A tranquil oasis in the heart of London”
when i booked to stay at the tower, i was convinced it was going to be a bit past it's best as the price for my stay was so reasonable. i grew up not far from this hotel and remember it being built which was a long time ago. often these type of hotels have passed through several owners and each time they lose a bit of their splendour. that was not the case though with the tower. from the exterior, it is not an attractive building, a big concrete monolith but don't be put off by that. liveried staff are in attendance everywhere and as you appoach the entrance to the hotel, there is a pleasant jasmine smell which i assumed was being pumped into the air. the room was everything you'd expect from a quality hotel with all usual facilities and a fabulous view over the river and tower bridge. it is also very peaceful there as the nearest main road is the bridge itself. for the money i paid for my stay, i wouldn't have been able to stay in a travelodge/days inn, type establishment for less and this hotel was far superior. i can't wait for my next stay there. the hotel is ideally placed for a quick walk to the tower, shopping areas like brick lane and middlesex street, the nightlife in hoxton or maybe just a peaceful stroll along the river. the transport facilities are excellent with tube stations, buses, taxi's and even a river bus service to take you to westminster or the opposite direction to greenwich. highly recommended...
Very good first impressions, friendly staff.”
The location of the hotel was spot on for the sites we wanted to visit. Easy walking distance from underground, overground and DLR stations. All staff were helpful, friendly and accomodating. No request was too much trouble. The Brassserie restaurant is well worth a visit with a good range of dishes and a very good service. The rooms were clean and well furnished, the beds comfortable. A number of sites are within easy walking distance such as Tower bridge, St Katharines Dock, The Tower of London and the London Dungeons for example. The Tower Hotel makes a perfect base for sightseeing. I would definitely stay again and have no problem in recommending the hotel to future visitors.
Great stay in a great location ”
We always choose to stay at the Tower hotel when coming to London. It’s location is great to visit St Katharine’s Dock, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Southbank, Butlers Wharf and Borough market. I’ve recommended to friends many times who now won’t stay anywhere else. My only criticism this visit was vet slow service in the Vicinity bar and then only receiving half our order. Some customers we noticed left as they were waiting too long to be acknowledged and served. Also the prices of drinks in the XI bar are a bit steep, we were charged £15 for a Baileys!! Other than that, the service in the hotel itself was good.
Friends Wedding”
Great Location Excellent view of St Catherines Dock. Sadly Breakfast was expensive & Cold £12.00 each. Although the food served for the wedding was lovely and Hot. Drinks at the bar are what I would expect for the Location. City Prices. Check out time was 12 noon but by 11.15 they were knocking on our door for access to clean. Two different housekeepers knocked even though the do not distrube sign was switched on. Lots of nice views Tower Of London from various parts of the hotel. Just a short walk to the Tower of London & Tower Bridge. Would Stay Again.
Dear Julianne, Thank you for staying with us at The Tower Hotel and for your time to write a detailed review. I do apologise that the breakfast did not meet your expectations, but I am glad to read that you enjoyed the food of the wedding. I will pass both comments to our chefs. Please be assured that I will do an investigation with the Housekeeping manager regarding your feedback, since it is strictly forbidden to enter or to knock at a room, if the "Do not disturb" sign is on. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Bechir Messaoud Hotel Manager
Excellent location”
The hotel location is just beside the Tower Bridge and Castle with beautiful view and direct access also to St Katharina dock. And pretty near from Tower Hill tube station. What a perfect location. I got given a room facing to the river and it was fantastic view. The hotel is pretty old building and the facilities are also a bit old fashion. But cleanliness is good. The staffs are also friendly and helpful. There is luggage storage room for temporary store the luggages and very easy also to get taxi. There is Tesco supermarket near hotel, open till midnight. I would love to come back again to this hotel on my next trip to London. Value for money!!
Great hotel, friendly staff, incredible view, WiFi”
We were both really pleased by this hotel, and will definitely stay here again next time we're in London. Great location right by Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, easy access to Tower Hill / Monument tube station, very comfortable rooms, on-site parking, free WiFi (always great to have in a hotel), and very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Really happy with our choice!
Great location”
I said for two nights on my own while travelling around the UK. This is a brilliant location, right by Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The outside bar/restaurant seating was fabulous for people watching. It’s a vibrant location. The room I had was a standard double which was quite small, which wasn’t really an issue for me since I was on my own. Everything was nice and clean and there was some painting etc going on. The staff were friendly and efficient. I did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the quality of the food. I would definitely stay there again
Brilliant location and very helpful staff”
I stayed at this hotel on a weekend away. The rooms were fantastic, the staff were very helpful - in particluar the concierge who looked after our bags as we arrived before check in time. The hotel is situated on the Northbank of the Thames right next to the Tower of London so would be great for sight seeing. Tower Hill tube station is 2 mins walk away, and there is a great marina with bars and restaurants behind the hotel.
Stunning view”
Loved this hotel for it's view, absolutely stunning view from our room of the Thames and Tower Bridge. A minute away from the Tower of London plus in St Katharines docks which boasts restaurants, pubs and great walks. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms comfy and modern. The bar area boasts a fantastic view of the lit up bridge after dark. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't dine in. Definitely worth a visit.
Excellent situation to enjoy London”
Everything about this hotel makes it perfect for a short break in London. Situated next to the Tower and the south bank there is lots going on! More London has added lots of restaurants/shops/ entertainment. The staff at this hotel have been so friendly and welcoming all the times I have stayed here. The rooms are clean and the view of the river so interesting. I know the breakfast is great from previous stays. I was disappointed it wasn't included this time.
Tower Hotel”
Have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions when staying in London, have occasionally stayed at one or two others but have always come back to the Tower. The staff are helpful and courteous. When we have checked in we request if possible a view of the bridge and the receptionists' have always tried to oblige and 9 times out of 10 have. The one occasion they couldn't they gave us an equally fantastic view of St Katherine's Dock. The most recent visit was to celebrate my partner's birthday and on explaining this on checking in, we were given an upgrade and a bottle of wine was placed in the room. My only one complaint, if you can call it a complaint is that at the buffet breakfast it can be a little slow in obtaining your tea or coffee from the waiters.
3 great nights right next to Tower Bridge”
Upgraded our reservation at check-in - staff was courteous, professional and helpful - to executive level and bridge view. Bridge view was stunning, and the value of the upgrade was absolutely beyond expectations. I definitely recommend this property; it’s very convenient to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, St. Katharine’s Dock, and other hotspots. Tower Hill tube station is only a short walk away too.
Dear Adrian, Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing our hotel. I'm happy that you enjoyed your stay and I'm looking forward to having you again as a guest in our hotel. Kind regards, Bechir Messaoud Hotel Manager
FANTASTIC!!!!!”
We would totally recommend The Tower Hotel. From the lovely warm reception from Jose at the Check Inn desk to the room service staff and not forgetting the dining staff who could not do enough for our daughter when we arrived late for breakfast and she was hungry. Very much appreciated, thank you! We were totally impressed from the very first moment...friendly helpful doorman, lovely foyer and it smelled beautiful! Rooms were spacious and very comfortable and we were blown away with the VIEW. We arrived after dark and saw Tower Bridge and surrounding places of interest in all it's glory. It was magnificent! We will definitely stay again!
fantastic view, nice room”
this was my 2nd visit and will be back again. the hotel is right by tower bridge and st katherine's dock and quay. just a short walk away is the tower of london and all its history. I could have just stayed happily in my room with its comfy bed and magnificent view of tower bridge which we were lucky enough to see open.
Great Stay”
My girlfriend and I were guests in the Tower Hotel for 6 nights over New Year. The hotel itself is right next to the Tower Bridge and in walking distance to the tube station "Tower Hill". Its a huge hotel (800 rooms) and we were queuing ~20 min for CheckIn because of a Cheerleader group for LNYDP. Very nice and efficient staff member who upgraded us to an executive room. Clean room, good bed, more than enough power sockets and the auxiliary services were tremendous.
Dear Florian, Thank you so much for your time to write a lovely review of your stay with us at The Tower Hotel. It means a great deal to me that you enjoyed your stay with us and I am glad to read that you enjoyed your upgrade as well! We hope to welcome you back again. The Tower location and staff are awesome-they made my London vacation awsome”
Girl trip to London. The Tower location and staff were awesome. The 2 David's helped us everyday map out our travel plan. The 5th floor club room staff were also very helpful. From check in to the morning our limo picked us up we were treated great. The room was nice and clean always. I have already recommended The Tower and I will stay there again. Thanks Donna Kelley and Denese Tibbetts RM 530.
Location”
Hotel is located a few steps from Tower bridge and Tower of London. Metro station is 5 min walk, ferry is even less than 5min. Behind the hotel is nice marina with 5-6 restaurants. Room is OK and clean. In the peak time you may facing with "traffic jam" on lifts, thus ask for room on first floor :-)
Great location for sight-seeing”
It is, literally, at the foot of the Tower Bridge, and so, easy access to the many attractions of downtown, as well as public transport access to Underground. The rooms are large and comfortable, but be warned that it is very popular. As it is a custom-built hotel, there are many amenities and has proper central climate control. Road access can be confusing as there is just beyond a turn-off at the Tower Bridge, and has a barrier. If using public hire rides, you must wait for the driver at the Tower Bridge junction, or risk missing your ride.
Dear Seh, Thank you so much for your good feedback. I am very glad to hear, that you enjoyed your stay with the Tower Hotel. Kind regards, Bechir Messaoud
