"As I say, clean and large with high ceilings and old school, beautiful, heavy dark wooden doors and crown trim."

Fantastic location, great value for money and friendliest hotel staff”
This great find is a gem of a hotel in the hustle bustle of Siem Reap. It's very near everything from Old Market, Pub Street, & the Night Market. The staff are always more than welcome to help you figure out your itinerary, even offering suggestions to places you wouldn't normally hear about including the Artisan Workshop. In fact, on our 2nd day, we simply mentioned that we wanted to visit Kulen Mountain and they immediately fixed everything for very reasonable prices. Breakfast food at the restaurant is cheap and delicious, most meals costing USD$2 only. Fast Wifi and free water, which is hard to find in hotels/restaurants in Siem Reap. Highly recommended place to stay!
Good Location & Value for Money”
Villa Sok San Square is at the center of the Night Market, massage area, food and souvenir shops. There are also a lot of convenient stores around the vicinity. They serve a hefty buffet one could enjoy before starting your day. Service wise, the staff were courteous, knowledgeable and very polite. The rooms were kept well and we have fresh towels everyday. We stayed on the 3rd floor and we had a hard time going up the stairs (better to get a room on the ground floor or atleast on the 2nd floor}. Since we are on a higher level hot water was not good enough. Internet connection was poor on our first day, but was better on our succeeding days. I hope they could install some thick curtains since the room was so bright. We also had trouble with the shower since the water was all over the floor. I hope they could install some shower curtains. Over-all experience was okay. I could recommend Villa Sok san Square to my friends who plan to travel to Siem Reap.
Great location on Sok San Road”
Had to move hotels and wanted to be nearer to Pub Street (5 mins to there and the night market). Fantastic location, very clean, room was basic but big, wifi was excellent. Didn't have the food because there's so many options around. The hotel is opposite 2 of the best restaurants in Siem Reap (my opinion). Would have given full marks but the pool was out of action. Staff were friendly, polite and helped sort out tickets for Battambang. Will be staying again in the future.
It was excellent. The staff was very receptive and the hotel is located near the shopping area. The rooms are excellent as well though I'm not a fan of mosquitoes (somehow they sneak in). Overall, I loved it and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying the Siem Reap area.
Tidy hotel in good location”
Near enough to Pub Street but with pleasantly quiet. Staff friendly and helpful without being pushy. The rooms are basic but clean and - although I didn't use it - the pool looked good too. Choice of breakfast (if included) and the quality is fine. With free airport pickup, this has to be one of the best deals in the centre of Siem Reap.
Good location but average staff”
This booking was on my Mum's behalf, who went to Siem Reap with some relatives... While she had a great time visiting sights like the iconic Angkor Wat and shopping at the various markets conveniently located at the hotel's doorstep, the staff was average. And the same goes for the facilities at the Villas, which were quite basic. However, the hotel is definitely good value for money and is definitely one that should be considered, for any short trip to Siem Reap!
Best Hotel near Pub street”
This was the best hotel near pub street i had seen in Siem Reap. Quite nice and wide room with big tv screen, nice restaurant, swimming pool, 5 min walk to pub street. i was completely satisfied. a kind of hidden jewel.
Fantastic place to stay”
loved the staff as they are alwys friendly location was perfect as it was quiet yet close to the centre and the rooms are a nice size and very clean thanks you. I am coming back next time I'm in Siem reap
BEST PLACE TO REST IN AFTER A LONG DAY OUT”
We got the Family Suite and we were surprised that the rooms were very wide and spacious. The staff was friendly and helped us arrange the Temple Tour the next day. We were assigned a friendly driver, Mr. Choeuy, who also picked us up from the bus terminal (this is free, c/o the hotel), and also toured us around Siem Reap. They also have a restaurant in front of the building and where we bought our breakfast to go before leaving Cambodia. The hotel was also very near the Night Markets and Pub Street. We would definitely book this place again.
Villa Sok San”
We really enjoyed out stay at Villa Sok San, the staff were great, the room was large and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is very good, the fish amok was so tasty! And cheap! Great location, close to pub street and the market. A 10 min walk from the river. The hotel can arrange tuk tuk tours to Ankhor wat for you - good prices too. $20 for a day. The pool was disappointing. The sunbirds are all broken and faded and torn. We saw a man dip his child in the pool to pee - gross. This is the only downside to this hotel - if they improved the pool conditions the place would be amazing.
Very average hotel with average facilities”
This hotel looks better in pictures than in real life. Rooms are dreary and average, more like a budget hotel than the 3-star hotel they advertise. Its an ok option because of the convenient location near the night market area in Siem Reap. Ok for a few nights stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here in Siem Reap”
Stayed here with family. Pros: I thought the location was perfect. It was walking distance to Pub Street/Night Market. On the hotel street there were several restaurants/shops/spas. The room was very spacious, we got the one with 2 bedrooms and balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were the best from all the hotels I stayed in. A lot to chose from and were delicious. Their in-house restaurant serves delicious dishes at very good prices. Cons: When we first arrived the hallways didn’t have the AC on so it was hot/humid going up the stairs. That’s the other thing - no elevators but that wasn’t an issue for us. AC was turned on in the hallways the last evening we were there. There were ants in one of the bedrooms on the bed. We encountered ants everywhere we went in Cambodia. The WiFi wasn’t great but good enough in our room. The pros outweighed the cons and would definitely stay here again. It was our favorite hotel stay while in Cambodia.
Great location just off the night market area”
After the disaster of our previous night's stay, we wandered down the road towards town and came across The Villa Sok San Square. The hotel is situated behind a cafe front so may be a bit hard to spot at first but if you carry on, there are two levels of nice, spacious rooms. The rooms are clean and well stocked, although they did forget to make up our room after we had asked them to. The hotel has a pool in the back which offers a nice respite from the heat of Cambodia. Location-wise the hotel is in a perfect position to be close to town with the night market and pub street within easy walking distance; however, the hotel is still far away enough to be quiet and noise free. The staff were really friendly and helped us arrange a bunch of tours to Angkor Wat with a tuktuk driver. This hotel might a little bit on the pricier side for what you get but we would not hesitate to go back.
Good location, rooms are clean but dated”
I am travelling with my husband and two kids (ages 6 and 7). We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a good stay. It is very centrally located near pub street, the old market and the night market. All were within walking distance. Also, there are tons of restaurants just steps away from this place. Breakfast was not included with our room but we ate breakfast at the restaurant downstairs everyday for a very reasonable price. The pool was lovely. We used it often during our stay. The rooms are dated. There are no black out curtains and our room could improve with fresh paint (there were stains of all kinds on the walls). We are on a budget, so we made due. I would recommend this hotel for the pool and location.
We changed hotels to try to get better value for money and although we lost our regular tuk tuk driver, the Villa Sok San was a massive step up. Great rooms, good view down the street, some noise at night being close to Pub Street but not to disrupting, delightful staff, great pool and restaurant. No complaints really. Just that the lock up safe is portable, so not much point using it. I would stay there again on a heartbeat.
Great Hotel great location”
We stayed at Villa Sok San Square in Oct. we found the staff very friendly and could not do enough to help you, The room we had was on the first floor which they were good enough to give us as there is no lift in this hotel and we could not manage the stairs to well, the room was very spacious and clean, the location on the hotel was very close to Pub Street and the markets. The breakfast was good a set meal but enough to eat, we were able to book our bus which was with Giant Ibis which is an excellent company to travel by bus to phnom Phen at the front desk the guy on the desk organised the tickets for us, I also booked a trip to Ankor Wat using Cambodia shuttle tour for $13us which the guy on the front desk organised that also, nothing was to much trouble, I would definitely stay there again
Should be 2 stars ”
The location is really what this place has going for it. The staff are polite but seemed like everything they were trying to assist you with resulted in fishing trip for a tip. The rooms look better in the pictures than in person. No in room safe even though we were told there would be one. Also luggage storage just sits in the lobby with no security. If we were ever to come back to Siem Reap, we would probably looks else where. Might be suitable for more flash packers. Complementary breakfast consists of 3 didn't items all were pretty average however the Khmer option was very blah!
Good location, big room, friendly staffs”
The location is great, right next to pub streets and night markets. Hotel is nice and clean with a good swimming pool. Our room on 3rd floor is clean, big with a large balcony, it has 2 separate rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they treated us with welcome drinks and free massage on arrival day. They lent us hair dryer with free of charge. The restaurant is decent with good price compare to neighboring restaurants. The only downside is the wifi in our room, it's very slow and sometimes not working.
Service, Location, Room,,, Everything was perfect.”
I stayed this hotel for 3 days. Even though I checked in this hotel at late night, They offerd good service to me. I got many kind of information when it comes to Siemreap, Ankor Wat from receptionist. And, restaurant located at first floor of hotel sell many kind of delicious food at low price. So I use that restaurant at least once a day. Thanks to many kind people working in this hotel, I could have a pleasant journey.
Great Location ”
Great Location on Sok San road rooms are nothing fancy but for the price with free breakfast can't complain also cheap restaurant/bar 50 cents a beer and they organise your tuk tuk round the temples for 15 dollars and 5 dollars to airport which i imagine the fancier hotels charging more. Plenty restaurants and bars, 2 minute walk to pub street, night market etc.
