The hotel is located near Kyoto Station. Take the lift at exit 5 of the station's underground and turn left after reaching the ground level to find the hotel. Upon entering the hotel lobby, there is a very comfortable feeling with gentle lighting and aroma, and the rooms are the same. The bathroom in the room is also spacious, and free water and tea are provided. Overall, it is a very nice experience.

When you exit JR Kyoto Station and face Kyoto Tower, turn right and you will immediately arrive at the hotel. Due to a delay in our schedule, we arrived at the hotel after 10 pm. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and immediately helped us with our luggage and quickly processed our check-in. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and did not have a heavy accent. The hotel is very new and the lobby is beautiful with a pleasant fragrance. The room was spacious enough for two adults and two children, and the bathroom was not as small as in other Japanese hotels. The bathtub was large enough for me and my child to take a bath together, and there were shower amenities provided in the bathroom. The hotel did not provide disposable items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and cotton swabs, but this is common in Japanese hotels. The bed was very comfortable, and it was convenient to control the air conditioning, lighting, and curtains with an iPad without having to get up. This is especially convenient for people who often walk around in Japan until their feet hurt. The price was affordable, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Had a lovely stay for a few nights with a friend in a twin room. The design of the hotel was really cool and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Staff were great and super helpful. Special thank you to the concierge, Hikaru, who went above and beyond and helped me find my train to the airport when I was running late. It’s very central being next to the station, which was great for day trips. There are probably more vibey areas to stay in but there were a few cafes & restaurants within walking distance. Overall a great experience and especially recommend for those who want comfort and great facilities close to the convenience of being near the Kyoto station.

The Thousand Kyoto is situated right outside Kyoto station (around 2 mins walk right after exiting JR central exit) We were greeted by hotel staff even before we reached hotel door, and were thoroughly surprised with the zen-ness of the hotel decoration and surroundings. The room is great, beds and pillows are comfortable and you can even choose tempur pillow! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay within min from Kyoto station!
