Just what I was looking for.”
Had a few days off work & wanted to get out of Bangkok. First time taking my 72 VW outside of BKK, so I wanted to stay close. I knew the weather wasn't expected to be great & the beaches in Bang Saen are nothing special, so I wanted somewhere to relax with decent facilities. The Tide Resort was the perfect place for my trip. Convenient & comfortable with all I needed.
Great hotel in a great location”
As one of the most, if not the most, expensive hotels in Bang Saen, the Tide is great. It's beautiful with great facilities. The swimming pool and fitness center are outstanding. The location couldn't be better - very convenient. For the price, I didn't feel the rooms were really outstanding, but they were okay. Can't fault the staff and cleanliness.
A good all round hotel ”
I stayed at the Tide, 15 years ago after it first opened. 15 years later it’s still going strong ! For a Thai resort in Bang Sean it’s got what you need, is pretty quiet, with a nice pool, with the beach opposite across the road. Perhaps the menu could be more varied and with more options. The gym is actually quite good, although it could do with a proper bench press bench/rack with free weights, as it only has a smith machine for this at present, which I really didn’t like. There is an Olympic bar, so you can do deadlifts, and they have enough plates to go well into 200+ , and you can mount it on the outside of the smith machine to do free squats too !!! The dumbbells go up to 24kg, so average ! You can keep ticking over and is convenient if you are staying at the tide. You must wear trainers, no flip flops ! Would stay again 💪💪💪
Very enjoyable stay”
Bang Saen beach is a haven for Bangkokians especially at the weekend as it is the closest beach to Bangkok and they like to relax by spending the weekend here. Previous reviews have commented on discos being noisy which is not the case as there are no discos in the area. Probably sound systems from cars. We were checked in swiftly by polite staff who spoke excellent English. I speak Thai fluently but chose to speak English with the staff and had no problems. Our room was clean and situated at the front of the hotel. We had no issues with noise despite being so close to the road. Expect alot of traffic on the weekend but not that noisy that we couldnt sleep. The breakfast buffet was good and even better on the weekend as the hotel gets full. Definately try the International buffet on a Saturday for 450 baht per person....It was amazing!!! We had only 1 complaint during our stay, which unfortunately involved me going to the local hospital at 03.00am in the morning. This was down to a meal we had had in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the night staff were unable to help, so my wife who is Thai called the local emergency services "1669" who collected me from the hotel within 5 minutes. The following day, I spoke with the hotel manager who apologised profusely and refunded the cost of our meal and my hospital expenses. Please do not let this put you off as the food at the hotel is great. Previous reviews on the beach have said that hiring chairs are 300 baht per person which is rubbish. 30 baht per person and that includes a table. You are under no obligation to purchase food from any of the sellers once you have paid for your chairs. The beach still gets dirty, but is cleaned regularly and there is a curfew in place which means that everything including sellers have to be removed from the beach by 18.00pm on a daily basis.
Good location, friendly staff”
The Tide is one of the main luxury resorts in Bang Saen. It's almost five-star quality thanks to helpful staff, good facilities and quality rooms. The breakfast is fantastic.
Small but wonderful”
This place is a wonderful place at Bang saen, Chonburi. It's very close to the beach just across a street. i know this hotel for long time, first i thought it should be old hotel but the hotel look really nice and when we got in the room it look very comfortable i was tired for long distance from sydney to here but it doesn't make me upset. it made me feel good when arrived.
comfortable stay for a business trip”
i have to attend a seminar at a university nearby. the Tide Resort make it a semi-vacation. the hotel is at prime location along the Bangsaen beach. the room itself is spatious with big bathroom and a bathtub. (i got a delux) it was weekdays and two big groups held seminars at the hotel. i even met my professor and an ex-colleages who were on business trip to a district nearby. it's where professionals stay when going to Bangsaen or Sri Racha. Everything you need in the hotel, plus a 7/11 store at the front gate and hundred of local seafood vendors just across the road.
Good Old Days”
I just stay over for one night, as I was on business. So far, room and services were excellent. Breakfast was very good with wide varities of food. Over all, I like the hotel much and will come back if I visit Bang Saen Beach again.
Good located hotel for relaxing”
We always satisfied to stay at The Tide Resort because it's not too far from the beach, good saturday international buffet dinning, and not far from Bangkok. The price is reasonable when compared with room and its service. If you wanna relax with short drive from Bangkok, you may consider this hotel as one of your choice.
Good location helpful staff nice buffet”
This hotel is a safe bet in that you are not likely to encounter any significant issues. The only negatives are that the staff do not communicate particularly well in English and are not piarticularly well trained. There are many positives, such as location, buffet breakfast, lovely swimming pool, size of rooms, general atmosphere and such easy accessibility to the beach. For these reasons, we have returned to this hotel several times and will continue to do so when visiting Bang Saen.
Tide Resort is excellent”
The Tide resort is a very relaxing place to stay. It's location across the street from the beach is wonderful--very comforting. All aspects of my stay there were great: food, staff, room (very quiet). The pool is warm and large and the fitness room has lots of equipment. I enjoyed my stay there. And it's quite reasonable.
Dasappointing and not happy.”
I have stayed at the Tide Resort before and was not completely pleased with my stay saying, at the time, (to myself) "not again". However, due to late notice, I was required to stay in the region for an additional night. Nothing else was available and I resorted to accept accommodation at the Tide Resort - I wonder why it (Tide Resort) still had rooms available!!! For one night most things could be probably tolerated and whilst the shower facilities were antiquated (and potentially dangerous) by having to step over into a 'bath' tub. The shower head was rusting and un-adjustable but at least I had a shower or sorts. What really turned me off the Tide Resort for the future was the the breakfast meal - it was diabolical - at 8.30am in the morning a paying guest would expect better - the prepared food was COLD, TASTELESS AND totally UN-INVITING and what I actually got down 'repeated' on me for the rest of the day!!!. Should I actually get caught "short" again in the same location I would rather sleep the night in the car and breakfast, in the morning, at McDonads!!
better than i expect”
We have visit Tide Resort many times before, but this was the first time we live there.Room was big enought to both of us.Our bathroom was nice.We had a nice view from our balcony.Breakfast was good.We eat buffe on saturday night and it contained something for everybody.
Pauls review of tide resort bangsaen”
My stay at the tide resort hotel was very good for location with 7/11 next door and the beach across the road, has a very big swimming pool for adults and a good size pool for kids, only had breakfast there but very nice, nobody speaks English so lucky I was with my gf and her kids, staff friendly and helpful, only negative is the room we stayed could do with a refurb, I'd stay again just for the pool with young kids, but don't recommend for solo traveler as expensive and not near any bars but there only a ten min walk away.
Short stay at Tide Resort”
Stayed at The Tide Resort a few days in December. Good location straight opposite the beach, good undercover parking and security. Rooms good size and clean, would stay here again if we return to Bangsaen.
Great stay! ”
Had a great staying at the Tide Resort with my family! The staff was very accommodating and the location was great! We all enjoyed the pool, the fitness room, and breakfast! Great stay overall!
Good Location for the beach!”
It was good...the hotel has a nice environment and can walk to the beach. It is a center of Bang Saen Beach and close to local restaurant.
Great price in the heart of Bangsaen”
The Tide has been around for 10 years and is one of the top hotels in Bangsaen. It sits right across from the beach, but many guests seem to laze by the giant pool or make use of the on-site spa rather than venture out. Rooms are starting to show their age but are still clean and spacious. Staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast is awesome.
Nice Hotel, but could be much better!”
The Tide Resort was obviously a 4-star hotel in the past, but it has become a little tired over the years and could do with some updating. The room was spacious and well equipped, but it had a damp smell which could be due to the old fashioned air conditioning. The restaurant served nice food, but was a little expensive compared to restaurants in the area. I believe this hotel could be worthy of 4 stars again if some time and money was spent updating some of the areas, especially the bedrooms!
Welcome to Bangsaen”
We enjoyed a week long stay at this resort which is situated right in the middle of the beach area. You can walk to the main shopping area or take a tuk tuk, or even better stroll along the three miles of beach promenade. The deluxe room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities, the resort is over ten years old and the room could be modernised with a few extra power points and some extra storage space for clothes. This resort was excellent value for money and I would recommend it.
