About The Screen Hotel

The Screen Hotel is one of the first boutique hotels in Kyoto. The hotel is located just minutes from the Imperial Palace. A stay here is like being in your own private design house with each of the 13 rooms conceived by a different designer. The Adonis Spa offers several treatment packages to best suit your needs. The restaurant serves fusion food like Kyoto specialties mixed with French cooking. All ingredients involved in the cooking are organic and sourced locally. Guests can also enjoy a candlelit night at the lounge once a week, part of the hotel's contribution to energy saving.

Very comfortable even for large American
They really were very nice and helpful. I was traveling on business except for a few days of playing tourist in Kyoto. The was a delightful find and nice rest as well as being in walking distance of temples and other interesting sites to see.

The Screen Hotel
Location was great - close to great park and many eating options in walkable distance. I really enjoyed the room very large for Japanese standards.
We had a great time at the The Screen Hotel. the bed was great and the room size was enormous. Friendly staff and a great location for a variety of activities.

Very spacious room
Very spacious room, more like a service apartment. Trendy interior design. Many choices of TV channels. But a bit far away from subway station though located in a nice neighbourhood.

Incredible Value
Beautifully decorated room, lovely amenities, excellent customer service.
We had a wonderful stay at the Screen in one of the semi-suite rooms. The room was spacious, clean, and bright, with a huge bathroom and a comfortable sitting area. We had a great view of the shrine across the street through the floor to ceiling windows. The staff was helpful and friendly, carrying our bags and hailing multiple cabs for us until they found a driver who could take us to our next, more obscure destination. We were able to leave our bags after checking out, and they even loaned us umbrellas for the day. When one of them broke due to our own carelessness, they accepted it back graciously without hassle. Overall, the service and stay at the Screen were even better than expected. This hotel is a hidden gem, well located for strolls down Teramachi-dori, and an incredible value. I cannot recommend them enough! And book on Agoda to save a bundle over the price on their website.
