Love the place: The environment is cosy and clean. The staff are all helpful and friendly. The location is quite central, near to shopping, eateries, and public amenities. Overall satisfied with my stay here.
Value for money”
The property was lovely, had two lounges with kitchens and the shower facilities and toilets were within the dormitory, Room was very Clean and nice Staff are really kind and supportive, can speaking English very well
Nice, chic hostel with a relaxed feel”
Pros: Value for money Clean room and facilities Relaxed feel and lounges Cons: No frills (you have to pay for towels) But they do provide soap and shampoo Walls are pretty thin (kinda noisy at night) Its a nice place for budget travellers. Bring your own stuff
Staff is amazing! Super friendly and social. The place is clean and the dorm beds are spacious and private. The beds are firm tho, well mine was anyway. Only annoying thing I can think of about this place is there's only 1 tiny elevator for accessing like 12 floors. Location is prime! Waking distance to everything and everywhere. Would stay again if I'm back in Sapporo
really enjoyed staying here. staffs are really nice and speak other languages fluently, so there was no difficulty to communicate. compare to another hostel I stayed at, this place is way better. would absolutely recommend!
Clean, good facilities and friendly staff”
Pros - facilities were often clean - friendly staff - good value for money - the 711 nearby is very convenient - near Daruma Genghis Khan and other restaurants in Susukino Cons - - a bit far from Susukino station if you're walking especially on a cold, snowy day and you have luggage; - not too easy to find from Susukino station on the first try. Apparently you just need to walk along main road and turn right - the 500 yen breakfast wasn't a lot and had oily sausages - one of the two shower rooms on our floor was out of order so had to go up to 10th to shower. Good thing there were three shower rooms on the 10th floor.
Need to boil water by own. Cannot refill bottle immediately until hot water temperature decreased.
Nice place to stay”
Overall, this hostel was great! It was a bit hard to find at first, but once you get it it's not bad. The location isn't the best because it's away from the subway station, though. It's a bit inconvenient because it's about a 25 minute walk, or a bus ride for 15 minutes. Close to Odori Park, walkable to most places around central Sapporo. There's a pizza place downstairs that was pricey but nice, as I hadn't had pizza in a couple months. You get a discount for staying at Stay Sapporo, but you have to buy a drink as well, so it sort of cancels out the discount. Lounge on 10th floor was large and pretty quiet, so I enjoyed it! Needed 1000 JPY deposit.
New and clean budget hostel.”
stayed 4 nights in room 801. Room can accommodate 4 pax. 2 double decker beds provided. Shared toilets n bath are clean n new. Hotel serves by 1 lift and rooms accesses are Pin controlled. Exit 4 of Susukino station (blue line Namboku). Turn left (see Asahi beer) . Then FIRST Right . See road sign S5 4W. Go straight 100m turn Right again . (Round 1 bildg with a big bowling pin on top of building will be at your rear after you hv turned right. Go straight n check the road signs ( hostel is at S5 8W). walk right to the end..you see two big chinese words (bbq meat) turn right about 50m you see 7Eleven opposite the road and your destination is 4 bldgs next to 7 Eleven. (look out for small hostel signage. Hostel highly recommended if you dont mind the 10 mins walk from the train station , shared bath and thin walls. (offset by reasonable rent) .
A bit noisy ”
On the day I stayed I saw a family with young kid staying as well in a room. Probably they rented a whole room. The kids were making noise. The kitchen is decent
For being one of the cheapest hostels in Sapporo, this hosel, I'm pretty sure, can keep up with the best. The beds are long, comfortable, private and clean. The bathrooms and lounges are well placed, as well as really pleasant and clean. And most of all, and most importantly, the staff are very courteous, warm and attentive. In addition, everything is within walking distance within 10-15 minutes. I'll be back again, thanks. Tip: When you arrive, just drive to the 3rd floor and do not get confused.
nice to stay here!
Helpful staff and cool hotel”
We loved to stay at the hotel top floor with 180 degree city view, or hotel hall have breakfast with guest from countries together. Disadvantage is no heating among aisle and bathroom is outside guest rooms. So that was very cold when we came out from bathroom.
Great place to stay, clean with comfortable accomodation”
I had a great stay here. Nice place to stay if you want to meet people and they have guitar at the common area. And I would like to extend my gratitude to staff Yukari who helped me book a Canal Boat for my friend marriage proposal. It was a memorable events I would not forget
Very suitable for backpacker”
We visited Sapporo on Feb 2017. It is winter time. The coolest month of Hokkaido. Distance: According to Google Maps, walking distance within Susukino Station & The Stay is only 10 mins. By the way, it is quite hard for us who with children & older in a group. After this experience, we decided to rent car instead of using public transport or walking. Room Size: The room is pretty small. We booked Family Room (6 Adults). There is a narrow walkway. It is hard to walk for 2 persons. Space to put in our luggages is limited. Common Area: I like the common area especially lounge at 10F. There is big with cityview. Environment is clean also. Convenience Store: 7-11 is juse 2 lots next to the hostel. Supper is not a problem to us. Laundry service: The dryer size is half of the washing machine. So that 1 time full load clothes washing, have to pay twice for the dryer. My suggestion, there is a laundry next to the 7-11. Dryer & washing machine there are more powerful. Parking Lot: They have own parking basement with lower price which is 500yen/night. But it is strictly for small car height below 1.5m only. We rented MPV, the height is over 1.5m, so that we park at the hourly charge parking lot just aside the hostel. Of course, the parking fee is more higher.
The location is a little bit far from the park. I stayed in a dormitory room. I disliked its design. My bed is in the corner and about 1/4 of it is the wall of the other corner bed. You'll tend to forget stuff in that part of the bed because you can't see it from the outside. You'll need to take a peek again to check your stuff. Another negative point is that you need to rent slippers for 100 yen. In other hostels that I've visited, it's free. Facility - bathroom and toilet is super clean Staff - good English-speaking skills, accommodating
Clean but far”
The travelers are expected to put on their own bed sheet, in other view, it's clean as we know the bed sheet are new and clean. About 10-15mins walking distance from susukino station. there's a 7-eleven at downstairs. Kitchen is Muslim friendly so muslim friends are welcome.
Walking distance to Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street and Odori Park. Be here during summer, you may join their Sapporo Beer Festival for a month! Hotel very cozy and clean just that no warm water provided. You might either boil it or grab it from 7-eleven right below this hostel.
Great Location and staffs able to speak good English”
Located at Susukino and about 300-400m away from the JR stations. Close to Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade. Clean and new facilities; but the room is too small for 5 of us to put the luggage; even we are took the 6 beds room. The rest are just perfect with the amount we paid.
Great staff and clean place !”
The staff were very considerate . I arrived in the morning and very jet lagged , she allowed me to check in and slept in a quiet room, it was very kind of her . The room is clean , the bathroom v clean too . They provide shampoo , conditioner and body wash too. The kitchen has free green tea as well and basically all was good , walking distance to subway 10min.
