Ubud Village Resort is a lovely hideaway in busy Ubud. Our garden pool villa room was very well-appointed and comfortable. The bed was super comfy and there was an excellent work table built in if you need to use your laptop. I also like the special pinpointed reading lights on either side of the bed. Breakfast was a la carte and tasty with the menu changing everyday. The pool is gorgeous. The staff is so friendly and efficient. What I didn't like so much was that the resort is not exciting for teen children. The plunge pool is too cold to use so the extra payment for it is kind of wasted. There is an hourly shuttle to Monkey Forest Road which is very helpful, but the area surrounding the resort is a bit dark and dangerous to walk in after dark because of the traffic and narrow road--so you are really forced to take the shuttle into town.
Awesome place ”
Awesome property and villa. Very friendly staff especially guy called Imam at the restaurant. There needs to be better coordination between Agouda and property on package details. Lot of confusion and had to virtually go through lit if conversations on what is included. Was charged additional on extra bed by agouda while we did not use same. Have to follow through on same WITH agoyda
Perfect place to wind down in this fabulous place”
We came straight from airport and we arrived at midnight (an hour distance) but we received warm welcoming by the friendly and accommodating staffs . The resort is away from the centre Ubud so it's quiet and peaceful, they have free shuttle bus to town every hourly. Breakfast is delicious, located at high area with paddy field view. Main pool is massive, beautiful & greenery views. Our pool villa is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything is perfect. Absolutely pure relaxation for my two days stay.
A nice place to spend a few nights”
We recently spent 2 nights at the resort. We arrived late in the evening and the check in process was quick and easy. The room itself although was more than big enough, wasn't the cleanest, however, a quick call to reception and people came to sort it out. A very good selection at breakfast and a great pool area even for smaller children. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return if we visit the area again.
Villa was amazing as was the private pool. Staff were really helpful and lovely.”
Location isn’t very central so wonderful and quiet to simply relax in. There isn’t a lot going on within the hotel however the shuttle bus is a bonus as goes every hour from 8am till 10pm so if you want a range of bars and restaurants as well as shopping, the shuttle bus is a great option! No need to book just turn up and get on and then will drop you back to the hotel quarter past every hour. Breakfast is made to order and enough options to set you up for the whole day. All in all a fantastic stay with amazing staff and a huge villa! Worth every penny, wish we stayed for longer.
Great Deal, Great View n Location, Friendly Staff ”
Room villa is very clean and they even upgrade the villa to suite villa for us, thx u so much. The Staff are friendly, Great location, Perfect for honeymoon and couple stayvacation, lovely resort view n great ambience
The BEST place in Ubud”
Everything about Ubud Village is gorgeous. The staff is outstanding. The food is world-class. The location is close enough to walk to the best parts of Ubud, but also distant enough to be quiet and peaceful. There are multiple activities on-site that make this a well-rounded stay. It was very difficult to leave my villa - I have already recommended the hotel to friends, and will stay there again when in town. It's absolutely idyllic.
Couldn't have faulted this property - loved it. Rooms were excellent. Shuttle service was an added bonus as quite away from main Ubud village - having said that if you want to walk there are shops and restaurants not far. Would definitely satay again.
We had a lovely time at the Ubud Village Resort. The property is stunning and the villas are huge with pools, an outdoor bath tub and fish ponds. The spa and treatments were very relaxing and the staff are great. They offer free transfers into Ubud (on the hour) and have complimentary afternoon tea everyday.
We couldn't have more good things to say about Ubud Village Resort! Immaculate grounds, beautiful villa, helpful staff, amazing food. Try their restaurant and order the pork belly, crispy duck and mixed satay - while more expensive than food outside (although not extortionately so) we still drool thinking about it so 100% worth it! Breakfast and room service also very good. The outside sunken bathtub made for a very romantic night in, and the outside shower has honestly ruined having normal showers for us! Could not recommend more highly.
Great Resort, loved the service/surroundings”
We enjoyed our stay at the Ubud Village Resort, Bali. We were accommodated at the pool villa suite - the staff looked after us very well, our villa was cleaned daily with fresh mosquito repellent lit each night along with mosquito coils kept for our use. The breakfast was excellent each morning, especially the basket of fresh bread/cakes and the complimentary afternoon tea with local delicacies. Special thanks to Mr. Sowena for arranging banana bread to be baked specially for us and the restaurant staff who were always polite and welcoming. Also thanks to Mr. Agus, General Manager, for his warm welcome and assistance. One of the best things was the compliementary hourly shuttle to take you to/from town each day. Will definitely stay here again.
great hotel - great base for ubud area”
the villa's are very well appointed and the service very friendly and efficient. located a short shuttle drive away from udbud town and is great to chill around the pool in relative traquility. great views over the the paddy fields as well. did not eat there too much so cannot comment in detail in relation to that. for the price i think it is well worth the money and would not hesitate to recommend it.
Truly a Paradise and Gem of Ubud”
Splendid, magnificent, divine and no such words can fully describe this place.
Peaceful, beautiful, spacious”
We arrived on a Wednesday morning and had arranged for a driver from UVR to pick us up - essential in Bali (Uber etc are illegal, and I've some issues with taxi drivers before). The driver was lovely and informative as we drove the 1.5 hours (?) to Ubud from Denpassar Int. The UVR is in a slightly funny spot, just as you come in Ubud, but the spacious grounds make you feel a world away from the traffic outside the main gate. We appreciated the hourly shuttles after full days wandering the streets. The rooms are beautiful with all the right balinese touches - outside shower and bath, but a few western comforts like the toilet and second shower inside. The plunge pool and courtyard had views over the rice paddies to the main pool. It was better than a 5-star Banyan Tree resort we've stayed at, but at a fraction of the cost. The staff were attentive and genuine people and made everything easy. Food and cocktails were good too. We left planning when to come back again.
We had an amazing 3 nights at Ubud Village Resort. We were travelling with another couple and both arrived to be pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the Villa Suite. The facilities are top notch and the staff are amazing. They were so friendly, warm and always there to assist. This is Bali hospitality like no other. We will definitely be back.
Great place if you're looking for quiet”
We went at the end of November, so the beginning of rainy season. We barely saw any other guests for the four nights we were there. This is a great spot tucked away from the busyness of Ubud, but you're still only about a 10 minute ride away from the town center. The free shuttle was great and we took advantage of it multiple times. Be aware you may have minor problems with bugs if you go in the rainy season. But you're in the middle of a jungle so that should be expected. We did spot a big gecko around our villa one night - I think he helped keep the bugs at bay. We named him Frank. The staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again if I ever find myself back in Ubud. Oh and the breakfast every morning was delicious, and the setting was picture perfect. Highly recommend taking advantage of that during your stay.
The resort is more like a place of your own”
Dear reader, I usually travel to Europe and thought to be different and try Bali for the first time. My assessment in comparing hotels found small details made big differences for a pleasant stay. The resort is on flat land unlike some other resorts on a hill. The grounds and surrounds being flat means no other properties can look down on the resort making it feel like you are the only ones around. Spacious grounds and the lay out made you not feel like the resort had many guests. The walk in the morning was the best making the way up to the breakfast area as it sits on top of the dining area for the evening. This simple design for walking through the gardens to a terrace with a view of the rice fields for breakfast really made you feel like you were in more than one resort. Being just out of the centre made it feel more like a retreat however its still around the corner from central Ubud. The restaurant had a very good selection with Western and traditional food
this is on the expensive side compared to other villas in ubud area with few advantages compared with the cheaper option. it provides free shuttle to sister hotel ubud village hotel which is near ubud palace. but if you plan to walk around outside there is not so much to see and hard to walk since there is no sidewalk and very dark at night. Staff are very nice and can help you with whatever you need. Facilities... they have a common pool and a gym and big location to roam around with cabanas and chairs. Room... it says in the hotel details that the garden room is 284sqm but i think its not that big. the room needs a lot of repair and renovation, also needs a lot of cleaning. Breakfast and the afternoon tea was perfect.
Incredible stay! ”
We had such an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived we were treated to 5 star service. The staff were so welcome and accommodating and made our two night stay feel incredibly special. Our villa felt huge and we couldn't of asked for anymore..we'll definitely be back!
