Excellent Location, Exceptional Service”
I love this hotel! Was scouring the internet for hotels near USJ and came across this gem. It did not have a lot of reviews when I booked it but from the ones that were left, I was hooked. So I booked a 2-night stay for a family holiday and it did not disappoint. One, it is really near Universal City Station (by near I mean adjacent to it). Universal City Walk is a minute walk while Universal Studio Japan is at most a 5-min walk. Since it is really near Universal City Station, going anywhere in Osaka does not take too long. We went to Dotonbori on our 1st night there. Two, it is new (opened in 2017 I think). Three, the room is spacious (I booked a corner room so it might be bias). Four, the staff are really helpful and super friendly. The cherry on top is certainly the Skyspa on the top floor. (For beginners, i.e 1st time traveller to Japan, it is sort of like a hot spring in the hotel. What you do is you go up to the 14th floor, bring the hand towel provided by the hotel and wear the yukata prepared by the hotel. Bathe before you go into the hot spring and bathe again after. One crucial thing is you have to be naked at the soaking area. You can bring the small hand towel with you but do not wet it at the pool. All your belongings must be stored in the lockers provided and this should go without saying that phones and cameras are not allowed in the spa.) No downside to this hotel although if you want to be picky then the breakfast might not suit your palate as it caters mostly to the locals. My family and I love it tho. Another unique thing about the hotel is the amenities are given freely at the lobby, so a little self restraint is advised. In conclusion, this hotel has met my expectations and more. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.
Family had a wonderful experience at Singulari Hotel”
Singulari Hotel was our first choice when we started planning our trip to Osaka, Japan six months ago. The main advantage was its pricepoint relative to its location. The hotel is elegant yet priced competitively. The rooms are clean, lively, and cozy. More importantly, its location is excellent. I mean it is literally a few steps away from the JR Universal City station, Universal Studios Japan, convenience stores, souvenir shops, and restaurants. What makes it even more compelling to stay at Singulari hotel is the great service.
Singulari Hotel & Skyspa excellent for Universal Studios stay”
The Singulari Hotel was a perfect choice for a vacation that included Universal Studios, Osaka. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the top floor spa was a good option. Also, the laundry room on the top floor came in quite handy. The breakfast was good, too. We would recommend, though, not having breakfast at the hotel every day for two reasons: 1) it was good, but basically the same each time, with minor variations of a few dishes, and 2) there are some many other good options nearby. Added to that, the hotel is just a few steps from the entrance to the subway, and just a short walk from the gates of Universal Studios. Quite nice, indeed.
USJ”
The main purpose of staying here is to visit Universal studio OsakA. Stayed here for 2 nights with my 8,5,2 yr old. The location is perfect. Its connected to JR train and so much restaurants and shopping center. The skyspa is awesome add on but being naked with other people than my hubby is not for me. The rumor is true it does not provide coffee at your room. But who cares , starbucks, lawson , tullys just downstairs! we stayed at a tiny room with 2 beds and cot. we had the river view. I expected the room to be tiny cause you are in Japan but I was surprise I was able to open my regular size L size luggage here. Our other hotel we did not have this privilege. Oh I did not pay anything else here when I arrived compared to the other hotel in kyoto. I will stay here again.
Best location & Best value!”
Tthe best value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days stay. The skyspa onsen (free) is absolutely necessary after each hard day of play. Within 5min walk to JR Station and 10min to Osaka station, absolutely convenient to base here for your Osaka adventure. Universal Studios entrance is 5min thru Universal City Walk. Surprised there's so much good food there. This hotel is highly recommended but skip the breakfast, the morning crowd rush is simply too much.
Great value for excellent hotel. Big catch for Universal Studio's fans”
I tried to book this hotel for few days during my stay in Osaka when I visited Universal Studio but there wasn't any room so I actually stayed there for one night after coming back from Kushimoto and prior to leaving Osaka to Okinawa and it was fantastic! I happened to book when it was on sale so I had to pay extra for breakfast but it was worth it. The hotel was very busy during the time I stayed (so was Universal Studio), but location is very convenient, few steps away from JR Station, and steps away from the bus stops to either Kansai or Itami airport (which I used the bus to get to Itami). The spa was beautiful and has tremendous facilities. The room is clean and designed very nicely, it's not that big but has a smart interior which leaves enough space to unpack/pack my luggage. An excellent hotel to stay specially for folks who intend to spend time in Universal for multiple days.
Amazing hotel, definitely would like to choose again”
no need to mention the great location of this hotel, 30 seconds walk to metro, 5 minutes walk to universal studio, 1 station away from Zepp Osaka. The staff are helpful and friendly, the overall ambience is comfortable and relaxing. The most impressive award absolutely goes to the skyspa where you could enjoy the starry night sky in a unique Japanese way, which is worthwhile experiencing.
Skyspa the best”
Skyspa operate from 1500hrs till 1100hrs (next day) , enjoy spa during mid night is new experience. Rejuvenate after long hour sightseeing around Osaka or whole day attraction at Universal Studio Japan.
A stone throw away from d station. excellent location. clean n new”
After a full day at universal studios, trust me its easier to stay at a hotel nearby. Rather than brave the crowd to the station n travel to the city (namba, osaka-umeda). Universal city station is literally 1min away. Get on the JR loopline to get to otherparts of osaka. Since u r in d area, do take d ferry to cross over to tempoza to visit Kaiyukan or Aquarium. The hotel is comparatively new. All basic amenities are available. They even allow us early check in which we very appreciative of. Given that we had it hard travelling from Nagoya due to Kansai airport still closed from flooding. Check in n check out both a breeze.
Great stay!”
We were only in Osaka for 3 nights and we intended to do Universal Studios so found this hotel to be very very convenient! Hotel was just outside the train station and few minutes to Universal Studios. Amenities was good, they provided pajamas for us (me and husband) and our 2 kids. Breakfast was really nice, great selection of food. Room was spacious and not your usual small room that you get in Japan. We would return here again! Loved out stay!
Highly Recommend Hotel with great onsen and service”
This hotel is a stone throw from the Universal City train station only. Nearby lots of foods and eatery plus GAP outlet store. The staffs speak good English and very friendly helpful too. The hotel provide the best top floor onsen for both gender with vending machine that sell instant noodles, drinks and beer too. The hotel lobby also provide free flow of toiletries, shaver, cotton and combs too. It’s less than 100m to the entrance of universal studio and there is also a airport bus direct from a Universal Studio to Kansai Airport. The train is also short distance to Osaka and Namba Station too great for shopping and lots of foods. This hotel is very good for couples as well as for family. The only things they need to improve is to have more English TV channel instead of Japanese programs only.
best choice for usj that I can tell”
As theme park mania I've been to several hotels in USJ and this time was my first experience in Singlari hotel, and this was the best ever. It's right beside the metro station and its facility and service is outstanding. I stayed 2 nights and used Skyspa twice and it was very relaxing for me. I totally recommend Singulari hotel to anyone searching for a best one at USJ.
Very close from the station ”
The room is nice. Comfortable for the three of us. They just dont have coffee inside the room. Location is so near from the station. Nice to stay in this hotel if your itinerary is at the bay area like Universal Studios and Osaka Aquarium. Far from other tourist destinations like Dotonbori.. Osaka Castle.. etc..
Great location”
We stayed there because we wanted to be near to the universal studio osaka. It was a walking distance from the usj and and just about 30 steps from the universal city train station. It is a new hotel, it has a great spa and the room was clean and quite spacious. Breakfast was not so good though, they have a very limited menu and after 1 visit to the restaurant, I’d rather buy breakfast at mc donald’s which was nearby (and I don’t usually eat junk food, which tells how much we don’t like the food at the hotel). You can find toiletries at the lobby near the reception area. You can take as many cotton buds, razors, toothbrushes and all other kits as you need from there as they don’t provide these kits in your room.
All good”
I had booked a singulari king room for my family including 2 kids aged 11 and 8. During check in the staff recommended that I change to bigger room. Unfortunately it wasn’t available and then they gave me an extra room with no additional cost. The universal studios is near by and kids had a lovely time. There is a nice spa but they can add a pool. It’s a new property and super clean.
Great location. Right next to universal city station.”
Great location if your visiting universal studios japan. It is next to universal city station. Lots of great food at city walk. Place was clean. Does not often free bottled water however drinking water from the bath tap is ok to drink. You can purchase water from vending machines, plenty around in Japan. Room is a decent size, it also had a sofabed in replacement of chairs in the room which was great compared to Tobu levant hotel in Tokyo we stayed was smaller. I would stay here again. Skyspa was a nice experience also.
Highly recommend!”
We actually booked a different hotel (Keihan City) for 2 nights but since we had a bad experience with them on the first night, we decided to transfer to Singulari for our second night. Definitely no regrets from the additional cash we have to pay. Hotel is very modern (just opened Aug 2017) and room was very comfortable and spacious. Complete amenities, with a Sky bath and relaxation room on the 14F that sets it apart and unique from other hotels along USJ City Walk. Hotel is literally beside Universal City Station, then USJ City Walk. No need to cross a street. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Theme park hotel”
Very nice and new hotel. Great location literally 10 steps away from the JR station exit and very close to universal studios japan. However The hotel is half hour train to the centre of Osaka on the JR line, which requires multiple switches. The hotel itself was great, small but nice. Next time I’d rather stay in Osaka and just travel into Universal Studios if I ever wanted to battle the lines of the theme park again.
Love this hotel! Favourite out of all the hotels we stayed during our stay.”
I have nothing to pick on, everything was perfect. The location was so convenient, just right beside the exit of University City station, and few minutes walk to Universal Studios Japan. The hotel was very new, staff were very helpful. The room was spacious and the sky spa was great! Out of all our stays, this is definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in.
The Closest Hotel to Universal City Station”
The price of the hotel stay is generally on the high side because it is meant for people who visit the Universal Studios that is just walking distance away. The room is spacious clean. The downside is that the room door isn't sound-proof. Therefore, be ready to be irritated by guests who talk, even in normal volume, as they walk to their own room. I noticed that many guests from mainland China like to stay in this hotel. The Skyspa looks luxurious but unfortunately, it can get very crowded even late at night. If you want to avoid the crowd, the best time is between 3pm to 5pm, when majority of the guests are out of the property. Counter staff do not greet you as you enter the lobby, unless you walk to the counter. There is a money exchange machine, which is convenient if you're desperate to exchange for more Japanese Yen. It is convenient to get food as you are surrounded by levels of restaurants of different cuisines, and there is also a Lawson located very nearby.
