AMAZING - didn't want to leave!”
This was the first stop of our two weeks in Japan, and we fell in love with Kanazawa and in large part to HATCHi. We booked a whole room for our group of 5, which came with 4 bunk beds (8 beds) and huge windows to look out onto the street. Beautiful any time of the day. The city is so quiet and it's a really short walk to everything we wanted to do in Kanazawa - the old Geisha district and Gold Leaf workshop. The cheesecake in the cafe was the best thing we ate on our whole trip, and we also had Butter Chicken for breakfast - which was kinda odd, but delicious!! Bathrooms and showers are clean and modern, and there are individual safes in each bunk. I actually left my laptop in the safe - and the hotel emailed me right away and I was able to leave it with them for a week while we travelled and came back to get it at the end of the trip. Very honest and helpful staff!

Well appointed modern hostel with great food.”
I stayed at Hatchi for one week in a private room with a bunk. The room had it’s own sink and there is access to a nice bathroom for private rooms only. The room also has a big window, mini fridge with free spring water and very comfortable beds. The location is good as it’s located along the loop that surrounds the garden and castle grounds. The food from the kitchen is excellent, you can try the local nodo-guro (black throat) fish here. There’s also a cafe for coffee and sweets. Hatchi is definetly one of the best hostels in this city. I enjoyed my stay.

Regardless of price, this was a very nice place to stay”
For me it was less than $30 a night, and I could not recommend this share hotel enough. the rooms were clean and everyone seemed to stay quiet (they kept the dorm rooms a little more dim so I think it encouraged people to be more quiet). the bathrooms were a nice luxury with waterfall showerheads. the kitchen facility was also incredibly spacious. Towels are provided free of charge and the bedding was comfortable. I would stay here again if I came to Kanazawa again.

Good hostel at a great location”
I stayed in the female dorm, the bed was very comfortable. There was enough space to place a backpack and miscellaneous items next to the bed. There was a fairly big locker available. The showers were large and very clean. Clean toilets as well. Staff was very friendly. The best part of this place is the proximity to Highashichaya district, Kenroku-en and Kanazawa Castle. It was close enough that I was able to beat the crowds to the Kenroku en garden. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Kanazawa.

Exceptional”
Fantastic place to stay: very clean, modern facilities (including a personal locker), friendly staff, great value for money, Western style mattress (if that's your thing), spacious bunks, café next to reception (albeit the prices were too rich for my budget blood!), close to the main attractions e.g. Kenrokuen Garden. I could go on...… The only minor negatives were the distance to Kanazawa JR station (about 20 minutes on foot) and the fact that the showers were on a different floor to the dormitory.

Best Hostel in Japan”
Second time I'm here staying in Share Hatchi. I've been to Japan multiple times and stayed in many hostels but I have to say this one is my personal favourite.

Amazing hostel at a great location”
One of the best hostels I have stayed at in Japan. The bus stop is few minutes away from the hostel. Near Higashi Chaya district and walking distance from most attractions in Kanazawa. Rooms were clean and staffs were very helpful. Will definitely stay here again if I find myself in Kanazawa.

Great place for a long weekend stay”
I only stayed two nights but everything was super clean and well kept, which is very important to me when staying in a hostel. The dorm beds were the biggest bunks I've ever seen! They had so much space and each had a light, outlet, mirror, and small locker for valuables. I had no trouble finding the place and check-in was easy. I really liked the fact that for the women's shower room, you were required to put in a passcode before you could access it. Overall, I'd stay here again if I come back to Kanazawa!

Wow!!! I am amazed”
The cleanest place I have ever been to and very cheap! 20min walk from station and located 15min from kenroku-en garden, kanazawa castle, contemporary arts museum.... the showers were so nice with natural rain fall option. They provided guests with free toothbrush and towel. The bunkbed had room on the side for bag and there was a lock system box. The staff was amazing they kept my suitcase until 21pm on my check out day! Thank you I’m so glad I found this place!!

One of the best hostel experiences I've ever had.”
Lovely stay place to stay in Kanazawa if on a budget. Dorms are excellent with a good amount of space for storage and power outlets next to the beds. The beds themselves are large and very comfortable, (I'm 6' 3") and bathrooms surprisingly large with a fantastic shower. The communal kitchen is well equipped, while the in-house cafe serves more than decent coffee, as well as great pastries and muffins. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Great hostel in Kanazawa city center”
This is the best hostel I have stayed in so far. It is very clean both for the room and other common areas. It is also very safe. A password is required to access women's shower room. The receptionists are super helpful and friendly. A cafe and restaurant are available in the hostel too. Food is reasonably priced, yet it is very delicious. Everything provided by the hostel surpassed my expectation. I will definitely come back and stay at this hostel again next time.

The coolest hotel in Kanazawa”
It's quite far from Kanazawa station, but the hotel design is fantastic! We are the group of 3 people and it is very comfortable for us to stay

Brand new hotel, good location”
Im not sure how the shared rooms look like, but our private one was really nice. Everything is brand new. Even though the shower is shared it is literally two steps from ur room, always clean and well equipped. Sames goes for the shared areas.

It's clean, quiet and smells great!”
It smells like grapefruit. The pods are comfortable and have their own locked cabinet. I checked to see if they had other sites because I would have stayed there too. They are expanding, but they're only in Kanazawa so far.

Beautifully designed, super trendy. Very clean and well-planned dorms”
The dorms are generously sized and well planned - there is space to store luggage under the bunk beds, the bed space is large with big locker within your own area, and good curtains to shut your area off (as opposed to the cheap blinds you get elsewhere). Linen is good quality, bunk beds don’t creak. It is very quiet, with a lot of local tourists and business-men type clients. Cleanliness: excellent. Best shower I’ve had in my whole stay in Japan (and I stayed in 5* spa hotels!). Great location near the Kenruoken Gardens/Castle and the Geisha district. Near a stop of the tourist-loop bus. Staff young, trendy, friendly and helpful. Lobby is also a cool shop/coffeeshop/restaurant. Would definitely come back!
