I have the highest praise for the attentive, professional and warm staff. The hotel location is as best as you can get. ”
Whenever I stay at a hotel, it is always the staff that makes a difference. The counter staff, concierge and bellboy remembered me when I returned from my outing. I like their personalized greeting. The general manager's personal note and little gifts like Bvlgari chocolates and traditional Japanese red bean cakes inside the room also made a huge difference. Among these, I wish to personally commend the male middle age concierge (who I unfortunately forgot to take his name). He was very professional while providing me advice for my trip, and always took care of little details to ensure my trip is perfect. The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful Tokyo Station which is a tourist attraction by itself. As it is located in the Tokyo Station, you can easily travel to places like Shinjuku or Shibuya, or out of Tokyo (this is a huge plus point since I needed to travel to Yokohama, Kyoto and so on). It is also located near the Imperial Palace which is also a major attraction. The hotel has a lot of famous restaurants located within, and the toiletries are the branded Gilbert and Soames. I will definitely come back for my next stay and I will strongly recommend this best Tokyo hotel to everyone. Last but not least, the general manager sent us off personally during my last day. I was so touched.

Superb service, convenient location and brand new!”
The hotel is ideally located right outside Tokyo Station, which means there is no need to change trains after taking the train from Narita airport into Central Tokyo. This makes things very handy, not just for international comings and going, but also for domestic train journeys as Tokyo station is a main hub. As for the hotel, rooms are brand new and, while not huge, the height of the ceilings make the room feel very spacious. For us, one particularly memorable plus was the concierge desk. As well as being completely fluent in English (not a given), one gentleman on the desk was kind enough upon seeing me walk into the hotel to hand me a print out of a map showing me the directions of how to get to a restaurant I had asked him to book earlier that morning. I've never had this kind of thoughtful service, even at some of the most famous hotels who are supposedly known for their service. That aside, the hotel is also convenient if on business as it's in the business district and also next to Ginza if you want some high end shopping. If you want hip and happening (like my last visit), try Shinjuku. If you want something more refined, try here.
Best of the Best”
This was an excellent hotel which is located in the heart of Tokyo. My family and I were very impressed with the overall quality, location and staff at this hotel. The rooms were large, luxurious with beautiful views of the square. We used the Japan Rail system while traveling in Japan, so when we arrived at Tokyo Station we were only a one minute walk from our room. I also recommend buying the buffet breakfast which was located in a large, dramatic and beautiful glass atrium. There was a good selection of Japanese and Western breakfast options. Our trip started in Tokyo and ended in Koyasan (highly recommend), unfortunately, we had to just our trip which meant we had to go back to Tokyo before heading home. There were no discussions on where to stay in Tokyo again, everyone simply said; "Call the Tokyo Station Hotel".
Excellent hotel!”
This is our second stay at this hotel and both times we left very happy. The service, room and amenities were excellent. They go so far as to even provide porter service from/to platform at Tokyo Station. On the day we checked out, we left our bags with reception in the morning and went for a day trip to Kawagoe. When we got back to Tokyo Station, the hotel porter was waiting at the train platform with our bags so that we would not miss our train to Osaka as we might not have enough time to run up to the hotel to retrieve them. That was some service! When checking in, front desk noticed that my birthday was just past so they arranged for a photograph to be taken. This was given to me when checking out. The other thing worth mentioning is the cleanliness of the room. It never fails to impress us each stay. While it is quite expensive to stay at this hotel, if you want location, luxury and excellent service, this is the hotel to stay in. They really make you feel like a valued guest.
Exceptional”
We stayed at Imperial hotel in Tokyo every year but service is getting worth & room is ok for the price. First time I have tried Tokyo station hotel for 5days. Still lots of constructions in Marunouchi side of Tokyo station & not so easy to find the hotel from stations side. The hotel is simple but good quality of construction - better than Imperial hotel - and very clean. Very helpful staff. Very comfortable to stay. Best locations! I am going to stay again & recommend to our friends.
Magical Hotel in Tokyo”
We enjoyed our stay here at Tokyo Station Hotel. The beds were so comfortable, the room was stylishly appointed, all the little touches much appreciated (toiletries, bath robes, slippers, heated toilet seat!). The customer service was superb. The staff helped us navigate the train stations and made sure we were comfortable. We were afraid that since the hotel was at the train station it might get loud but our room was super quiet. This location is perfect bc it's centrally located and you can access the trains & subways without having to walk outside or far. We loved the breakfast buffet in the beautiful atrium too! The next time I return to Tokyo, I would definitely stay here again!
Location, location, location!”
It's hard to beat the location of this hotel as it's right in Tokyo Station. Walls are great as you can't hear any of the station noise. You can get to anywhere in Japan from Tokyo Station. With a JR pass it allows you to come and go as you please. The showers are the fancy in the ceiling rain falling over you type which is quite an experience in itself. One really cool thing if you stay there the entire trip is you don't have to get a local sim as the hotel provides a cell phone with calling, text, and data!! It includes many apps such as maps. It also has a Japanese lesson section that teaches the most useful stuff for your trip.
You have got to experience it for yourself!”
Sitting right on top of one of the busiest train station and situated right in the city centre, it was absolutely impressive how The Tokyo Station Hotel managed to offer such a high level of privacy, quietness and overall comfort to the hotel guests. We are a family travelling with 4 young children. Each and everyone had a tremendously pleasant and restful stay at the hotel. The beds, bath, housekeeping were of high quality. Concierge staff was always helpful in giving directions, they spoke good English. Shopping and restaurants just a few steps away. Highly recommended.
marvellous experience that will never be forgotten ”
Lucky find on Agoda to have 3 nights in Tokyo in such a special hotel walking distance to Ginza , french cafes nearby , small late night Japanese eateries near bus depot an experience not to be missed Hotel itself was exceptional , architecture was old English grandeur ,room size enormous by Japanese standards varied breakfast a visual and taste delight, friendly helpful staff at every station loved the cute female bell hops in uniform ! concierge patient and so forthcoming with helpful advise . hotel facilities included the cosy bar serving the most delicious spiced gin and tonics and bar food tea coffee room ,had live entertainment, a gentle harp . a quiet haven on top of such a busy railway station , could not have been better
One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in !!!”
The hotel building is the most beautiful in Tokyo !!! It is attached to the Tokyo station, so very good location. Rooms are very luxurious and service is the best you can get. Unfortunately, unlike most 5 stars hotels, seems like nothing to do and nowhere to eat or drink after 21:30 After this hour, it become a ghost-town. Breakfast is very good, but overcharged at $40 a head. Well, if money is not an issue, then it is a perfect place to stay. Overall a great hotel, buy it is overpriced, for the nearly $600 a night we have paid...
Very satisfactory stay!”
Great location right in the Tokyo Station and a beautiful historic building. We had a palace side room so great view of the square outside and the palace. Excellent services from all staffs. They're very friendly and attentive. There was a special event outside on the square, and the hotel left a card explaining to us what the tradition was and the schedule of the event. This was really thoughtful to travelers who would like to experience more of the local culture. Great deco of the room and very clean. This was our second time visiting this hotel and we would definitely come back again.
Great location and a grand dame from former times that is still shining”
We stayed only one night and arrived late in the evening due to plane delays😞. The staff were very attentive and very polite. The room was small but adequate. The furnishings were lovely. The bathroom was great. The whole building is wonderful with its heritage character. The most important thing was that it was so close to the station or it is the station! So on our first trip to Tokyo and a late arrival it was perfect and as we caught a Shinkansen the next morning it was so easy. In fact we had valet service to our platform. We did not try restaurants at the hotel but we did go to the camellia bar. The service was very good. I recommend this hotel it is a luxury hotel with charm and great service and great convenience.
Wonderful service”
The staff at this hotel are the best I’ve encountered, in all aspects. When I asked for a map of Tokyo station because I needed to find the Shinkansen gates not only did I receive the map but I was also offered an escort through the station. The young man carried my luggage, showed me where to buy the best bento box lunch (it was excellent, thanks), and took me onto the correct platform. I wasn’t expecting this and it was much appreciated. And the breakfast In the Atrium is also one of the best, great range and presentation, a delicious start to the day in a lovely room.
Convenience without compromise. ”
I chose the hotel as I needed one night arriving in Tokyo before taking the Shinkansen north to go snowboarding. Super convenient taking the Narita Express to Tokyo station. I emailed the hotel staff my ticket and they met me as I stepped off the train car to walk me to the hotel. It wouldn't have been difficult to figure out but having them handle my bags was a nice luxury. Room was lovely though small. Used the spa and it was quite nice. Highly recommended.
Excellent”
I've stayed at this hotel a few times in recent years, mostly on the way back from Hakuba with a ton of ski equipment and luggage in tow and therefore choose The Tokyo Station Hotel largely for convenience to the train station. The other big draw for me is the staff. With over 150 rooms and at least as many guests in residence at any one time, the staff all identify me by name and simply cannot do enough for you. Their attention to detail and focus on your comfort is almost unparalleled. I will of course, be back.
Location, location, location”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tokyo Station Hotel and wished we could've stayed longer. It was perfect as a base for our last night/day in the city and acted as convenient venue and launch pad for the Narita Express since the ticket booth was right outside the exit. Breakfast at The Atrium was good, but pricey. Atmosphere is elegant and service was on par with a hotel of this class. Loved the chef thanking us upon departure and offering us an anpan for the road.
Great hotel in an excellent location”
My family and I were very happy with our stay at Tokyo Station Hotel. We love the fact that they have meet and greet service at our Shinkansen platform so we won't get lost navigating the busy Tokyo station. Location is also very central, and easy to travel anywhere. Another plus point is the friendly staffs and concierge who helped us make taxi arrangements and other requests.
A conveniently located special hotel”
Although it was just a brief stay of one night, the hotel is very nice and conveniently located above the Tokyo Station, which has easy access to the JR and metro lines. If arriving from Narita Airport, it would be quicker to tfravel via the Narita Express, reaching Tokyo Station before the Shinjuku Station. Since it is rebuilt and renovated from the old Tokyo Station, it is not high rise, thus the rooms spread over a very long corridor, be prepared to walk a long distance to your room. But the overall decor is very western, colonial and special. We didn't get a chance to try out the breakfast, but the afternoon tea surely looked very nice. Nightlife is not as robust as Shinjuku though, but the neighbourhood of Maranouchi is very peaceful (near the Palace) with some new shopping centres.
Location Location Location”
Great location right on top of Tokyo Train and Metro Stations, with easy access to the Narita Express platform. Usually we stay in Shangri-La Tokyo which is equally well situated, but decided to give Tokyo Station Hotel a go this time round. No regrets. The staff is much more hospitable and friendlier than Shangri-La. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip.
