Beautiful hotel with obliging staff”
i was first placed in a room on the first floor facing a stone wall. when i returned to the desk to upgrade (for 30 pounds a night), i was given a wonderful room on the eighth floor facing the london eye and overlooking the thames with views of st. pauls's, etc.everything about the room was perfect and the staff couldn't have been nicer. they were perfect with helpful information about transportation and cultural sites, assistance with luggage, and fine service at breakfast. computer sites are available free of charge. the hotel is a short block from the embankment tube stop and a walk across the bridge (or one tube stop) to waterloo station. best location in london! one block to the horseguards, a few to westminster, trafalgar square, national gallery, several to covent garden. despite its central location, the hotel is so quiet and elegant! i walked everywhere, even to st. paul's and all along the south bank to the tate modern and the globe. this hotel was an important part of my dream trip of a lifetime.

A nice stay in the middle of London”
Had a great experience at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, its location is really fantastic, just a few minutes away from Westminster and Charing Cross. The building looks super nice, and the rooms and premises are very well maintained and clean. They have a small patio in front of the hotel where it's possible to eat or drink outside. Staff is good, though once at the bar it took us some time before being serve. Minor issue though. Overall we had a great stay and will surely come back!

Classic historic hotel at a great location”
Everything about the hotel spells luxury. The rooms are well-appointed, though a trifle small. The location is excellent. Close enough to the Strand and the Thames, but still in a quiet street. I will definitely return to it the next time I travel to London. It is well worth the price. A key point about the Royal Horseguards is its history. Take some time to study the building and its traditions. It used to be the headquarters of the British army, so military buffs are well advised to check it out.

Excellent friendly, top quality hotel in a great location.”
For my wife and I the staff interaction makes the hotel experience. From the doorman, to check-in, luggage storage, restaurant service the staff at the Royal Horseguards were all friendly, approachable and helpful. We booked this hotel as we had theatre tickets at the Garrick & a concert at the Festival Hall. It was an ideal location and our room (811) had great views across the river. Thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay and wished we had stayed longer. We normally stay near Kings Cross (handy for train North) but in future we will definitely choose the Royal Horseguards.

We are within walking distance of London attractions such as Leicester Square, Covent Garden, The Strand, Houses of Parliaments, Downing Street, the Southbank Centre, Big Ben, The National Gallery, Somerset House and and much much more. Please visit soon for another enjoyable (and longer) visit!
Excellent Service and Location”
We stayed here for 4 nights and found Royal Horseguards Hotel fabulous with its location and caring services. Breakfast is perfect and worth a trial despite it is a bit costly. One minor disappointment is there is not much to do within the hotel (e.g. no sauna, swimming room or gym room) so it is only perfect for stay and travel around in London.

However we have a gym on site -please let us know on your next visit and we'll direct you. I am however pleased to know that you had an enjoyable stay and found our central location and helpful team to your liking. I do hope that we will have the pleasure of you staying with us when back in London!
Best hotel during the whole trip”
My husband and I, together with another couple went to Ireland (Dublin and Limerick) and London. We stayed in a total of 4 hotels. All 4 described themselves as "5 star". One in Dublin, one in Limerick, another in London (to be close to the airport the day before we were to fly home) and The Royal Horseguard was the best! There is no better location. The building is beautiful inside and out. The rooms were clean and a very good size. As far as we are concerned, next time we will stay there.

Location Location Location Service, Food, Staff, Ambience, excellent. I would thoroughly recommend ”
Location is the key with this hotel, central London with walking distance to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Theatres etc. Having come from a catering background I could not fault anything. From the minute you walk in through the entrance door, the service was very impeccable. You were treated like you were the only one there. We stayed over for a birthday party just around the corner. The morning breakfast was also very good. Hot buffet service with tasty sausages, and the coffee was so good (not the powdered coffee) lovely fresh ground coffee. We also had after noon tea at the Horseguards Hotel the following day, and if you have time I really recommend it. The staff could not do enough for you and checked to see if everything was ok, topping up with sandwiches cakes and more tea. To Re-Cap if you want to stay somewhere central, have good food and be looked after by excellent staff. This is the place to go.

Good option for the london marathon”
We are here for the london marathon as it is bery close to the finish line. Well this is an old refurbished hotel. All the facilities are there and in good quality. Room is huge for London. The toilet floor heater is a pleasant surprise. Location is excellent. Some of the most famoust tourist spot are walkable. 2 minutes walk from embankment tube, 3 minutes walk accross the river to get a perfect pict of the london eye, 5 minutes to trafalgar square, 7 minutes to big ben, 9 minutes to westminster abbey. You can even reach buckingham palace by walking 15-20minutes through the mall. Plenty of food option around. The hotel restaurant is excellent as well. The negative side, well the doorboy. On our arrival with many luggages seems hesitant to help us unloading from the car. Wouldn't find this kind of attitude at other 5 star establishment. After the marathon the same doorboy rudely asked 'can i help you sir?' when i walked into the hotel, in disbelief if i stayed in the hotel.

Hello and congratulations on your marathon run! I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and found out super location not only useful for the London Marathon but also sightseeing. I'm so sorry to hear about the issue that you encountered with our doorman and will be addressing to ensure that it does not re-occur. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay!

Trotting along to Horseguards”
This is a fantastic hotel a short walk from Westminster, Covent Garden,Trafalgar Square and the Theatres of London. Our room overlooked the Thames and we used the clipper service from the Embankment pier 100 yards away to enjoy a trip to Greenwich Park. Best selection of Teas and Coffee I have seen in a room and nice biscuits. There was a little road noise but this was a small price to pay for the quality of the high ceilings and full floor to ceilling windows with the view over the river to the London Eye. The staff were very polite helpful and always had time to have a chat. Breakfast was fantastic and for once I was able to have a quality pot of decaffeinated coffee. Well done, one of the best UK hotels I have stayed in recently, definitely the best London hotel, worth every penny and the show we saw wasn't bad either.

Outstanding Service, exceptional Hotel”
Exceptional service by the staff from the maids cleaning the room to the door man hailing the taxis to the reception desk staff. All were very knowledgeable about London, the shops, the theatres, the sights of London. The staff were able to recommend places that would be of interest to us to visit, they were also able to recommend West End shows that were on and worth watching. We had a dress that someone spilt some makeup over it and the hotel's laundry was able to clean the dress so it looked like new. Everyone was both friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough, when I come to London again I will only stay at the Royal Horse Guards.

Blissful”
I booked this hotel because the reviews all said it was a 5 star hotel and it was in the central location that I was looking for while I was staying in London. I was not disappointed. From the moment I checked in I knew I had made the right choice. The hotel is beautiful and the location was within walking distance of many of the top attractions in London and the best shopping districts. Both checking-in and checking-out were seamless. The staff was very helpful and available for all my questions. This hotel is clean and quiet with all the extras including heated bathroom floors and towel racks that make staying there a treat. I will definitely be booking in on my next stay in London.
