Had a wonderful stay”

Had a great time in sapporo because of the staff and this hostel. Very spacious bed with socket and safety boxes as well. The hostel is around 5- 10mins walk to the nearest subway which in susukino. The staff were very nice and was able to talk to them during my stay here specially imam. I asked them some tips on how to go to places and what ramen shops are nice to visit. Again thank you for the very warm stay and the bicycle that made me cover more of what is in sapporo. I recommend you stay here if youre a solo traveller or even in groups. Will stay here again when I get back. :)

Two thumbs up”

clean room, kind staff, location

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed throughout my travels. They just opened and rooms are super clean. The staffs were very kind and funny(especially, Kodai). The party with staffs was fun. They were willing to help me to find the place that I wanted to visit. If I visit Sapporo again, I would def. stay at this hostel again. It feels like I stayed at the 5-star hotel.

great hostel”

loved this hostel ! had great facilities including two sitting rooms, a big kitchen and laundry facilities. our double room was very small but thats what you get in japan! we did have to ask for another blanket as we were there over new years but they were only too happy to oblige. the location is great! its about a 10 minute walk into Susukino, a major nightlife district in Sapporo. the staff are fantastic! we were there over new years and they put on a great party on new years eve. they also did a number of other parties including a sushi party which was great to meet other people. the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and gave us many reccomendations for restaurants in the area. the bathrooms are private on each floor (shared, but "pod" style) and you can lock the door. they are spotless ! highly reccomend!

New and clean budget hostel.”

stayed 4 nights in room 801. Room can accommodate 4 pax. 2 double decker beds provided. Shared toilets n bath are clean n new. Hotel serves by 1 lift and rooms accesses are Pin controlled. Exit 4 of Susukino station (blue line Namboku). Turn left (see Asahi beer) . Then FIRST Right . See road sign S5 4W. Go straight 100m turn Right again . (Round 1 bildg with a big bowling pin on top of building will be at your rear after you hv turned right. Go straight n check the road signs ( hostel is at S5 8W). walk right to the end..you see two big chinese words (bbq meat) turn right about 50m you see 7Eleven opposite the road and your destination is 4 bldgs next to 7 Eleven. (look out for small hostel signage. Hostel highly recommended if you dont mind the 10 mins walk from the train station , shared bath and thin walls. (offset by reasonable rent) .

Very suitable for backpacker”

We visited Sapporo on Feb 2017. It is winter time. The coolest month of Hokkaido. Distance: According to Google Maps, walking distance within Susukino Station & The Stay is only 10 mins. By the way, it is quite hard for us who with children & older in a group. After this experience, we decided to rent car instead of using public transport or walking. Room Size: The room is pretty small. We booked Family Room (6 Adults). There is a narrow walkway. It is hard to walk for 2 persons. Space to put in our luggages is limited. Common Area: I like the common area especially lounge at 10F. There is big with cityview. Environment is clean also. Convenience Store: 7-11 is juse 2 lots next to the hostel. Supper is not a problem to us. Laundry service: The dryer size is half of the washing machine. So that 1 time full load clothes washing, have to pay twice for the dryer. My suggestion, there is a laundry next to the 7-11. Dryer & washing machine there are more powerful. Parking Lot: They have own parking basement with lower price which is 500yen/night. But it is strictly for small car height below 1.5m only. We rented MPV, the height is over 1.5m, so that we park at the hourly charge parking lot just aside the hostel. Of course, the parking fee is more higher.

Nice place to stay”

Overall, this hostel was great! It was a bit hard to find at first, but once you get it it's not bad. The location isn't the best because it's away from the subway station, though. It's a bit inconvenient because it's about a 25 minute walk, or a bus ride for 15 minutes. Close to Odori Park, walkable to most places around central Sapporo. There's a pizza place downstairs that was pricey but nice, as I hadn't had pizza in a couple months. You get a discount for staying at Stay Sapporo, but you have to buy a drink as well, so it sort of cancels out the discount. Lounge on 10th floor was large and pretty quiet, so I enjoyed it! Needed 1000 JPY deposit.

The staffs are very friendly and the beds were comfortable. The lounges at the 3rd and 10th floors are very nice and it was very easy to socialize since they have a lot of events going on at the hostel. I regret not staying there longer and would definitely go back to this hostel again next time I visit Sapporo.

Nice and cool place to stay”

The facilities are almost 100% completed and we are very comfortable to use their dining hall and the kitchen. The heater is not functional enough and makes our room quite cold. Since we still can bare with coldness of Sapporo, we are not complained to the owner. Their staffs are nice and friendly. One of the staff guided us to the nearest train station and very helpful. We also can borrow the umbrella from the counter since it was snowfall during our stay in Sapporo (and it's Free). Overall it was a nice and safe hostel for women like us.

For being one of the cheapest hostels in Sapporo, this hosel, I'm pretty sure, can keep up with the best. The beds are long, comfortable, private and clean. The bathrooms and lounges are well placed, as well as really pleasant and clean. And most of all, and most importantly, the staff are very courteous, warm and attentive. In addition, everything is within walking distance within 10-15 minutes. I'll be back again, thanks. Tip: When you arrive, just drive to the 3rd floor and do not get confused.

Stayed here twice”

We had the opportunity to visit sapporo 3x and 2 of those we stayed in The Stay sapporo. We fell in love with the place on our first visit although the quality of the place seemed to have declined on our second visit. Nevertheless i will still recommend this place. Things we like about the Stay Sapporo. - near susukino - very convenient especially if you’re visiting for the sapporo snow festival, however would need a bit of walking to tje train station - near odori park - generally clean (based on our second visit) - near convenience stores - malls in between - a shared kitchen and some free stuff (e.g. condiments left by other guests that can be used) - i liked the common room, it has board games/games, - laundry service - has elevator Needs improvement: - i think it was a lot cleaner on a our first visit (2 years apart).

Also a 20 mins ride to mt moiwa, i really recommend it going at night to see sapporo overview from the mountain. Good service; comfortable, spacious, beds, decent bathrooms; fantastic location”

The people here are terribly nice and good humoured. They try their best to be helpful and accommodating, though their attempts may be struggled. Beds are very comfortable and there is a lot room. I managed to have all my things in the space and even set up my computer and game console there easily and neatly. The room is also nicely air-conditioned. If I have an issue with the rooms... well, the ladders are horrible. The location is one of the best in Sapporo, I think. Next to a pleasant park, a Family Mart, and subway stop. All literally within a minute (give or take) from the front door.

Staff is amazing! Super friendly and social. The place is clean and the dorm beds are spacious and private. The beds are firm tho, well mine was anyway. Only annoying thing I can think of about this place is there's only 1 tiny elevator for accessing like 12 floors. Location is prime! Waking distance to everything and everywhere. Modern, new, cosy

The Stay Sapporo is a modern, cosy and new hostel in Susukino. This place is great for big groups who are on a budget. Nice hangout area at the lounge (Level 3 & 10). Clean and comfortable for budget traveling. Only downside was that there is only 1 lift for the whole building. About 15mins walk away from the Susukino Train Station.
