Once I reach, someone walk over to the entrance to serve me and pulled my luggage. The person is friendly and check in fuss free. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is delicious and able to choose Japanese style or American style. People at the hotel is so friendly and willing to do more than expected. It makes my trip a good start.

This hotel deserves a 5-star rating. It’s one of the best hotel in terms of convenience to the train station, and the “walkability” to shopping and dining areas. The room we stayed in was big and comfortable, and the bedding was just wonderful. We will definitely stay here whenever we are traveling to Kyoto.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in”
It’s SO beautiful and luxurious for a low price. I stayed here with my husband and can’t recommend it enough. It was supposed to be a casual stay but it felt like a honeymoon due to the vibe. I suggest bringing your own hairbrush, toothbrush/paste, and razor since they charge ¥200 per item. Otherwise, the onsen spa is ¥3,700 and only allows 4 people at a time (covid regulations) which is pretty worth it! Lots of free illy espresso and authentic Japanese green tea in a traditional tea pot too. The breakfast is ok! Review the menu before going since it’s not ideal if you are a picky eater, but they’ll exchange things for dietary restrictions. I’ll be staying here each time I go to Kyoto. If I can give this hotel a 10 star rating I would without hesitation. Definitely one of the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Love the design of the room which is traditional yet modern. The breakfast was totally worth it and the hotel itself is designed in such a beautiful way it’s a tourist attraction of its own. Will definitely come here again !

The multi lingual staff was helpful from check in, providing service such as takuhaibin/luggage forwarding, through checkout. This facility is easily accessible from Kyoto Station and highly recommended.

I would stay again at this hotel! The location is simply wonderful. It is a minute away from central Kyoto Station which houses a Family Mart, Isetan departmental store, Cube shopping Center and many, many eateries. The hotel is quiet and serene. The concierge is helpful and the front desk staff were simply wonderful! I really enjoyed my stay here.

Located just beside Kyoto station, one will have no complaints about accessibility. Plenty of restaurants and central to all places of interest. Hotel room is perfect with no flaws . Breakfast ( choice of American Or Japanese) will be served presentable to each guest. Food quality is above average. Gym is perfect with sufficient equipment to train cardio or muscles. I normally stick to hotel chains but there’s not much of those in Kyoto so we tried The Thousand because it has high reviews and the photos are not bad. When we got there, we were very pleased that everything is way better than the photos. The staff are helpful, and the room we stayed in is more than comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel!
