Would recommend in a heartbeat!”
The Village is such a escape from the busy bustling city lifestyle, and just a chill weekend with the better half. The hospitality shown by the staff onsite was top-notch, with welcome drinks being offered when we reached, and safety briefing by the staff personally. The room was clean and spotless. If there's one comment I can give, it will be that the air-conditioning was not that cold, even when we put 16 degrees. We didn't utilize the dinner facilities but went to Kpg Buntal nearby instead. The breakfast the following morning was a pleasant surprise, because I was expecting a simple toast and jam breakfast with a coffee. Little did I know there's coffee, milk, cereal, toast, jam, marmalade, and a choice between American Breakfast and Freshly made Pancakes. The American breakfast was good and I would recommend. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay and I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to try this place out.

Terrific and serene experience”
I would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's an hours drive and makes you forget all your trouble. Rooms are located around the pool which emits a soothing water sound perfect for relaxing and sleeping. Surprisingly, I did not have any mosquito bites (except when I went to the orchard behind, expected). Big plus cause I am a mosquito magnet! Their hospitality is superb, huge thanks to Lawrence and Priscilla for welcoming us. Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was decently portioned and great- but if you are a big eater, you can always go off to somewhere nearby to fill up your hunger bar. Breakfast - simple free flow cereal, bread, coffee and tea. Only comment I can make is to ensure the hash brown and sausages are more fried - was a bit bland. Overall, fantastic experience!

A great little hidden gem”
While its a little way out of the main centre of Kuching, it was a lovely surprise and great little hotel to stay at. If centrality to Kuching centre is not a priority I highly recommend this hotel. it is extremely good value, the decor wonderful, rooms comfortable, and staff very friendly and helpful. Having just climbed Mount Kinabalu a few days prior, this was a great place to just wind down and relax. This hotel is highly recommended.

Stuck in lovely Village House”
So here I am, stuck with a Malaysian state wide ban on travel due to COVID-19 and the kind owner of the Village House has allowed me to stay as the only guest! He has not closed and they are supplying me with good food and wellbeing. I highly recommend their professionalism, personal kindness, and generosity of spirit. The food is great, there is a lovely pool and clean, pleasant rooms. I can't fault the place. Even though I am not allowed to travel, I can go out into the village, which is a peaceful, friendly and relaxed place. There is not much to do, although a mountain is close by for walking and I am next to the beach (swimming may be a bit risky due to a new Portuguese man of war outbreak). There is the Damai beach resort close by, so one can visit there. But you wont want to leave anyway and in my case I cant! What a better place to be stranded with the world in panic and crisis. Stay calm in paradise!

Amazing relaxing stay”
Great clean and up to date room with a traditional long house exterior. Stayed a few nights for a very serene, relaxing getaway. In-house catering was decent too if guests prefer to stay in. Thank you to the staff (especially Sasha) for the great service and recommendation of a short Grab ride to the Cultural Village.

Best weekend gateway ”
I love the place. It’s perfect to get away from busy life and enjoy nature. The food was great and so was the environment. I played some of the boardgame in the room at top of the bar. Had fun but some of the games already rosak but still playable. This place definitely worth the money! If u prefer quiet stay, try go during weekdays. You’ll never regret it!

fabulous stay”
we stayed midweek and were somehow very lucky to be the only guests around. what a serene retreat! food was included in our stay, and it was alright but nothing to shout about. there weren't much to choose from as the kitchen was not stocked for the day. although the beach was not easily accessible, we travelled by car around. (absolutely great for if there are no rowdy groups around and for swimming on idle days.)

Looking forward to my next stay :) ”
Called to confirm if the grey gate is the Village, as there no sign board etc. Warming received by Mr Laxer with welcoming drinks and a friendly chat. It was a quiet Sunday/ Monday night with 4 other couples. The pool is just right down our door step :) They offer bicycle facilities too! We took a ride down to the beach at Santubong village :) Looking forward to our next trip back here!

Perfect place to relax”
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax. I picked it because it was close to the beach, but the beach isn’t that great. Luckily, you have everything you need here to unwind and so you don’t really need to leave. If you want a change of scenery, they do arrange some excursions. The staff were super lovely and service was amazing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the pool is really nice.

Great Sanctuary”
My wife and I have just had a wonderful stay at village house in Santubong. It has a very relaxing environment and wonderful staffs, and is a great place to spend a couple of romantic days. They have a lovely garden and swimming pool. It is really a very beautiful and peaceful place for those, who want to relax in a quiet and pleasant place. We went there on our wedding anniversary. The staff specially setup a nice table for us inside the bar area and we really had a lovely time and dinner. We took a lot of photos. One thing to note is the wooden bed frame is a little squeaky when you turn and move when in bed. Might be difficult for those who need “Privacy” and those who are sensitive to sound when sleeping. Overall, a very wonderful place for a short getaway from the busy city life and work.

MIND THERAPHY”
If you are feeling breakdown from work, this is the best place to apply that annual leave and spend it here. It is so peaceful and a very good place for your inner-healing. Staff are really friendly, you’d always feel welcoming by them.

The view and environment is very relaxing. Able to chill by the pool with nice glass of cocktail or juice. Perfect combination. Don't have to worry about where to go for dinner as it is included, a plus point & their food is superb.

Hidden Gem in Kuching”
What I Love: 1. The relaxing ambience 2. The privacy (sorry kids. You are not allowed here) 3. The staffs ( approachable) 4. The swimming pool ( Unfortunately we cannot dip in the pool since Kuching in PKPB) 5. The cozy activity room 6. The safety ( Gated area) What I don’t like: 1. Insects ( It makes toilet looks dirty when insects can enter the bathroom easily since no net in the toilet) 2. Ala carte menu should include finger foods like fries, wedges, banana fritters. 3. No rubbish bin in the room. 4. Check out time too early at 11.00 5. Oriental breakfast please! Hahaha I need mihun, nasi lemak or porridge Overall i will be coming back for the pool. The cons that I wrote just a minor problem. This Village House will give you the feeling and experience that you need when you are desperate to go holiday. It reminds me of Bali with that big entrance door and tree planted near swimming pool. What you seen-in the photo, is what you will get!
