Affordable, convenient location in NYC”
I would highly recommend the Watson Hotel in NYC, midtown west. We were within walking distance to subway stations and Central park. We traveled around the city via subway to all our points of interest which were in close proximity. The hotel was clean and comfortable with excellent service from all the staff and the concierge was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. She gave us very good guidance as to how to navigate the city to via walking and using the subway. I would highly recommend Agoda and this hotel. Excellent value for money and the hotel is most conveniently located close to food outlets, pharmacies, coffee cafe's and all main points of interest. We even felt safe using the subway and walking in the area late at night. We will stay at the Watson for our next visit to NYC!

A Gem in Hell's Kitchen”
Reviews were mixed, but passable for a really good deal on this hotel. However, our experiences staying here for over a week were consistently very good to excellent. We got breakfast as part of our package, which requires daily voucher cards from hotel management. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, despite the fact that we were using vouchers (of course, we tipped well, but they didn't know we would until after waiting on us, so kudos to them!). So food and service were great. The hotel itself looks a little worn/dated, but it has solid "bones." Everything was clean and functional. Housekeeping was very nice and responsive, but not too intrusive, so great. There are many stores and restaurants within about a 4 block radius and plenty of mass transit access nearby. All told, The Watson Hotel was a great deal and I'd happily stay here again and recommend it, if the price is right.

Wonderful Stay , staff great , clean , warm . Definitely coming back 🙂”
Lovely welcoming hotel , great location . Pleasantly quiet for the busy location of time square around the corner . Staff were very attentive and helpful . Slightly dated decor but we loved the rooms . Warm , cosy , clean , fresh towels , clean shower curtain . We needed a fan , within seconds one was delivered to our room . Fantastic service . Life saver mints in bowls at reception , great touch ! Pros were minimal , however , The shower head kept falling out the wall , they did send someone to fix it ,temporarily, But maybe this needs to be looked in to a bit more . Breakfast was good but very expensive , especially for a family of 4 . Overall we were sad to leave , we throughly enjoyed our visit to NY and The Watson Hotel made it even greater , receptionist who greeted us was so helpful in letting us choose room vacancy , super . Thank you , we will be coming back . We also had a great view from our room , amazing 😃

Great hotel, location and price!”
Stayed for 11 days with sister and 2 teenage nephews. Nice hotel, good facilities, very clean, Excellent central location, staff very courteous and polite. Maureen who works on hospitalities? desk - very very informative and certainly gave us the best advice on what to see and do whilst staying in New York! Hotel owner - Joe or Mr C! makes a point to greet his guests and remembers everyones name! very nice touch, felt very welcomed. Rooftop pool is amazing too. Felt very safe and secure within hotel and New York in general. Would highly recommend The Watson and would stay again. Best hotel I have stayed in!

Exceptional”
My wife and I really enjoyed the Watson Hotel because of its location and amenities. We visited NYC at the end of July when it was hot and humid. We wanted a hotel that offered a swimming pool so we could cool off after days of exploring the city. The rooftop pool was excellent. It had sun chairs where we could relax and read and the pool was clean and refreshing. Many guests enjoyed the pool, but it didn't feel overcrowded and the lifeguard on duty made sure guest were respectful of others enjoyment of the area. They also had a bar which served drinks and prepared food for the guests. The location of the hotel was also ideal. We walked alot because several attractions are close by. We walked to Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, and several excellent restaurants. Being located on the edge of Hell's Kitchen made for a great spot because my wife and I love good food. The rooms weren't super nice and the bathroom was small, but the bed was really comfortable.

Weekend getaway.”
Had a great experience at the Watson Hotel this past weekend. We had 2 1/2 days to do as much as possible. The Watson Hotel’s location is great! Close to Central Park and Time Square. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere we needed to. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We really have no complaints. Something to note is that the thermostat was not working well enough to regulate the room temperature. But we just opened the windows and the room was nice and cool. The staff was good whenever we needed something. Overall, we really had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay at the Watson Hotel.

Fantastic”
The Watson Hotel were life savers after our air bnb cancelled 8 days before we were scheduled to arrive to stay in NYC for 28 nights. 20 minute walk to Times Square and Broadway theatres. A few blocks from Central Park. Close to subway stations and the Roosevelt deli on the corner was delicious. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Fridges on request which was great for our month long stay. Nice area felt completely safe the whole time even walking home late at night. Staff were great nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Excellent value for money given the location!”
Located in Hell's Kitchen (midtown West) but only 5-10 mins walk from the centre/Times Square etc. Only a few minutes walk to the nearest subway station (59 St Columbus) which takes you pretty much everywhere you need to go in the city! Really spacious and tidy rooms with great views of the city. This is my second stay here and would definitely come back again!

Good hotel, good location!”
We were a little nervous about this hotel after reading some of the reviews however it was more than fine. Yes parts of the hotel are dated, mainly corridors and bathrooms, but the main bedroom is nice with comfy beds and air con and for the price you pay compared to other NY hotels, I don’t think you can complain. The bathroom as mentioned was dated but clean. The cleaner came in every day cleaning our beds and replacing coffee and shampoos etc. The only downside was not having a fridge in the room to keep water, but there was an ice bucket and ice machines on every other floor. Pool was a welcome break after long days walking in the heat. Location was good with about ten mins walk to Central Park and Times Square. We would stay again.

Loved our stay here!”
The hotel is clean and has great amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful, could not fault them! The rooms were large and beds were comfy. Only room negative was the heater fan was a little noisy. If you want to stay a little away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square then this is a fabulous place to choose. It’s close to a subway station plus lots of shops and Times Square is about a 15-20min walk away. It’s also right near Central Park. We would definitely return for another stay at The Watson and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it!

Just returned from a 6 day break at the Watson . Very professional and helpful staff nothing was to much . We were on the 6th floor quiet clean and beds really comfortable room cleaned daily and great coffee machine . Went to the pool twice added bonus in NYC . Only fault in need of updating a little run down in areas but still had a fabulous time even without a refurb would stay again recommended to my sister who has booked for 10 days September . Ideal location .Thank you to everyone at the Watson for a lovely experience .

We liked it!”
Excellent price. We got a promotion, it was very affordable for 6 nights in New York. Excellent location, very close of Columbus station. The hotel needs to upgrade the bathrooms for they look very old. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Great value and location for the price”
I very much enjoyed my stay at The Watson. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of central park, Carnegie Hall (which was why we were there) and Broadway as well as several other things. There were many great restaurants near the hotel. All in all a great stay at The Watson. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent value”
Overall, I would rate this hotel about 4 out of 5. Mostly because we got an incredibly amazing price that was 75% off the regular rate on Agoda.com. The room was a decent size compared to other hotels I've stayed in New York. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were great (important for me). There were several minor issues/mistakes - for example the first room we got had a leaking ceiling (had to switch rooms) - but the hotel made up for it. The room was clean but could have been much cleaner. The location is great. Minutes from Times Square and Central Park. Lots of restaurants, convenience stores and shopping within a few blocks. Food there is not very good so recommend going elsewhere.

Perfect location”
Coming from Harrisburg, PA to see a show but we did not want to drive the three and a half hours home afterwards we looked for a place to spend the night. The Watson was the perfect choice as to location and price. The staff is amazing and we'll be returning in the winter when next we come to the City for a show!

Very good! ”
Great location. Safe upscale commercial neighborhood. Easy to find by taxi. Friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms. Very nice espresso maker. But our room had no fridge. The hotel itself is an old property, probably even historic. So I didn’t mind the old fashioned feel of the place. The elevator looked vintage. A walking distance to Central Park, 5th Ave and everything else in midtown Manhattan. Super great place to stay!

Amazing location, Amazing value probably the best in Manhattan”
I have stayed at this property many times over the past several years. And I can comfortably say that if you are looking for a place to stay which is priced fairly (accordingly to NYC standards) and require easy moving around Manhattan you will not find better. Blocks away from Times Square...blocks away from Javitz Center which hosts most of the Commercial Trade Shows in NYC and convenient transportation flexibility from cabs to subway or if you are driving with your own car. I will continue to stay at The Watson for years to come.

Budget Friendly”
We had a nice stay at The Watson. It was a very budget friendly stay and the staff was friendly and helpful. Access to buses and subway were real close to get around the city. There was a starbucks down the street as well as some restaurants on 10th Ave. We would stay at The Watson again.

Exceptional”
I had a double double bed room. I thought from the picture my room would be tight quarters but that was not the case at all. We only stayed one night but our room was comfortable and quiet. We were easily able to walk to Radio City Music Hall, Time Square, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center. The people working were friendly and helpful. Also, if you park next door and have your ticket validated you receive a discount. I live in the Boston area and have paid more for a parking garage for a few hours than I did for 24 hour parking in NY! Lastly there are plenty of places to eat nearby and it cost us nothing to store our luggage for a few hours before we actually left. Overall, I would stay here again.
