bit of white noise and it did block out any other sound. The staff were really friendly, especially the cleaner on our floor. We had complementary wine from 5pm to 6pm which went down a treat and also tea and coffee making facilities in the morning in the lobby but we wished that was available for longer. Location was great as was in the middle of Manhattan but not in the hectic midtown area. Could easily walk up to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Building etc and even Central Park and down to Flatiron but there’s a subway station just around the corner if you can’t be bothered walking like us at the end of our trip! Lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby as well, Eataly in Flatiron is a must!
Excellent Location but Horrible Room Decor”
First, the staff at the Roger Williams was exceptional and exemplified the epitome of customer service. Yet I found the rooms a bit lacking first for the horrible color schemes used in the decor ( a true eye strain). Also, the bathroom shower was falling apart. Also, they charge you an extra $19.00 for wireless.
Staff were wonderful, especially the doorman!”
We picked the hotel mainly for the striking black and white awnings outside, and the modern and comfortable looking rooms. Sadly the hotel was under scaffolding so the awnings were almost totally obscured. We had a corner room meaning windows (small ish) in two of the four walls. Unfortunately we were opposite a part built property and there were builders looking right into our room so we had to have the blinds closed for privacy, and the were not all that many lights in the room. We did think the hotel was a little bit basic on what it offered, no breakfast included, no turndown service, no complimentary bottled water or frills such as a chocolate on the pillow or a fruit platter in the room. Now I know these might sound demanding but we were paying over £350 a night so I don't think it would have been too much to ask.
Exceptional”
Lovely hotel. Really good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are lovely and modern. Bit small and the bathroom is tiny but pretty good for central Manhattan. Take some ear plugs as the walls are quite thin! Would definitely stay here again though.
Everything is excellent!”
The first day of the stay, to find bathing halter bit of a problem. The next day left a note in the room, immediately to solve it. Hotel room window you can see the roof of the Empire State Building, is like breakfast Spanish ham!
Welcoming & fun”
The hotel is centrally located for most things and we were able to walk virtually everywhere from there. Returning to the hotel felt like a return to safe and welcoming space and we were able to rest well. The hotel never felt crowded or busy and I would deffinately consider staying here again.
outstanding location, service, and decor”
This is a wonderful find in NYC. Low key elegance in hip surroundings with friendly service and reasonable prices. Well lit bathrooms, comfortable beds in modern rooms. Nocomplaints other than I could have used some bathroom hooks or towel racks. But its a stretch even to ask for that. An excellent experience.
