Great location in Mt Victoria”

We were staying here for a few nights as part of a wedding we attended in the Blue Mountains. The Victoria and Albert was perfect for our stay and close to both the train station, cafes and the pub up the road. The stay were attentive and very personable and gave us a lovely experience - including cooking breakfast for us in the morning. The room we stayed in was towards the back and was very basic - no TV, amenities, etc.. just a room to sleep at night. The building was also very nice with a lovely balcony

Great staff did everything possible to be helpful, but the building was old and in need of maintenance, lightbulb in bathroom diddnt work, lack of power points in the room, poor bathroom paint job, average shower etc. Nothing that would put us of comming back, but only because there are limited options in the village. Staff easily made up for the problems with the building.

Very happy stay. This is a lovely guesthouse. Chef and staff are all so friendly and personable, I would definitely visit again.

Was somewhere to sleep”

Hey the place was not flash, we needed a bed for the night as we had a party to attend in the area, so our stay was for like 8 hours. It was ok for that. Not the place I would stay for a longer period. Rooms very , very basic, no air con, furniture and carpet old and tired, but clean, bed was comfortable. It was a great old building, but being old you would have to spend a fortune to do up and I guess you got to have the money to do it. My suggestion would be do a few rooms at a time. Our room had a bathroom, but the bathroom had had the window and not the room. The bathroom door closed, but above the door was a window from the bathroom to let light into the room. The bad thing was this window had no glass, so no noise barrier from the bathroom to the room. So if you like your privacy while using the facilities, bad luck. You could always have a conversation to your partner on the other side of the door. As there is no TV or radio in the room, you can hear everything. If you want more privacy, you can use the toilet down the hall I guess. The shower screen was cracked and not repaired, some mould on the shower floor. Breakfast was in the deal and cooked by the staff, basic, but very good,included , toast, spreads ,juice and cornflakes etc. So would I stay again, yes if I had to, but only a night. If you want a cosy romantic weekend, I would say no. If you had kids and needed a room for four for a night, again yes. They need to do some decent renovations, they could make the place something special as the building has good bones. Just don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Old World Charm”

We checked in late and checked out very early so didn't use any facilities or dining. Just the room and bathroom. Everything very old and dated, but clean and comfortable. Even though a quite a way from the main road trucks using engine brakes could be heard. Staff/owner was very helpful and polite. Good value for money. Beautiful old building.

The stay was fine with no real issues, but no TV or fridge in room (did not really matter for overnight stay) continental breakfast was sufficient, quiet and quaint.

Stayed overnight as we were visiting Mt Victoria for the weekend. Had dinner at the pub, but could have stayed at the guesthouse if we liked. Short, pleasant stay.

We are staying on a weekday hence not many guests checked in, so the hotel is very quiet. Furthermore Mt Victoria is a old town without much activities, hence the surrounding is quiet too. The room is quite big with a big bathroom too. It needs more heating though.
