Good hotel but it’s not a 5 stars place!”

Resort has incredible garden, breakfast was very good and staff was very kind. However the amenities and hotel room are veeeery old and old fashioned. The room smelled like canalization after you take the shower, gym is tiny and treadmill is not usable.

Little value for money”

This resort has an excellent location but the charm ends there. The rooms were small and the facilities not that great. Perhaps the target market is wealthy local tourists. For us it was a learning experience, not to be repeated.

Not worth what I paid”

Yes it is located right on the sea side and has the beautiful korean traditional style buildings with the gorgeous gardens. However, the size of the resort is pretty small. It is claimed to be the five-star resort but they do not have a luggage stand, the bathroom was very uncomfortable, the room temperature was not pleasant-it was too hot so I had to turn on AC at night in January but the AC was so loud that I could not fall asleep all night (I made a claim next day and thankfully they adjusted the temperature and it was fine that night) Yes the staffs are nice in general. Also, the breakfast ends too early (the last order time is 9:15) and the restaurant was very small so people had to be on the waitlist before they could get served..... Overall I dont think it is worth what I paid. If you want to enjoy the view and the beauty of the resort, simply visit the place but do NOT stay. It is too overpriced.

A nice hotel, but changing resort(?)”

As a hotel, the rooms are unique, spacious and nicely appointed. As a resort, I have mixed feelings. The on-site restaurant was very good and included locally sourced and traditional foods, and there was a very nice cafe on site. Other things, however, were either closed (spa, access to shoreline), removed (Japanese restaurant shown on website), or reserved for "VIP" or available for rent (various simple covered platforms). A simple "resort" thing they could do would be to make bicycles available for guests, as this is along Jeju's excellent biking/walking loop around the island. Still, as a hotel, we had an excellent stay.

A lovely place for a little indulgence”

Location, kind staff, comfy bed

We stayed here for one night and were fairly happy with our experience. The staff were wonderful, a highlight of our stay for sure, their language skills perfectly accommodating and their attitudes always friendly. Breakfast was wonderful too: LOTS of eggs and salad with toast and delicious coffee served on the deck. Our room was beautiful and clean but not quite nice enough to warrant such an extravagant price however; the Japanese soaking tub out front was particularly disappointing, what with its broken wobbly faucet and the random bits of natural detritus laying in the bottom (it was an open-air tub to be fair, but it clearly hadn't been scrubbed in a few days). Despite its flaws we still had a great time at The Seaes, but next time we'll save some money and go elsewhere.

Let's talk honestly....”

Hotel garden is amazing. They are really putting lots of their effort to maintain their garden and outside of the room. So beautiful, especially during the sunset time. And food, location is good too!

I saw this hotel for a long time, every time when I visited Jeju. Always had dreamed to stay here, and I did finally!! Hotel garden is beautiful, so fantastic view with Jung-mun ocean. But when I entered the room, so disappointed. I'm traveling quite a lot, I stayed from basic hotel to five starts. This hotel price is almost 5 stars, but room inside looks like 2 stars. Very small, not clean looking, hard bed, weird towel, no complimentary bath stuff (only shampoo/conditioner they provide), minibar looks also very disappointed. I can say everything in the room was quite low quality. I never stay here again, when I'm considering the price. If you want to stay at hotel garden for a long time, you will satisfy this hotel, but if you need any comfort, then please do not choose this hotel.

Disappointing”

The only good thing is that the hotel is very quiet

The Seaes is way too overpriced for what it actually is. The resort looks tired. It feels like a cross between a luxury hotel and a traditional style resort but fails to be either. The most disappointing thing was the breakfast which was included in the price. There were four options. The Korean dish were porridge with a few extra small Korean side dishes. The American dish was pretty ridiculous. One small sausage, a tiny bacon, eggs and a slice of white bread, came with a cup of coffee but if you got the Korean you had to pay extra for coffee! Having traveled all around Korea and experienced different hotels, their services and their breakfasts I can say that the Seaes was a bit of a rip off. A couple of more things. The staff at the restaurant we're very sweet and accommodating but had no English whatsoever. Apparently there is a Korean soap opera having filmed at the Seaes and they kept on playing the same episodes on repeat at the restaurant!

Ambience of the place is good... very cozy and well maintained. The room is bigger than what was on the picture. The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent and very helpful. They even go the extra mile to ensure things went well. The only cons is that some of the furniture n fittings of the room are old n not well maintained... but overall loving the place and definitely will book on next visit.

The landscape around the hotel, close proximity to the beach, exclusivity of the hotel

Our stay was short but most memorable. The staff could not speak a lot of English but they were eager to help. Nice stay ”

The design and view are quite nice. It is a quiet place and featured in many popular Korean dramas. Transportation is not that convenient for those without a car (have bus station and can get a taxi quite easily but there is no convenient store or non-hotel restaurants nearby). Rooms are quite small and facilities are not that up to the 5-star standard, but the garden and sea view are just fantastic. If you have no fantasy for Korean drama, the place may not worth the price, although there is nothing else to complain about.

Its Cheonjeyeon restaurant and room are disappointing”

Overall it is still a nice and cozy resort. Tranquil environment as compared to those typical world chain hotels which are always full with kids and noise adults. Good scenery as well but its room is old and small. It is over priced to me. The most disappointing part is its Cheonjeyeon restaurant. I rented a car so most of the time I eat out but on our last night with the hotel, I had my dinner there. I reached the restaurant around 7.30pm and there only offered buffet dinner which was fine but then all the food is gone at the counter. The staffs also never replenish the food at all. While I was having my dinner half way, I saw a couple came in around 7.45pm and another couple came in around 8pm. Both were turned away by the restaurant staffs which shocked me as the business hours is until 10pm. The hotel is far away from the city. Its nearby Seogwipo town is about 20 min drive away. It is disappointing that the hotel restaurant doesn't provide food before its closing time.

Hotel not value for money”

Location, nice environment, convenient restaurant

Congested room with old-fashioned furniture and uncomfortable layout; providing electricity plug in bathroom for charging mobile phone and boiling water, unable to adjust room temperature to a comfortable level, TV signal unstable, spa services not available though only a few guests observed. Hotel restaurent is available but price is high.
