Fantastic experience at bandhavgarh”
We stayed at the wildflower for our safari tour to Bandhavgarh National Park. It was a good decision to choose this place over others. Its a lovely place run by wery friendly and helpful staff. Mr. Dubey who manages the property is gem of a person and ensures that every aspect of guest's stay is well taken care of. The meals are prepared from organic locally grown vegetables and poultry. The chef knows his job well and every meal was a treat. The rooms have all items of comfort and have a lovely view of the surrounding forest. We booked our safari permits and rest was taken care of by them. The only thing i missed was good telephonic connectivity and english movie channels in rooms. A great wildlife lodge in every sense. Kudos. Keep it up.
A delightful Stay”
Stayed here for 2 days..wish it were longer. Management and staff are superb and so were the rooms and food. The rooms are large and absolutely beautiful decor infusing forest feel and have all amenities. The dinner we had on machan on tree top was something to remember forever. A beautiful place to stay in the national park. We took one safari but didn't spot tiger. Will come back for more safaris and enjoying the resort again...Thanks
Peaceful natural accommodation ”
Staff friendly attentive and helpful. Good home cooked food with very flexible mealtimes to suit our programme Facilities a bit tired. No Internet.
Shold no be booked for others”
We 3 couples booked hotel on line but it got converted to single occupancy so we paid Rs 1300 more So pl ask them to repay back our money. Hotl is far away so difficult to locate ..Food served was really v v good.
A great place to stay quiet and comfortable”
No wifi (or mobile) access or english TV channels - however a nice kitten, frog and 2 turtles If you want to go into park they will arrange an expensive experience if you want to do it cheaper go into Tala and arrange. Gate 2 or 3 is the go.
Nice Experience ”
I made a booking with the Wildflower Resort in Bandhavgarh at 11:00 Pm and checked in just about half an hour later without a booking voucher. Was surprised to see that they were waiting for me with welcome drinks! Its not a fancy city hotel where such last minute bookings and unexpected arrivals are regular, but a resort in the middle of dense forest of Bandhavgarh. I was thoroughly impressed not just with fantastic ambiance and decor of the resort but also the friendliness and care of the lovely people working there. The rooms were just as i saw on agoda. Spacious and clean , well furnished with windows overlooking the forest . Although there was a TV in the room but sitting in the verandah always felt like a better idea. The food was fantastic, and meals served whenever I felt like. They do have a daily menu, but the Chef was happy to adapt his recipes to my palate. Overall a very memorable stay. Will come back again for Jeep safaris. Highly recommended.
Quiet rural surroundings”
Wildflower Resort is a relatively new hotel still getting its feet wet. The hotel is very nice and rooms are big and clean. Our room had a water leak probably due to late monsoon season but it caused some allergies for us. the staff is very attentive, almost too attentive. There is always someone waiting on you. You are also very far from town and need to catch rides in if you would like to explore on our own or book your own safari. If you are looking to be pampered and have an all inclusive experience on a very pretty natural setting ( it's in the Tala Zone apparently) then it's a good choice. If you are a backpacker, it's a bit too far off the pulse of the town.
bad experience. would not recommend anyone ”
Please do not promote this resort. food was awful, service was poor, staff inexperienced, pool is miniature with algae and frogs, money swindlers, no intercom, and the list is endless. Sorry the most disappointing stay as yet in any hotel or resort across India.
A perfect forest retreat”
Being a wildlife photographer, travelling to Bandhavgarh is a frequent event for me. After having stayed at most of the resorts in this area I can say that The Wildflower, is probably the best choice especially because of its superb location, nice cozy rooms, excellent service and it being a good value for money. I shall mention a few things which I noticed about this place, Safari arrangements- The safaris were well managed. I always make it a point that mine is the very first vehicle to enter the park. Every morning the safari gypsy was waiting for me at 4:00 AM, perfect. I demanded a knowledgeable guide for the safari and they ensured it as well. Its location is just fantastic. The resort is just adjacent to the core zone of the national park. It is right inside the forest but not far away from Tala, ie the village from where you enter the park for safari. The place is replete with positive energy. It is quiet and peaceful. Just fresh air with scent of the jungle and singing of the birds. The resort is not very big, and has just the perfect ambience of a jungle lodge. The rooms are air conditioned and nicely furnished. A large bed with very cozy comforters and premium bedding, sofas, TV with tata sky, tea coffee maker etc. The bathrooms are large and clean. The amenities included a swimming pool, a gazebo for bonfires and cultural feats, a small library, some indoor games, badminton court and a super fantastic watch tower built around a huge mahua tree. I just loved this huge Machan, a perfect retreat for a wildlifer. Nature walk in the hills adjoining the resort was a complimentary offering. I spotted a wild pig and sambar deer on the trek. Hired their bikes and went for a ride into the forest and nearby village and again spotted a blue bull on my way back. The food was superb. I ended up over eating every time. The staff is truly genial and took good care. Hospitality at its best. Overall a good value for money. Recommended.
Just okay”
I am touring India for two months on a budget and wanted to see the tiger in Bandhavgarh. I found Wildflower resort on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. The resort looks very nice and the room I had was big and neatly furnished with it's king size bed and tiger paintings. The bathroom was not the cleanest when I received my room, but after first housekeeping it was ok. The owner Avinash was very helpful in organising my tiger safaris and excursions and transport, though I am sure I did not get the best possible price as my stay was in April, which is low-season and shared safari vehicle with other tourists was not an option as I was their only customer during my four night stay. I had two tiger safaris with the official national park guide and driver, booked through Wildflower resort. On my first safari, I had good driver, good guide, but bad luck and no tigers. On my second safari, I had bad driver, bad guide, but good luck and saw a tiger. Overall my stay was successful, I saw a tiger. There was a language barrier between me and the Wildflower staff, which caused some mismatch of what I had ordered from the menu and what was brought to the table. Had the staff been much better in English language and sharing brought down the safari price from 5000 INR (plus taxes), which I now paid for a private safari, I would highly recommend this resort, now I can only recommend with caution.
Very nice resort”
The resort is very nice and the rooms are great; food was ok; The only thing you can do in the area is see tigers. We were lucky, but without tigers it would have been disappointing. Be sure to book your safaris in advance, otherwise you will have no chance to do one!
Value for money”
We had a very good stay at Hotel Chandan. The staff was friendly and food was also good. The bathrooms were exquisite. Its value for money and very good for travellers who are on a budget. The owner helped us out for in arranging share safari's and to get a hotel in jabalpur.
Clean rooms but bad road and very slow service”
Stay was ok but faced issues with local management. Rooms allocated initially were not as per booking. We had to change rooms in between. Deluxe rooms have only coolers, no a/c. Food service is slow and not up to the mark. Rooms were clean and surroundings are good. Road to the resort is in very bad condition and is bit far (3 kms) from Tala zone.
Great location. Loved the atmosphere. Clean rooms.”
We were travelling in a group of 8.Loved everything. Suggest hotel accept credit cards, and offer lunch and dinner pacakages on Agoda for easy payment. There are no ATM's in Tala, and payment currently has to be made in cash, which is very inconvenient.
