Unfortuneately the access to the Flatlet was very steep. I understand that this is a Fire Escape but I felt uneasy with it. There was a private function right underneath our flatlet. The music was extremely loud. Trying to sleep was impossable. Nice view, but I would not stay there again.

An absolute delight”
Our accommodation at the Spyglass was perfect. We had our own sitting room and kitchen to make our breakfast. Our stay was first class in every way and look forward to returning next time.

Hard to leave the “Crow’s Nest”!”
What’s not to love about a self contained, very private unit with a huge seaside view and balcony? Freshly painted and very clean. Generous breakfast hamper and lovely staff, and a restaurant just below with a great menu.

Great Room”
Lucked out with this booking - great price and location. Couldn't get any better being so close to the sea. Wish we were able to have stayed longer! Facilities are great, spacious and almost a home away from home. There's also something great about being left with breakfast ingredients to cook up how you like in the morning, what a fantastic idea. Staff are super friendly too and some great food and drink options at the pub itself. Only gripes would be how noisy the couple upstairs were - not particularly much soundproofing between floors (guessing we were just a bit unlucky with that). Secondly, the downstairs rooms are close to the runs outside the kitchen and staff break area, so lots of smoking/general noise (obviously can't be helped if that's the staff area, but something to consider). In terms of parking, there's plenty of spaces up the top at the La Falaise car park, and also along the esplanade.

Stayed for 3 days after the festival to recover. Fridge was stocked with breakfast goods, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, 2tins of beans. Even milk and cereal. Jo, John, Kate and Sam to mention but a few work tirelessly. Will definitely be staying again. Room was great, sea view from all rooms. Thanks so much guys

Fabulous views”
Stunning view from your windows and deck. The pub has a range of lovely food. In the apartments you make your own breakfast, generous portions. Only slight glitch is the internet and phone signals are intermittent at best so if you have a deadline or urgent task you can’t rely on it. Would still stay again because the view is breathtaking and Ventnor itself is lovely.

A perfect location with surprisingly spacious and charming accommodation. Our four days here has been a joy ! Food in “ The Spyglass” is above average for a pub and plentiful . There has even been live entertainment on three of our four evenings.

For an old pub rooms and DIY breakfast better than expected but very steep external steps to rooms. Downside no on site parking and food could be better. Smoking Lobster just down street far better food and not much dearer

Lovely stay ”
Room was basic but lovely, bed was really comfortable and all the facilities were perfect. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and we couldn’t fault the staff one bit. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a lovely stay
