Excellent Stay at the Westin Chosun in Busan”

Outstanding location, great service, very clean, great staff!!
Wish I could have stayed longer!!

Had an outstanding stay at the Westin Chosun Beach Hotel located in Busan, South Korea. The location was breath taking with an awesome ocean and beach view. It was close to everything including dining, shopping, and entertainment. The staff provided superb service and were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is well kept and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable and decorative. The ocean view room provided breath taking views of the the city and the beach and ocean. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend a few nights in Paradise!!

Nice but not 5 star”

staff, location, bed

We stayed at the Westin Chosun over the New Year holiday period in Haeundae Busan. My partner and I are teachers, so we found a good deal on Agoda to stay in a luxury hotel for a few nights. The staff at the hotel are exceptional. They have very good English skills and will do anything for you which is what anyone should expect from a 5 star establishment. The location is fantastic and the view from the downstairs bar is spectacular. The room I felt was a little dated. The carpets in the rooms and the hallways are worn and need to be updated. I also feel that with the great range of skin care and beauty products in Korea, the Westin Hotel could achieve some sort of special deal with a company and improve their products to make it a real 5 star experience. I also feel that the bathroom needs to be altered as it has some pipes exposed and the bath is a standard bath, it should be a spa, it is 5 star, after all. The bed it outstanding and the view ( city view) I feel is better than ocean as at night you can see all the lights of Busan and it is really lovely. As for the room service and price of food and drink in general it is WAY over priced. Especially since you are a guest there! I also feel that the Jjimjibang on site should be one free visit for paying guests as it is 5 star. There are many thing that this hotel gets wrong and I don’t think it should be 5 star, 4 at best. Overall it is nice, but not worth the money for the experience I feel.

Nice hotel by the Haeundae beach”

great view of the Haeundae beach, attentive staff

The staff allowed us early check-in and late check-out and they are very helpful! Baby cot and baby bathtub are provided. The hotel is right next to the beach and our room has great view of the beach. All amenities are Westin standard. We joined the free Dongbaek Island tour and the tourguide Jay was very informative and friendly. We would recommend this hotel in Busan.

One Day In Paradise!!!”

Staff was very polite and eager to provide quality services. Room was very elegant with a spectacular view of Hyundae Beach Fitness center and spa are of the highest caliber and are staffed with personnel who are knowledgeable, skilled, and courteous.
Mini-Bar although very well-stocked was a little over-priced even for a mini-bar.

From the moment of our arrival till our departure my fiance' and I were both pleased by the staff's courteous and helpful nature. We found the hotel to be in excellent condition and our room was not only clean, comfortable and cozy enough for a romantic getaway, by being on a point jutting out at the end of the beach it also provided a breathtaking view of Hyundae Beach and the ocean itself. The hotel also sits on a point with a walkway that goes around the entire point with various landings you can stop at and get a different perspective from while also getting a little execise in at the same time. The cost of staying at the hotel may be a little pricey for someone middle class income such as myself but it was sure worth every penny of it and my fiance' and I had no regrets and will probably come here again whenever we plan another getaway to Busan.

View, hospitality, friendly

Perfect stay. We enjoyed every minute of our weekend. We would recommend this hotel to any one. We had a beach view and it was amazing. The service was very professional and friendly. The room service was Very quick and very good. The weather was also very nice. The location of the hotel is right on the beach. And provides easy access to the water. You can enjoy a water very with a bottle of champagne and a bottle of Wine. You can get up early to also watch the sun rise. There are restaurants in the hotel or you can walk down the strip and find a lot of other restaurants. Busan is an international city. A lot of people speak very well English.

Good hotel in Busan, a bit pricey

Stayed at the Westin for a conference in Busan. It is in a nice location, the service is as expected, but given the high price tag, I would expect that Wi-Fi should be included. I had breakfast and dinner in their buffet-style restaurant, again, everything is OK, but nothing too spectacular. The fact that the APEC meeting in 2005 took place there, has obviously boosted this region and the hotel. The nearby beach is clean, but a bit small and gets crowded on sunny days.

One of top choices in Haeundae, Busan”

Can't beat the location as the hotel is located right on the beach and next to Dongbaek Island. The Bay 101 yacht club, one of the hottest spots in Haeundae area, is also within 2 minute walking distance. Room is super clean and nice. Loved the ocean view, which was truly breathtaking. The sauna, executive club lounge, and pool area are also superb. Services are also top notch. Not a new hotel, but it is time tested and offers unparalleled stay experience. Strongly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers. Will definitely go back.

Nice, Luxury Hotel”

Location to the beach, comfort of beds, and service

Our stay was good. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The Westin lost one of our reservations and after some communication they upgraded our rooms which was nice. The down side is that the Westin Restaurants are expensive, and we sought to eat elsewhere rather than feed our 3 children in a place they would not appreciate or eat at anyway. The location is a bit secluded from other restaurants so you have to walk a few blocks to the main hub of the food available to tourists. The Westin though, is the only hotel that is right on the beach, no streets to cross, etc. to get to the beach. That was nice.

Great location, but overpriced ”

A family of three, we stayed for one night in a double room with extra bed. View of the beach from the room was great. The location is excellent. The room itself was fine. Furnishings are a bit old but in good condition. Breakfast selection is good by Korean standards. Novotel and Citadines are more reasonably priced. Have never understood why the Westin commands such high prices.

The rooms are generous in size, modern and well appointed. The buffet restaurant had a fabulous range of cuisine and the view on the beach side looking down the coast and over Busan exceded expectations..

A great hotel that seems realtivel new. The rooms are ideal for the business traveler but it's shame they don't include free internet although it's not expensive. The buffet restaurant had a wide range of cuisine although it was slightly on the expensive side. It appears an easy walk into the heart of Busan. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous Lobby and Great Service”

Excellent location, nice accents, nice restaurants and bar.
Room was mediocre for price. Because we didn't check in early, we came about 2pm, we could not get a room with a decent view, instead we got to oversee the parking garage. We also had to wait 40 minutes for the room to be ready.

We enjoyed our stay at the Westin but the room left some to be desired. The staff was very friendly and the amenities and location of the hotel were outstanding. We loved sitting in the lounge overlooking the Haeuandae Beach and having a bite to eat. I would stay at the Westin Chosun again if I could get a guarantee that we wouldn't have a mediocre room.

Great Room, Pricey Food and Drinks”

Room bed and linens, location by the beach, cleanliness

The stay was quite nice. We had a room with one queen and one double bed for two nights at $200 per night through Agoda. I have been in much more expensive rooms that weren't nearly as nice; so, well not cheap, the rooms at this price were a bargain. These were weekday nights during the Korean Thanksgiving holiday. Everything about the hotel is excellent but the food and beverage is extremely expensive. Lowest priced bottle of red wine was $70. Coffee in the lobby cafe is $5 for a standard size cup. These prices seemed extreme for even the most expensive of hotels.
