The Sailing Bay Beach Resort
A wonderful location for seeing sunrise, just walk to the hotel beach by the side. Buffect dinner is cheap. Location is not conveniece to dine out but the hotel has only 2 restaurants that not much choice. Also menu is limited to one ! Beautiful out look of every room, using big glass as door and window, so give feeling of updated and openess. Very good at that price.
Nice beachfront resort, mainly Russian package-holidayers ”
This is the type of resort that you stay at if you don't want to leave the resort (as it's a 15-min taxi ride to the main 'strip' of restaurants in town). 90% of guests are Russian package holiday-makers who are on an all-inclusive package; other guests can buy for around $35USD pppn and is OK value as it includes alcohol (although limited selection and only budget brands).
Bring your own food!”
Horrible restaurant with reused food. Our "fine" dining experience was served with some of the buffet side dishes that were cold and inedible. We were there for three days and didn't have one meal that was worth paying for. Lack of attention and some of the worst dishes I have seen in my 12 years in SE Asia. To make things worse, the restaurant manager seemed to be oblivious to the lack of attention and missing cook (s) during breakfast hours. There is also no outdoor seating for this buffet restaraunt. We were asked to leave when we tried to find a place to eat in our swimwear.
Little upset about helping”
when i booked this hotel on Agoda, I can not find special request about (set up honeymoon), I try to message Resort on email but i did not receive any message. Then I called to Resort, they told me they did not receive any message and then I asked them help me prepare it . Finally, they denied us. I'm so upset about that.
this place view is amazing and receptionist are kind and friendly we completely enjoyed our vacation here we always hope we have a chance to turn back again
Very good hotel and value for money. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. The location is a bit out of the way but you can rent a motorbike for 200000d per day. If your looking for a quiet trip away this is a very nice hotel to just relax and chill. Only negative the food is a little expensive but this should be expected in a 4 star hotel.
Nice beach, nice pool, clean room and friendly staff. Food is ok, not good not bad.
Thuy from Vietnam”
Beautiful landscape, large swimming pool and clean beach, interesting kid's corner but room is not very clean. Toilet is not treated well, have bad smell..
The resort itself is beautiful, fabulous pool, lovely grounds, beach access right there but it falls short of its 4 star rating. So much potential but many things letting it down. It’s at the end of a track, miles from anywhere too. I booked a few nights in the middle of my Vietnam travels to relax and unwind before more city hopping. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t know what relaxing means... constant techno/Eurotrash music and kids games with a klaxon in the pool... The majority of the guests were on an all inclusive package and the service for those who weren’t was pretty much forgotten about, getting a drink at the pool bar took forever and on the one occasion I asked for a cocktail I was shocked - a half full grubby old plastic glass of semi stirred lime juice and tequila does not constitute a margarita! On my first day I was offered a thin white ‘beach towel’. When I asked if I could have one of the thicker blue ones I was just told ‘no’. Breakfast buffet was incredible, the evening buffet on offer looked good too but again, the food in the a la carte restaurant for those of us not on the all inclusive package was average at best. Minibar, tea and coffee wasn’t restocked, towels and sheets were grubby with questionable stains, my room had very poor lighting, no good for make up application! Excellent shower though. The icing on the cake was returning to my room one evening to a note under the door informing me that the entire pool area would be unavailable the following day while they erected a huge stage and prepared for the Russian Orthodox Christmas celebration. Although the hotel did manage to keep a small section of the pool area available (probably due in part to my complaint) how is that acceptable?! Surely they’d known for some time this was going to happen, why not detail it on the website? Just an aside - I’m not one of those British people that thinks everyone should speak my language but...The website is in English, the hotel has an Engl
Nice resort, located right at the cap”
Quite far and separate from downtown. There is public bus to downtown.
There is one problem that made me not happy. The pool staff told me that i have to take off my T-shirt, but i have personal reason that i don’t really want to say, and why i have to explain in detail with him because this is too personal. The fact is i have big scar of surgery on my chest, it might looks scary and i dont feel confident to be half-naked. A T-shirt could not affect other people in the pool, and not only me have special condition. This pool rule means body offence to some people like me
Room AC didn't work well. Except for us, patrons were entirely Russian on package trip, rudest people on the planet: cut in front of us in buffet line, and, most infuriating, would "stake their claim" to a poolside chaise first thing in the AM by placing a towel on it. Then they would disappear for lengthy periods, rendering the chairs useless to others. I fault the hotel for this, as they have no policy in place. Another minor pain was the absence of a bartender when the bar was open. Throughout the day I had to hunt him/her down to get a beer. Drinks were pricey for VN as well! The "gym" was pretty poor too, lousy eqpt. I can say one positive thing: the bellman was friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well. The physical facility was very nice and well maintained, and the breakfast buffet was good. Beach was nice, but quite a bit of trash on it. Could have stayed much cheaper closer to Phan Thiet at a facility of comparable quality, with MUCH easier access to restaurants, bars
Dont come, rule staff , dirty room”
We stayed here for one night and it was terrible. The room was full of flies and insects the sink was not clean, still have somebody hair on it. When i asked for changing room, they refused and used the mosquito spray instead while we still in the room. The floor was dirty and stinky. Asked for a bathroom cleaning but never got. The only plus is the bartender staff who was really skillful. We moved to Romana resort next day and it was beautiful unlike this one. Never comeback
Not reach to 4star resort's standardas”
The room facilities are old and bad smell from down stairs to bedroom. Although we paid 120$/night , it's worthy at all. The toilet is stuck all the times. Only one good point is breakfast with multiple choices for who loves Vnese foods.
Hotel looked very impressive, clean and big. Good for travellers looking to have a quiet holiday. Not many shops / food stalls outside, so you'll have to take a taxi out if you want to explore the area. Hotel provides shuttle services to the city so you may want make good use of that. Quite a number of upgrading being carried out during my stay (Aug 2017), so many pavements were in the process of refurbishing (had to walk on sand / grass). Hopefully the upgrade gets completed soon!
Facilities are really bad. The door lockers and bath stuffs are all rusty. ”
The room is big but facilities are deteriorated. The bed smell badly. The outdoor bathroom is terible, durty and all rusty. Food is cheap but equal with its quality. But u can walk to the side to buy some local seafood. They are all fresh and cheap. THe beach is super beautiful. It's pretty like Nha Trang beach. It's clean and clear water.
We were looking for a quite time and this place was it. It's a short taxi ride from "town." The hotels restaurant is overpriced and the food is below-average. We ate there when it was necessary. The "gym" is bare bones. I would suggest not staying in the "standard" room; which is part of the old hotel; in small semi-detached villas just north of the 5 newer, 4-storey buildings. Pay a little extra and stay in the newer block buildings "deluxe..." Tennis racquets are rented at $400,000 VND ($20USD), which is high. Bicycles are apparently free to rent but we only learned about it On our last day. There's a little convenience store just across the street from the hotel which will rent you a scooter for $10USD. In comparison, the racquet rental is 2x the price of a 24 he scooter rental.
1 excellent staff (Mr. Huy Vi) could not cover for liar staffs”
Old furniture. Salty water from tap. Staffs continuously told lie until I my serious complain at counter. Really disappointed for the 4th stay. I guest they change management team because previous 3 times staying here, my family felt great. Never choose this resort again
All the water in this hotel is salty! I do not know why! When we brush our teeth, the water is salty from the tap. When we bath, it is the same! Worse was, my friend tried to boil some water to make tea and it tastes salty! Other than the above, the housekeeping was not up to par. Rooms didn't feel clean at all and the balcony is dusty. We book two rooms but they had to give us separate rooms with another room in between us, even though I am sure we requested for connecting rooms. If you do not have connecting rooms, at least give us rooms side by side?? And to think that we booked the rooms months in advance! It does have a great view of the sea with its sunset and close proximity to the beach. The pool is a decent size but it is sandy near where the exit to the beach was. The breakfast buffet is so-so. I wished I had tried other beach resorts.
Wonderful pagoda bar overlooking the South China Sea but no drinks, staff had to go 100m to the restaurant every time anyone ordered. The restaurant providing reheated frozen meals (pizza, chicken cordon bleu)... staff whilst courteous seemed disinterested. I understand my stay was at the end of the Tet Holiday, however I would have expected more from a 4 Star resort. The presenration of the resort is beautiful, great pool, well manicured lawns and gardens, rooms large and airy and clean. A pleasant stay, but they could do better.
