2 bedroom condo”
we love the room with jaguzzi outside the room. nice view from the corridor. however we are disappointed with the pool which not well maintain and there are no kids pool available. the parking space in resort area also limited. have to cross road and parking at the opposite space. the breakfast available is good too.
Thank you piyaman for your feedback. We are really appreciated. Best regards, Manop Y.
Good value for family holiday”
It is in quiet area but peaceful. The room is big than what i expected. Tge design is good. Very good value for money. Airport transfer is free eventhough not well arranged for picking up as agoda didnt pass info to hotel
Thank you Nalinee for your comment, we are really appreciated.
Between the Road and the Sea”
Overall this is a very nice hotel on a quieter beach in Samui. However it would be more accurate if it would be called ‘Between the Road and the Sea’ as it is squeezed between the busy ring road and the sea on the north west corner of Ko Samui. If you are booked into a road side room and you value some peace and quiet then spend 1000 THB more for a non-road facing room (a.k.a. sea view but still at a bit of distance). The staff are polite, courteous and attentive, the rooms are quite pleasantly decorated and the beach is not as crowded as those closer to the airport. There is a generous buffet breakfast with good quality fare. Unluckily, after some rain the hotel’s electricity was half knocked out, which meant no air-conditioning. Thus the balcony door had to remain open and the racket of the road caused a dark and noisy night. Hopefully that was a one-off situation as the local power company came to make repairs to the electricity pylon in the street. However, I think the hotel management could have done more such as offering us a different room or at least given a fan or cooler. Bang Po is a nice beach.
Thank you Philip for your comment, we are really appreciated.
spacious room, quiet beach”
the location a little bit far from the main shopping area, but its good for people who want a peaceful place and feel like you own the beach. The room really spacious and we love the amenities. The taste of food and drink are delicious.
Nice value for money property”
We had a 2 bedroom villa with a sea view and it turned out to be the right choice. It was a generous 150 SQ.M of space for 4 of us fully equipped with a kitchenette and washer dryer etc. Staff service was exemplary and we had some real peace and quiet here. The beach was not the best at Koh Samui but there was privacy. The view took the cake and the icing too! If the breakfast can be improved a bit then this would be the best!
Comfortable as always. This time we were in a room with a different layout than the last time we stayed at the hotel. Room was a tad smaller but we got a nice balcony to make up for this. Staffs in general were nice but not all of them are welcoming. Breakfast still needs improvement.
surprisingly large room with nice design”
overall very nice stay with quite surroundings, staffs are very friendly and accommodating. clean pool with nice beach, highly recommend for family or couple time to getaway from the busy part of the island. The whole room and toilet design is very nice but wasn't satisfy with the cleanliness of the shower place where dirt can be seen on the wall and the operation of the jacuzzi tub was not provided. Hotel location is a bit far from food and shopping, hence highly recommend to rent a bike from the shop opposite.
lovely clean boutique hotel beside the beach”
the hotel is very clean has cool swimming pool that has sun beds right in the pool. the beach is very peaceful and perfect for couples who prefer quiet atmosphere. the room has mini kitchen, tv, fridge and a balcony bathtub. the staffs there speak good english and very helpful. the opposite of the hotel has a renting vehicle place, you can rent a motorcycle or a car, super convenient. i will definitely return to this hotel!
Super nice! Quiet and idyllic!”
Really nice and humble personal that did everything they possibly could to make sure that you are feeling like a king on vacation! Free vouchers for 15min massage, clean and fresh, super breakfast, super service, will for sure go there again.

I've never stayed in a better hotel room - awesome! ”
We had an awesome stay at The Sea and would def recommend this to others. Only downside is that it's on quite a main road and the beach isn't the best in Ko Samui but if you're willing to toss that up for amazing breakfasts, top staff, the biggest room I've ever stayed in with a jacuzzi and sea view - then you're grand. Good job guys! x
Thank you Cass for your comment, we are really appreciated and looking forward to welcoming you back.
My boyfriend and I just finished a 12 night stay at the Sea and we were really pleased with our experience. Our suite was perfect, the staff were the nicest staff I have ever come across in a hotel and the facilities were great. The only downside is the location. You cannot really walk to much at all and a taxi in to Bophut was 350 baht with NaviGo (Samui Uber Equivalent) or 600 baht with a taxi.
Thank you Georgia for your feedback. We are really appreciated. Best regards, Manop Y.
Good with room for improvement”
The Sea was awarded with World record in 2016 and also a few awards. The resort is nicely build, service is fine, location is at a quiet place even it is peak season. Initially we booked the cheapest room from Agoda with The Sea. When we arrived we felt that the room is too small and without balcony. In my opinion, this room shouldn't be offered as per The Sea standard. People that coming to the beach is looking for rooms that can relax although the room might not facing the sea. This room is like a standard hotel for people to just stay for overnight. A suggestion is at least put more details on this room descriptions and more pictures to let people know what are they expecting before booked. We then decided to upgrade our room to delux sea view room which is totally different. Of course it comes with a price that are much higher than the previous room. Thanks to the staff who gave us a good rate in the upgrade. The room is clean and overall is great. The room layout design is great. However, there are some small parts of the design in the room is not friendly or is not appropriate. You can only notice it if you are a traveler that very sensitive to the convenience of the room design. My comments only refer to the delux room sea view as I only stayed in this room. Maybe the sea view with pool is excellent since this resort is awarded with world record. I noticed, one of the traveler who comments recently has the same experience as us. I wish this resort management will take a look and further improve in terms of service and the resorts.
The Sea Bang Por Boutique Resort ”
After negotiating misleading marketing rhetoric used to very efficient effect by Agoda, Booking.com et al, we gambled our money on a fantastic deal for a 'Deluxe Studio' room with mountain view- it promised all the luxury we were hoping for from a boutique hotel, exemplified by the lively photos of the promised suite and the hotels location. We felt quite pleased with ourselves having snapped up a bargain when the booking was confirmed. The reality was soon to bear fruit when we arrived after 24hrs of travel.... The 'Deluxe Studio' room was the worst appointed room in the hotel sitting on a corner of the main Buiding with a balcony floating directly above the main artery circling the island- it is very busy from 6am to 10pm with heavy constant traffic, not what you want or expect for a beachside boutique hotel. The balcony despite looking to 'the Mountains' also looked directly on to the hotels water supply and heating/ ventilation equipment. Lovely. Having remonstrated with the staff about the poorly appointed room that has been mis-sold they were more than happy to show us a room/ suite with a sea view. The suite was amazing but came at a cost which fortunately we were prepared to pay. The lesson- don't buy the cheapest rooms, best deals of the day from these sites, they are usually the worst rooms in the hotel, and the hotels always wash their hands of the responsibility blaming Agoda, Booking.com etc for the miss-sold room. That aside, the hotel its self is fantastically luxurious and the staff wonderful, welcoming and helpful. Pay the full price, it's worth it!!!
From outside did not look impressive but once you get on the beach you would not want to be anywhere else. Very few people around. We stayed in one of the villas with private pool. Very clean and all the way it supposed to be. Breakfast very pour as not much choice but having it on the see front counterbalances it.
Awesome Hotel ”
We had an amazing time the staff couldn't do enough for us The beach was beautiful and quite and not very far from our room Getting to places was so easy just take a local transport on road where hotel is . We will return some day so very happy with everything
The hotel was very clean, rooms spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Amazing spa, the treatments were worth every penny! Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a quiet area which we loved but needed to take taxi everywhere.
A great relaxing hotel”
It was a great hotel for relaxing trip. Very quiet and comfortable place. the staffs are very friendly and helpful. However, the location is a bit far from the town area, yet still we can rent a motorbike to go around the island . Overall is GREAT !!
Spacious rooms, Good Spa, Close to the sea ”
My friend and I stayed in a one bedroom sea view room, and for the price we paid, it was amazing how big the room was! The was a kitchenette - stocked with pots, pans and cutlery, a living room, a bathroom with a huge bathtub cum jacuzzi and the bedroom had a large King-size bed. There was even a small balcony with a view of the sea in the near distance which was a nice place to relax in the morning. Breakfast was served next to the beach - which was nice and quiet and had a few deck chairs where we enjoyed a mojito (or two) every day. The breakfast spread was decent - the first day we were there it was a buffet, but subsequent days we ordered from the menu on a free flow basis. We tried the spa on the second day and it was good. We both did the scrub and massage package and the scrub used real coconut and rice! It smelt great and the staff were really friendly. Right next door, separate from the hotel, was a nice local restaurant which had really good food! In terms of location, it is not too far from everything and since we had a friend who rented a car, it was really convenient for us. But if you don't have your own transport, you would definitely need to arrange something as it is not really walking distance from much. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers on a budget and families with kids.
Relaxing place, great stay”
Amazing stay! We enjoyed our time and came away relaxed and refreshed. One thing that can be improved- the music track played at the restaurant was really sad - switched between random pop covers to jazz-ish. Better to play something more soothing or subdued, I felt like I was attending a wake.
Never ever book the mountain room!”
We booked 6 nights - and we were shocked by the noise in our room, it was like every 3 second a big truck was rolling over you. no surprise, the so called «mountain room« is facing the main street, just 2 meters away. It was impossible to sleep there. The room was big, but not really super clean. There was construction at the pool, the view to the SEA was not free, because the management build some really ugly beach bar. maybe they think it's easier to make money like this, but the soul of a peaceful beach boutique resort is destroyed like this. There were some good experiences too. we got an upgrade to a quieter room (it was low season and the hotel was only occupied 40 %), the staff is helpful and friendly. really nice. The beach is calm, shallow and good for small children. not for swimming. the Sea needs improvement, especially the furniture. it's old and worn out. sadly. if you wanna have good style then you have to book a pool villa there.
