The Travel Hub - Very Very Homely ”

Neat and Cozy Rooms
Location, which many taxi drivers did not know. Say it is behind China town opposite Gurudwara police station.

nestled in the corner of jalan puddong behind chinatown it is indeed a home away from home. it is called the travel hub guesthouse. i was in it for five days with my family and felt as if i was in my home . the staff is very courteous and made our stay very comfortable. the rooms are neat compact and definitely serve the purpose for which they were made. breakfast was good. everytime i visit kl i will always stay in the travel hub guesthouse. the staff was very very helpful. absolutely no complaints about the travel hub guesthouse whatsoever. i undoubtedly recommend to those who are looking for a good and decent accomodation at a reasonable price in kuala lumpur.

Great Location, Good Staff, Quiet”

the rooftop, the location, the rooftop bar

I stayed there for 5 days in a private room. I was supposed to have a one bed room with a desk (as advertised on the pictures) but it ended up with a twin bed room. It doesn't matter for me but better make it clear with them if you do not want that to happen to you. Otherwise, the rooftop is great, pretty huge and great place to meet people. In addition, one guy just built a bar there and it's open everyday from 6pm to "it depends how many persons stay late". The staff is competent and ready to help you anytime. The facilities are correct. The location is cool because it's a bit remoted compare to other guesthouses, and you are right away in Chinatown, not even 5 minutes walk from Pasar Seni Station, and you have the Central Market very close by as well. The price was correct compare to other guesthouses. I'll probaby go back there next time I will go to Kuala Lumpur.

The best! ”

I’ll rate 11/10 if they allow me. First off, let’s start with the location. It is strategically located in the heart of chinatown, where food is abundant, just a stone throw away from petaling street and a short walk to the mrt/ lrt station. Plus you get to ride the free GoKL bus! Next, the facilities of the hostel. The hostel is equipped with A/C that turn on all day long that make your butt freeze like you’re in the Arctic but that’s okay because you’ll have that refreshing feeling when you return from a 36’c weather. When they say ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day’, they weren’t kidding. Bread with various spread and healthy oats are provided-FREE! Staff of the hostel? Friendly, helpful, nice and make you feel welcome as you step into the main entrance! What more can I say? Not forgetting the hidden gem above the hostel. A quintessential drinking spot, Attic Bar to enjoy a night-view of Kuala Lumpur while sipping on the cocktail, served by the gorgeously-clad bartenders. I had only wanted to stay for a night or two but I extended my stay up to 3 weeks because this hostel just screams comfort (not a 4 star hotel sort) where travellers come together to connect and explore the beauty of Malaysia. Travelhub is not just a hostel, it is a place that brings people together.

Guesthouse with family flair”

Location and helpfull staff

The location of The Travel Hub Guesthouse is excellent for travellers. It is situated in the city center close to Pentaling road, the entrance to China Town and near Central Market. Supermarket and Subway station is also close. The rooms are very clean, but basic. There is also a comfortable communal area with TV. Wifi is available for free and the use of the fast computer is great. The nice and lovely staff is very helpfull and try to do the best for their guests. A small breakfast is also included for free. The price is very reasonable.

Good Hotel, Worth with the price, Clean”

Clean, Wi-Fi and AC is good

Im sdo happy staying on this hotel. Very clean. We got room om 3 levels but there is a lift bringing up from 1 level. AC is very good, cool. Price is also cheap and worth with the facilities. Unfortunately it's a difficult to find the location because actually this guaesthouse is not in Chinatown. It's nearer from Pasar Seni LRT Station. We spent 2 hours on chinatown because the address in agoda web mentioned that this hotel in chinatown. When we asked the peoples in chinatown, no one knows where is jalan panggong or balai polis. It's better to mention that this guesthouse near from Pasar Seni. The phone number in agoda website also wrong. When we try to call, no one picked up. When we arrived in the hotel, there is another phone number attached on the door. I think Agoda should be update the database. Wi-Fi also available on the room. Strenght signal. I really like this facilities. Unfortunately, one of the toilet in 3 levels can not be flushed on our last day in this guesthouse.

The Travel Hub - A hub indeed”

Quiet, peaceful and tranquil even though in middle of a roaring business district-Chinatown
A little too interior location and taxi drivers do not know its location. Tell them adjacent lane to McDonalds in Chinatown.

If there is a home away from home in KL for a foriegner it is The Travel Hub Guesthouse. I was in it for five days with my family and felt as if I was in my home . The family who run this guesthouse were so helpful that I seemed to know them for so many years when actually they were strangers. They went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. I very strongly recommend this guesthouse to all my friends and relatives and colleagues who visit KL. The feeling was as if we were staying with some family friends.

Good Value Budget Hotel”

Friendliness of Staffs

Travel Hub is a wonderful guest house near Chinatown in KL. I stayed in this place for one night only in May 2011. The most interesting feature of this place is the family environment and unforgettable friendliness of the staffs. Everybody in this place including the guests live here like a family and you will be able to pass a lively evening. The guesthouse is very secured with automatic combination door lock, near to cheap eating places, within walking distance of Pasar Sani LRT station. However, this place is very suitable for couples and solo travelers. I do not think it is a good place to stay with the children because of small rooms and sharing toilets.

Five Star”

The staff
In one of the rooms, the madrass was like a crater. Not the best of choice if you like to sleep in more than one position during the night:-)

If on a tight budget and or you, like me, want to try something different (usually I stay in 5 star hotels), The Travel Hub Guesthouse located in Chinatown Kuala Lumpur is definately an excellent choice. It's a 1 Star hotel, but with a 5 star staff and it comes with WI-fi. So if you simply need a place to sleep, have an iPhone and can bare to split the restroom and shower. I can definately recommend this hotel. With Love /Anders

Great facilities for budget travellers”

Lovely staff, lounge area, use of iMac, central location

A great place for budget travellers to stay whilst in transit in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, even directing us to a lovely teashop when we passed them in the street! There was a sociable lounge area (good for solo travellers), use of an iMac, which was available all the times we needed to use, and a pleasant building. The rooms are extremely basic, so bring home comforts/a silk liner. We were disappointed with the lack of window in the room, but it was a very convenient place to stay for one or two nights. There are sky trains very nearby to get into central KL very easily.

A great place for its money”

The only con at this place was a huge cockroach in my room jumping in the night, everything else is a positive thing. The location is perfect: a metro station and a bus hub where the free of charge purple bus is running. There are many places to eat in Little India and Chinatown, plus the market is across the street, and lots of sights are one or two subway stations far from the hostel. Breakfast at this hostel is something else. Maybe I was exploiting this feature but they offer unlimited toasts and coffee, what you don't see often. The room was relatively big and tidy, we slept with windows opened, without the A/C in the night, and the temperature was comfortable (it was in February). The staff was friendly and helpful, they changed the room cuz I was after an accident and couldn't climb the stairs. They gave me the first room right in front of the lift. Definitely recommend if you come to KL :)

Travel Hub Guest House, Kuala Lumpur”

Great location; warmth of the hosts; homely, friendly ambience.
"Rooms" are not really rooms. They are extremely narrow and small cubicles

A smiling and pleasant worker greeted me on arrival. She was courteous and helped me to take my luggage to my room. I was shown the pantry and was asked to help myself with a cup of coffee. All these made me feel quite at home though my miniscule room was somewhat of a dampener. I felt that even for a budget accommodation like this, the room was too small. The premises were quite clean though the toilet was not completely dry. There were some leaking taps, faucets etc; which can easily be fixed. The self service pantry was well stocked with coffee, milk powder, sugar, noodles, eggs etc. and the crockery and cutlery were quite clean. The Indonesian guy who is running this guesthouse is a very pleasant and helpful person. He invited me to use the free email services and his whole approach was one of kindness and help and I was really impressed. I had to leave at 4.30 am to catch my flight. He volunteered to wake me up in the morning which he did quite promptly. He had all the areas well lighted including pantry for my use at that early morning hour. When I visit Kuala Lumpur next, I would certainly like to stay in this friendly, homely place.

Well located (close major transp hub), good vibes, easy to meet people, very good internet (works even in the room which is rare in SEA), price to quality ratio very high - you can go as low as 14-18 RM (brekkie included-sick) if you book through agoda for a 18 bed mixed room. Great bar with a nice view over Chinatown. You can even see a glimpse of Petronas Towers! One of the best places to stay in KL hands down!

Clean and comfortable guesthouse.”

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, good location.

Everything is good. Bed, bathroom, location, kitchen, wifi. But it's a little bit pity that no free drink water. They just supply hot drink water, you have to pay for cool drink water. And at the deep night, the truck sound outside the guesthouse is noisy. Anyway, this is a very good guesthouse. If I travel Kuala Lumpur, I would like to choose here again.

Feel Homely”

Everything over here is very friendly and flexible. Things are really very nice and smooth. Room are clean and good. Facilities are also good. The hotel is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The owners of hotels are also very nice. I wish to stay again in the hotel. Over all the room rent is very cheap.
I dont find any major problem which should be quoted here.

I found my stay at Travel Hub Guest house very comfortable over here. I stayed here for 3 days and I also dtayed in Penang in a 4-star hotel, I find Travel hub guest house more comfortable and good than a 4 star hotel. It meets all my needs as its per day room charge is in every body budget. I felt very homely in staying at this place. I love to visit again and will stay here only.

No frills, plenty of charm and great service”

Excellent customer service, welcoming friendly staff, mutual respect, clean and simple accomodation, near to China Town

My trip to KL was only 2 days and I chose this guest house based on the strong reviews and it does live up to great service. Lilly (as well as the family), the proprietor was most welcoming, knowledgeable and really helpful when it came to giving impartial information, local tips, where to go for the best bargains and helping arrange bus tours and airport transfer. I felt it was place with integrity and caters very well for the solo traveler; clean rooms, free internet and wi-fi, clean shared wash facilities, nice communal area. Immediately you sense how much people like it here - loads of nice letters from previous guests are on the wall, and there is a recent award the guest house won for customer service. You'll be well looked after here. The room I stayed in was adequate for sleeping and there is so much to see in KL, you won't be staying much in your room! Perfect location too - you are seconds from China Town shopping area but situated away from the noise and 3 mins walk from Pesar Seni station (one stop off of KL Sentral - ticket price RM1.00). I'll be coming here again! Thank you Lilly and Cukoo for a great stay.

Great place to call home while in KL”

Owners, other friendly guests, Saturday BBQ

This place has a great vibe. The other guests were really friendly, and it was easy to meet new people in the common area and at the rooftop bar. The free BBQ on Saturday is an amazing bonus, and it's easy to see that the couple who own the hostel really genuinely care and are invested in making the Travel Hub a great place to stay. Location was brilliant, bed was super comfy, and after a couple of days we didn't even really notice the mosques in the morning any more. ;) Constructive comments: The two bathrooms on the top floor are not enough for the room capacity. One suggestion would be to put a wash basin in the hallway for people to brush their teeth. The bathrooms could also use a bit more TLC. An outdoor area for smoking/drinking beer besides the rooftop bar would be nice! Sometimes we just wanted to chill with our own drinks during the daytime or in the evening, but it seemed like the bar was off-limits. All in all a great stay, will recommend to friends!

Great Place Great People”

Clean, cosy, homey, Hospitality, location

This guesthouse located in the heart of China Town, only 5 minutes walk to the super crowded Petaling Street and to the MRT Pasar Seni. I stay here with both my parents. And they like it here. The place is clean, and what I really like about this place is that the owner is really helpfull and always eager to help you in anyway they can. I really enjoy my stay in this place and will definitely stay here again whenever i go to Kuala Lumpur.

Exceptional”

The place is a great place to stay. It's near the train station so you can go wherever you want. It's an ideal place to stay whenever you are in Kuala Lumpur. The Staff at the bar were also very nice and motherly. The only thing that happened that we didn't like was that when we checked in, we were asked to Pay 30 Ringgit as deposit and when we checked out only 20 Ringgit was returned because it's what was noted on our check-in thing or whatever. but other than that, everything was smooth.

Excellent value”

I extended my stay at Travel Hub at least five times. That should be a clear sign of what I feel about the Travel Hub. Given all the alternatives in the immediate area, I chose this one time and time again. l highly recommend the Travel Hub. I plan to go back again the next time I am in KL.
