A gem of a hotel”

A real find in Mae Sai. Wonderful, spacious room with even more spacious shower room! Very comfortable bed. The grounds were well designed and maintained. Staff were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back.

It was my first time staying at this hotel. The room was clean and well equipped. The 100 baht breakfast was good value for money. The hotel was a few minutes walk to Makro and Tesco/Lotus. The only major problem was the absence of taxi service in the area. The hotel also could not help us on this. Eventually, I managed to hire a car with an English-speaking driver from a travel agency (Chiang Rai World Tour) @ 1500baht/per day for two days. The driver provided good service. I will return to this hotel on my next visit. However, it must improve on the taxi-call service.

One to avoid”

If you're a farang (foreigner) I would avoid this place. When I arrived I handed the receptionist the copy of my Agoda booking and he then chose to ignore me during the entire check in procedure. It was as if I did not exist. He never spoke one word to me, just spoke directly to my girlfriend. The floor in the room was filthy, hadn't been swept, gecko shit everywhere. Breakfast was disappointing, again not for the farang. I won't be back.
