Nice staff, spacious and classic room with large bathroom, we really like it .
Spacious room n good staff
This is a real hidden gem in a quiet part of the magnificent 18th century Georgian New Town of Edinburgh. Lovely spacious room with beautiful, antique furniture & tasteful, classy decor - luxurious, comfortable bed. Double window view over private park to which we would have had access had we not been so busy exploring this world class city. Conveniently located for a wide selection of New Town restaurants. Staff were welcoming, polite, friendly and very helpful - looked after our luggage for us as we were getting a late train back to Yorkshire. Generous portions of coffee, tea, sugar, milk & biscuits in the room. Lovely bathroom. Superb breakfast. All in all - just perfect!
Leisure in Einburgh”
The accommodation and location were perfect. We would have no hesitation to stay there again. If it is good enough for Princess Anne it is good enough for most. We are contemplating applying for membership.
Best stay ever”
The Royal Scots club was well situated for everything, very friendly, great price, very very clean, oldy worldy hotel with themed rooms and a touch of class, very impressed and is by far the best hotel we have stayed at so far, would well reccomend this hotel to anyone, the breakfast is gorgeous, the staff are all so polite and happy and really enjoy working here,i dont blame them either it is a place i would want to work at too, well impressed with everything
Room is big and the atmosphere is good”
Short walk to city centre, nice and quiet neighbourhood, very friendly staff
Excellent and 5-star customer service, keep our baggage well, clear, quiet
Lovely hotel with excellent staff. My only comment would be disappointment in the fact that like so many other hotels the toiletries option is in dispenser form which would not be my choice. Fortunately I would always take my own supplies.
Just excellent in every aspect
A great location close to shops Restaraunt and bars. 5 minute walk from princes street. The staff were very friendly. We had a family room 1 double 2 single beds, sofa large wardrobe and a good sized bathroom. A lot of history in the building which the hotel has maintained. All in all a pleasant stay.
Great Staff, Great Stay”
We stayed at this location three nights in a “family room” as there were three women staying together. Lovely old place with a ton of history. On site dining room served exceptional dinner and breakfast. There was one front desk clerk in particular (sorry that I don’t remember her name) but she had all the answers for us, called our taxis and generally made us feel very welcome at the club! Very nice neighborhood and within walking distance of some restaurants, though I will tell you that you are in the middle of a long steep hill so expect some strenuous walking if you do not have a car. Edinburgh is a lovely city; wish I had more time to spend there.
Beautiful building with traditional decor and a modern twist, barely a 10 min walk from Waverley train station. Regimental history very interesting. Upgraded on arrival to 2nd floor room which was a nice surprise. A clean cosy room with comfortable bed and fab shower. Unfortunately cant comment on restaurant as we arrived on Sunday and restaurant/ bar closed. However great location and plenty eating places within a few minutes walk. Definitely would recommend and stay there again .
Great breakfast option and location”
Very central location with great service. The breakfast menu is also diverse. Nice room with all of the basic amenities.
A very clean and comfortable stay. Excellent location, helpful staff and a plentiful breakfast. Good value for money considering Edinburgh prices.
Excellent accommodation in upgraded twin room with new bathroom. Convenient and quiet location. We only saw the reception staff who were friendly and welcoming.
3-star that felt like 5-star”
Everything was perfect!
Lovely traditional & friendly hotel, not too big so received a more personal service. Having breakfast served to our table was a delightful surprise. Great location
Beautiful historical architecture and furnishings with warm hospitality ”
So cozy with nice salon, beautiful, sunny and large breakfast room. High ceilings and aged furnitures. We had a lovely stay. Just in front of Queens Park, lux shops just around corner.
