fabulous hotel”
so we stayed for a night at the taj mahal hotel post our marriage. starting from the booking till checkout, it was a literal dream. they placed a cake with a congratulatory note in the room and when we went for dinner to varq, where the food was simply fabulous, they got a cake again!!!! congratulating us on our wedding. the floor we stayed on had its own checkout counter and hence all the hassles normally associated with checkout being time consuming and et al was taken care of with just a simple call of "we are checking out"... period ! the service was fantastic though they can do with tiding up the bathroom fixtures where we could see the pop in places. nonetheless highly highly recommended. i stayed at the taj in mumbai but beleive you me, taj mahal hotel sets a higher standard.
As Always Taj is Excellent ”
Excellent Stay and will always come back to Delhi Taj Mahal. It's always a pleasure and enjoyment staying at any of Taj hotels. It's a bit expensive but it's value for money.
Excellent hotel with bit of old charm”
Nice hotel in the middle of lutyens Delhi. Upgraded to a nice suite which was huge n comfortable. Good restaurants in-house, usual efficient taj hospitality. Special mention to Anil And Pradeep. Thanks for making good the room service good ups. Appreciate the comps.
amazing hotel, just dont book a car”
we stayed here for one night after a wedding in southern india, and did a day trip to the taj mahal so felt it appropriate. the staff were excellent. from check in, to room staff, shop staff, and restaurant staff- all couldn't do enough, and all very friendly room was superb with beautiful views food excellent spa useful addition for weary travellers check prices for trips though as they tried to charge $1000 for a car for the day to the taj mahal, which is more than a fortnight's car rental in london ! at least upon checkout we were able to keep the room until 3am the next morning as that was when our flight was and they did not charge us :-)
Best service ever”
amazing stay, the staff helped us book our tickets to goa and for many other things, the hotel is beautiful. if you are there before agra, it is a good way to warm up and be in the taj mahal mood!
Taj Mahal Mansingh Rd Delhi”
This is a really comfortable hotel and a welcome haven after the heat, dust, pollution and noise of Delhi. The staff are very helpful and well trained. Breakfasts are good, buffet style. We did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants. We would stay there again.
Friendly people”
this hotel is better than taj palace in terms of the staff. condition is not as new as taj palace but the service is much better. we were on the club floor and can chill at the lounge. the weather was quite humid. overall stay in taj mahal as good.
All that was expected, and more.”
My wife and I spent a few days in Delhi prior to the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels journey, and it was a wonderful hotel in which to unwind, catch up on jet lag, and prepare for our journey. Great spa and gym, with excellent staff. All restaurants were very nice, even eating lunch poolside was a treat.
GREAT STAY”
Fabulous hote. I will probably stay in this hotel during my next visit in Delhi
My Hotel of the Year”
the check-in was smooth and hassle-free. the welcome drink conveyed not just hospitality but also quality. the executive at the reception was fully aware of our requests which had been conveyed in advance. each member of the hotel staff knew their respective roles and carried it out professionally. we were given a room on the 11th storey which had a view of the swimming pool and much of delhi's diplomatic enclave. the room was comfortable and with the right temperature setting, provided for a good night's rest. the hotel has a clean, deep pool for a good work-out / cooling off. the location is good and there are some historic sites within walking distance or a short ride. khan market is less than 10 minutes by foot. it would have been good if the hotel provided complimentary airport transfer as part of its services. we were not willing to pay rs 3,396/- the hotel offered for the transfer, not when a meter-taxi from the airport could do the job for rs 600/-. we checked-out in the early hours of the morning and that was a quick process as the staff had everything ready for the same.
Enchanting hotel ”
We were very surprised at the level of service provided by the staff. First time being in India, we were worried about security but seeing the guards screening all card at the gate gave us the sense of security. The hotel was located away from the public area so that helped. It's surrounded by a high wall and there is only one entrance and exit. There was also screening of guests before r dry one enters the hotel. It's a really exclusive hotel. The restaurants serve amazing food. We stayed at the club floor and they served wonderful and healthy food eg omelette made from only egg whites. The service was great, everyone was friendly and respectful and was ready with a smile
Delusions of grandeur”
After travelling by car from Jaipur I was very tired when I arrived at the hotel. It was my last night in Delhi so I wanted to treat myself. On check in staff could not find the booking that I'd made with Agoda that day. The reception asked me to send the booking confirmation via email, however I needed wifi to access from my phone. I was then told that I needed to pay for internet access in order to forward the booking confirmation. I then complained and only after this did the woman agree to give free internet access ( bizarre when I was paying over $200 a night to stay there). Upon being taken to my room on lvl 4 the first thing I noticed was a strange disinfectant smell and the air conditioning was so cold that I felt like I was going to freeze. After complaining they sent someone to try and help and he ended up having to bring a bar heater into the room to warm it up. Eventually they changed my room to the 11th floor, but there were actually some damp patches on the carpet. I figured that they must have some issues with their air conditioning throughout the hotel. Otherwise the decor looked a bit dated from 70's. Not what I'd expect from a five star establishment. All other staff were extremely obliging and breakfast in the morning was great. The hotel was ok overall but unfortunately first impressions were not good.
An Outstanding Hotel”
From the moment I arrived the staff performed at the highest level - indeed they were outstanding. The hotel is very well appointed with good restaurants, including an excellent breakfast room on the executive floor. I also enjoyed an early morning swim in the pool. The two day stay was an excellent way to finish a fine two week holiday in India.
An excellent hotel in the heart of delhi”
I stayed in Taj in the past and loved it every time.
Good hotel, attentive service”
my stay at the hotel was a pleasant one. there is a good indian restaurant but food was a little pricey. taxis readily available and i suppose because these taxis are serving a five-star hotel, the drivers were especially attentive and all spoke english. i will definitely stay there again in future.
Great service, lovely hotel, but not 5 star rooms”
this is a great deal. But I'm sure there are nicer and newer 5 star places around. If you like a vintage room feel and great service then this place is perfect. I loved it. Food was decent -- it's next to impossible to find great western food in india in my very limited experience. The gym is nice.
Convenience of this place can't be beaten”
Great place. Conveniently located. Hotel staff literally anticipates your needs. That is not a small thing when travelling with 2 small kids. The room design is getting a bit aged, but is still very comfortable and super clean.
OK hotel ”
Overall I would rate the hotel as average and nothing to write home about. We stayed at the Marriot Hotel on the Dead Sea a couple of years ago and it was nearly $US150 per night cheaper, had a better breakfast buffet, had three swimming pools not one, and there was the Dead Sea to swim in as well. The MArriot room was bigger and teh bathroom was huge compared with the Taj. While the Taj was nice, I don't think it was very good value for money at all.
Excellent location. Decent rooms. Very courteous and smiling staff. ”
Need to improve on the dining facilities. Food is nowhere near Taj standards.
Simply the best”
Nice clean and tidy, good location, friendly courticy staff, easy to check-in and check-out, perfect in environment, facilities are the best. cousines are very delicious, feel everything here are the best. worthy the price.
