This hotel is a great value in general... great location and comfortable, and the staff are helpful. The bed is comfortable and has nice linens, and the bathroom is clean and new. I recommend bringing earplugs as it's above a bar. Also, my air conditioner didn't function super well all the time, and had an alert saying it needed to be cleaned. I don't like air conditioners pointed at my head while I'm in bed, and this one was. But again, in general, this place is a great value, and I felt they did their best to make it a pleasant visit.
Outstanding hotel in Chinatown”
The hotel is okay, we had a room without a window (so if you are claustrophobic, check your room before!). You can reach the most frequent places even by foot in Chinatown. The MRT stations are really close to the hotel. Our stay was pleasant.
Excellent location boutique hotel”
We love the location, so close to mrt, food courts shopping etc. So convenient to every where. Nice and clean room. The cons are the room is extremely small and it was difficult to move around. One thing that is really affecting our review is the way shower was in the same location of toilet ..it is wet floor after shower and it was difficult to use toilet .
Good hotel in the heart of Chinatown!”
Its a small room but enought for a solo traveler like me, I got a single room. Close in everything in Chinatown and the staff are friendly as well. They always clean everyday. Will definitely go back here. 💗
Central and great breakfast”
We spent all of our 7 days here out traveling and exploring, to comeback to the MRT which is just across the road makes this place very central. Happy Hour is all day long so great for a afternoon session or night cap in the Whiskey 🥃 Bar. They make great meals and such value for money. We really enjoyed our stay here and the nightly musicians.
Good location and nice staff”
Just few more walk from China Town MRT, if you don't want to stay in the China Town which might be crowded. The staffs are really nice, they have a welcome drink and small bar at the lobby. I haven't tried their food yet. The facilities are quite okay, but some items such as towers are abit fuzzy and not really comfortable. You feel like you have used the towels for a long time like that. Suggest the hotel to changing new ones. It's location is good and convenient. Reasonable price anyway.
THE BEST LOCATION CHINATOWN!”
Normally we don't spend this much on room...tried to find more affordable thinking we will travel into town then decided to just do it and buck up. It was really good experience even though not including a breakfast plenty of options around. The restaurant there is good and at night is bustling but can't hear in room. This location is perfect...right in Chinatown edge and the historic district is 5 minute walk. The room is very well laid out and Super clean. Singapore is expensive that's why we did just 4 days but alot fun
Excellent upkeep of room cleanliness shows thoughtfulness towards guests' comfort during their stay; especially important for Singapore's tropical humid climate. Staff's friendliness (from house-keeping, restaurant, bar; through to concierge) reflects the hotel management's overall high service value. Though not a full-service hotel, the cleanliness, location and hospitality makes Southbridge an excellent value selection.
Amazing friendly team at Southbridge ”
I go to know all the staff who made me feel at home. Food was delicious, you have to try the Lava Cake All hotels i have stayed at including some 5 star ones could learn alot from this amazing team. Special thanks to Cassanda
Best Price, Location and Staff”
Checked in early and also provided us with free vouchers to drinks at the bar. Room was very clean, good size for backpacking. Restaurant was excellent and if you stay at the hotel you get 50% off the bill which is amazing since Singapore is slightly pricey. Overall great stay... would recommend to anyone who wants to save money and stay in a great location with friendly staff!
Good value in a great location in Chinatown”
A good place to stay if you need something close to Chinatown. It's above a bar so don't stay here if you are concerned about some noise at night. Room was small but clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room is too small, the same price you can get a better room somewhere else.
This hotel was fine for a short stay. The room and linen were clean, though there were tiny ants in the washroom and on the walls. Room was small but functional. The wet bath has only a rain shower head - there was good water pressure but it's not convenient if you want to keep your head dry. Staff were polite but basically indifferent. Music from the bar downstairs was playing (not loudly, but audibly) until well past midnight, and I was on the third floor for a Sunday-Monday. Location can't be beat.
Great location to start a stay in Singapore if you don't mind not having a window in your room. Rooms small for two, compact, but all essentials adequate. Not suitable for large pieces of luggage and only for light travellers !
Great location, moldy room”
Hotels in Singapore are quite pricey and we got a room at this hotel at a discount. It was worth it. The room was on the smaller side but modern. Its a great location in Chinatown, close to all the attractions and the MRT. However, it smelled very moldy. Without windows its impossible to air it out. I would try a different hotel the next time or go to a hostel.
Small but have everything that you need and also close by China town”
I went there for Ultra music festival at Marina bay sand with my bf. everything was so nice and the hotel is really close by Marina bay sand. you can walk for 15 mins or take a train. The room was really clean just only too small.
Near Sri Mariamman temple, Clean and comfort but no window”
Room- small, but comfort. There are everything that traveller need Bathroom- powerful water which is nice Bed- it is enough for 2 people with 4 pillows The room service will help you to change towel everyday if you let’s them know Overall- i will definitely stay here again next time
Perfect location and enjoyable stay”
Like all budget hotels in Singapore, the rooms are small. However the room was perfect for my one night stay. Very comfortable bed with lovely choice of pillows. Shower room and toilet immaculately clean and I love the powerful rain shower. Location in Chinatown and a short walk to the MRT. All together excellent and I will book again next time in Singapore.
This hotel is not worth the money. I was going to stay 3 nights but decided to stay for 2 days only. There were bugs everywhere like on the ceiling and also on the bed.. (bed bugs yikes) and also the towels smell moldy. Do not get fooled by the pictures. If I ever go back to Singapore for stay, I will definitely avoid this hotel. On the brighter side, staffs are nice but thats about it.
Nice hotel in a good location”
After reading mixed reviews on this hotel, my husband and I were slightly precautious when we booked this place. It turned out to be great and met our expectations. Location: central, very close to the Chinatown station, walking distance to marina bay and other sightseeing places. Room size: queen size room is slightly small with a double bed, bedsit table, small tall wardrobe; a desk and a chair. As we were mostly out during the day, room size didn’t bother us at all. It’s small but has all the necessary items in it for a comfortable stay. Cleaningness: very clean Only one negative fact is that the rooms are not very well noise-insulated, we lived on the 3rd floor and early in the morning we were woken up by the noise of hoover and cleaning staff walking in the corridor and other rooms.
