Bad experience
Totally doesn't worth the price. Very expensive if you would like to go to the pools in Summer as it's not included in the room rate. The staff at the front desk is not very helpful. The room itself is nice, clean & modern although it's a bit small.

Only for the obscenely wealthy
The entire stay felt ludicrously overpriced, and deterred from any enjoyment I could feel. The only wine options in the mini-bar cost $100 USD for a half-size bottle. A chamomile tea cost $14USD. Two local phone calls of under 5-10min each cost $20. Breakfast was NOT included in the room rate, and cost $80 USD/day to add. Most disappointing of all was that there was no fresh milk in the room to make tea/coffee, and there was no movie option in the room despite an enormous tv. The few dishes I tried were variable. The salmon graveleux salad was terrible- completely uncured salmon, and the only condiment provided was half a lemon thrown into the bowl. The room was lovely, and larger than most, with a great view, and the gym and swim facilities were nicely maintained. Metro nearby. But other than this, thoroughly unrecommendable.

Staff were very prompt and professional.
There is no.place better to stay in Seoul. Make sure to go for breakfast by 9.15. There is a bit miscommunication there. If you are going to pool make sure have your credit card since they are hesitant to accept money.

Mediocre service, facilities restrictive
Been to the Grand Hyatt in Seoul a few times so thought I'd try a different hotel to compare. Unfortunately this was not a smart decision. While the property is impressively large and centrally located, the Shilla was a bit of a disappointment considering value for money. Service was so-so and not consistent. Worst part was that the outdoor poor, which was one of the key selling features in the Shilla's description, required an extra US$50 per guest per use!! The Grand Hyatt's outdoor pool sits in the middle of a beautiful large garden and is free of charge, any time of the year.

Perfect service !!!
Location wise is not very convenient if u have kids as there aren't many food choices for the kids to choose from. But service wise , it's definitely one of the best I had compared to other hotels I have stayed before. I feel like a princess staying in this hotel as the staff pampers us a lot =p

The best hotel in Seoul
No compromising quality hotel except for the location to business. It must be the best one for family trip.
