Service excellence at it's fineness! I was greeted warmly by the concierge upon arrival and without much hassle, I was already checking in at the front of house. Paperwork was fuss free and easy. Nothing much to really complain about. Room was excellently prepared and the view was breathtaking especially during sunset! One of the best place that made my stay in Sanya worth while. The private beach is a picture perfect spot.

Extremely disappointed ”
When we arrived, first our suite had no sea view, so we had to fight and request one or we leave as it was what we booked. Luckily they got one with partial sea view. The suite is beautiful, nothing to say about it. The beach is very nice as well. The staff is totally undertrained. Comparing st Regis in the world to this one, it was horrible !!!! Staff is not multilingual, we go to the restaurant, nobody to welcome us or even one waiter (at 9:30pm when the restaurant closes at 11pm..) staff was simply horrible. Let's not talk about the multiple pools which are totally disgusting. Lastly, we highly don't recommend to take the boat. They have beautiful boats, but they take you for a tour and back at the marina that's it. It's overpriced for only 2 hours around 1 000€. The staff of the boat is horrible and extremely rude !!! And they take you to a "beautiful snorkeling place" which is actually 200 meters from the hotel and there was no fish, only jelly fish. We rented jet ski, of course as soon as we take it out it stops working. Simply horrible and we do not recommend anyone to go there ! We ordered room service a few times, the food arrived cold or just little warm every times. Very bad experience, and it's sad to see a St Regis been so unwell managed. Oh and lastly, we order a bottle of champagne at the bar, the St Regis tradition wants the bottle to be open with a saber, the waiter told us, no we don't do it here. Then is it really a St Regis hotel or another brand?!!!!

Great stay , great hotel but with bit of disappointment ”
- our 3 rooms were upgraded with fantastic seaview from balcony area. - however, room number 2730 spotted toilet bowl corner left with two cigarette butts - lights at bath tub & living room blinking - staff is kind enough to offer change of room but I rejected it as it was pretty late about 10 plus in the night when we checked in after 9pm and I need to rest for early set off next day. - breakfast spread was fine but not BBQ dinner buffet that we paid for. (Honestly not up to the 5 stars hotel standard on food varieties) - chicken wing was cold, noodle part of it uncooked, clams with sand (informed the staff but staff just noted ion the feedback despite we requested if possible to get the chef to cook a plate of noodle for us, no action taken) - suffered 7 times diarrhea & stomach cramps the next day (not sure if is resulting due to the consumption of the food) - the long connecting pool looks awesome but never get a chance to experience it as it was closed! 😞End up we proceed to use the other pool nearer to the beach instead.

Bad service”
Pool, bed, recreation activities
The hotel is a bit old with old design and facilities. Room is average for such a hotel level and location. The food is average and we usually went to the city for a good seafood restaurant. The hotel staff performance is very poor with very bad service. Good staff was part of the recreation team only. This hotel is much below other st. Regis hotels level and obviously below the Four Seasons or the Ritz- Carlton service standards.

delicious food. nice scenery. very good spa.
allowed to check in early and given an upgrade. thank you! the scent at the corridors is refreshing. heard that it is pinewood aroma. the spa they provide is on offer with one for one. the 5 elements massage is really good! never done such spa before. they use herbs-soaked towel to do the massage and it heat up the body. very relaxing.
