Exceptional”
The price was very good. I searched for the hotel on google maps to be near where I needed to go. It's next door to Birmingham City football staium so, if, like me, you're not into football, check first to see if they have a home game!! However, that didn't detract from my enjoying the stay. Breakfast is available, has to be ordered as it's not included in the room price, at the time of my stay the price was £5 a day. The beer was also £1 less expensive than in my local pub at home. There are several eateries within easy walking distance and the city centre is not too far away, a few minutes by bus and it's a frequent service.

I like the George. Good location and very quiet apart from the fella in the room next door to us on the top floor who seems to enjoy slamming his door at 5.00 am onwards and having his tv blaring out all evening....hey ho. Selfish idiots everywhere I suppose. Did complain about him to staff.

Cheap and Cheerful”
The hotel is above a bar where the staff were warm and friendly from check-in to check out, full of information on the local area and helpful to get the things done that I needed. I needed a simple bed for the night and The royal did that, it's not a night at the Hilton but it served its need well and delivered on everything it advertised.

According to the price this hotel is not bed.the entrance of the hotel is not really good,really smelly but room was OK.they donot have proper hotel receptionist.one bar lady she handed over the key other than she doesn't know if the WiFi works in the room or not.we have to our own with several WiFi and password. At the didn't work.if somebody wants just to sleep with budget and quite place then without any question one can think about the Hotel.

If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay with no frills it’s ok. But the lights and tv didn’t work and the area isn’t great - the place felt run down. Bed was comfy though and the shower powerful.

I tried to leave 3.45 am I couldn’t get out as all exits was locked had to phone the police they helped by calling the hotel luckily some one was there would not recommend

Absolutely dreadful, rude staff! We should have stayed here for the night, but was made to feel really uncomfortable.we ended up looking at our room and then leaving with in about 5 minutes of being there. No proper reception just walk into a rowdy pub and get your key card from there. The place smells of stale beer. Would not recommend at all. Wouldn’t even give it 1 star, but wouldn’t let me continue with none!!!

dirty. worst budget hotel i've stayed”
urine stains on toilet seats, bathroom wasn't cleaned. reception is unfriendly. emailed them for earlier check-in, no reply. i've been to a lot of budget hotels and this is the worst, first time i see urine seat in ensuite toilet.

The bit ditry heating in the bedroom didn't work the shower nob keeping coming off worst thing the didn't lock from the inside didn't feel safe at all and u can't take car out late because he closes the shatters
