Summary: My room was great. I booked the cheapest room, very inexpensive and was surprised there was no TV. Also surprised at the small cash deposit, which was cheerfully refunded, even with my early checkout. Pros: Great price. Great room. Great security (guards and multiple key card points). Bustling neighborhood with 7-11s, and lots of food options. Clean. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning and hot water Both worked well. I was happily offered multiple WiFi access codes and the WiFi speed what great. Cons: Building photo is patently false and inaccurate. It’s a plain Thai apartment. The neighborhood is tucked away in a small university sub-district. While taxis are available, it’s a bit of a journey in/out of the zone, but easily under 100฿ to/from Don Muang airport. I was a bit put off by the 500฿ deposit, but they arranged for the guard to return it to me when I checked out at 5am, so they were quite helpful. I was also shocked that there was no TV in the room. If you knew how low their rate was, it almost makes sense, so I actually don’t blame them. But, it wouldn’t inconvenience them to include one.

the photo belongs to "Bundit apartment", not "The Star" where is located 300meters away. It took me an hour to realize the fake photo as I was refused by them! please check this with The Star and I want to know why they did such a idiot!! secondly, there were completely nothing in the room but a bed and I had to ask the staff to prepare hanger, bath towel, garbage box, comforter. they gave me because of long stay. I think they should prepare "TV/Refrigerator" at least. Good point is so many small restaurants around the hotel, good access from the airport. and so close to the golf course where I used to play.

I think this is really a student apartment that rents out vacant rooms. No bottle of water, no toilet paper, no top sheet. The neighborhood is a college town for Rangsit University so almost everyone is a student. It's OK if that is what you're looking for.

bizarre hotel”
Really weird hotel When I first walked in there were no staff at the front desk, I had to walk into the office to get their attention. They looked at me as if I was from Mars, like what could this foreign person wearing a large backpack possibly want in a hotel? My translator/girlfriend had to explain I wanted a room, there was no English spoken at this hotel. The room itself looked very nice and up to date, but the bathroom was filthy. Hair all over the floor and in the sink, urine stains all over the toilet and a used bandage in the shower. Also no soap or drinking water were provided. In order to get around the hotel you need your room key card, there are doors all over the place and you need the card to get both in and out. Pain if you have a visitor over, you have to escort them to the front door when they want to leave. Also you have to pray there are no fires and you get trapped somewhere without your card. Otherwise everything was fine.

This is an apartment that has spare rooms for rent. If you are looking for a room for a recent price with recent quality, this place is fine. There is no service or anything. The room is not that clean like hotel but it is fine. Overall, I have a positive with this place. It's not that half bad.

Avoid late check in - otherwise difficult to obtain reserved room”
Not so impressed with this hotel. We arrived at 11:00 pm but no staff found to check in. After 20 minute wait the hotel security guard was able to finally get the hotel staff to come. We booked two rooms and one room was never cleaned, bed unmade, no towels - disgusting!!! We check out next day and while driving hotel calls to let us know that they had our passport in their copy machine - WTF?
