Absolutely magical way to experience Williamsburg & NYC for the first time”
Everything about or anniversary experience at the William Vale was incredible - from check in to check out the staff, facilities and the room itself we felt this was the most perfect way to experience the original vibe of Brooklyn and Manhatten for the first time. Design, cleanliness and service were on point. It's pricey (for sure!) but worth absolutely every penny! Do yourself a favour and stay at the WV when you're in NY next!
Excellent stay in Williamsburg”
I highly recommend the William Vale hotel. The room was perfect, very clean, comfortable, modern, and tastefully decorated. The shower was heavenly. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and ready to accommodate our every need. The rooftop bar is STUNNING. We were there in November so unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of the pool. The metro is an easy 5 minute walk down Bedford Ave, and you will be in the centre of Manhattan within 15-20 minutes of leaving the hotel. I love staying in Williamsburg for the atmosphere and restaurants, and the William Vale added a touch of luxury to our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return to this hotel next time we are visiting NYC.
Great stay!”
We had an amazing stay at The William Vale and can't wait to return. The rooms are beautiful and the view is incredible! Our only complaint was the lack of lifts.... you wait forever to get up and down :( Apart from that would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies checking out Williamsburg.
Not as good as I had hoped”
The William Vales is nice new, modern hotel within waling distance of central Brooklyn. The actual location is bit disappointing as it offers very little in the way of restaurants nearby or thinks to do. The hotel is lovely, with good facilities and nice spacious rooms. Dining is a bit limited, although what they do have is very well run and of high quality. If you need to be in that part of Brooklyn, then the William Vale is the best hotel on offer, however, next time I think I will stay somewhere more interesting and commute.
Good”
William Vale did not come close to meeting the expectations, or for that matter the requirements of a 5 star hotel rating. On the positive side, the rooms are nice, bright, clean, and reasonably sized for New York. The location is w/in walking (10 mins) to 2 subway lines, one of which (L) gets into Manhattan in 1 stop, union Sq. in 3. There’s plenty of good food around; swimming pool, valet service, etc. The main problem with the hotel is the service. I arrived at 10:00 AM, so understandably the room was not available yet. It wasn’t available at 12:00 or 14:00. Yes, the check in time is 15:00, but it is reasonable to expect more from a 5 star hotel, which was not fully booked at the time. I was told that after housekeeping finishes cleaning the room, it needs to be “inspected”, presumably to ensure that it is ready for the next guest. Again, the normally expected room amenities of a 5 star hotel were not met by WV; no bathrobes, no slippers, no toothbrushes, etc.…Hotel’s primary function is to provide a comfortable room, and room in a 5 star hotel should have most simple things like robe & slippers. They were of course brought to me within an hour of calling, but the point is; they should be available w/out asking for them. One of the items that were available in the room was a shower cap, which I left wet on the counter (forgot to throw it away). It was waiting for me there the next day – housekeeping did not throw it away either, nor did they replace it. There are positives in this hotel, but I’m not commenting on them more because these petty and miserly measures of the hotel totally overshadowed the good points. The hotel has great potential and revisiting customer service policies and room amenities is vital if the hotel wants to live up to the 5 star claims.
Small rooms, too small for two people everything else great”
Rooms are on the small side and view is spoilt by huge construction site going on that’s not going to finish any time soon. Pool staff were great and up for a laugh and always happy to help. Location is also good as you have lots of nice places to eat within walking distance. If your on floor 16 or below probably worth asking to be moved higher if you want to enjoy the views properly. Anyway all in all nice hotel but the size of the standard rooms put me off from staying here again if with the wife, if I’m solo then I would. Rooftop bar is worth checking out. Although they do charge everyone including hotel guests to visit the roof above the bar which is $20. Seems a bit tight to do that to guests as well.
Big mistake for ordering breakfast! ”
The view was great and staffs were friendly but breakfast was late, biggest mistake for ordering breakfast in room. I ordered breakfast for between 7:30am-8:00am at 10:00pm. And my breakfast didn’t come until 8:30am so I called and checked what happened and one girl answered my question was like “Our breakfast starts at 9:00am.” But I told her that I made an order by phone to bring my breakfast at around 7:30-8:00am and she asked me what did I order so had to repeat then she said she will send it to my room right away and of course, my breakfast arrived after 9:00am. I was planned to be in downtown area at 9:00am but I reached there at 11:00am on that day. Everything I have planned was all messed up. Thank you for that. And the housekeeping is so early like at 9am. But bathroom and room were so clean and nice :)
Fantastic experence! ”
Everything was perfect and the night view of the room was superb. The entire hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. The bars on the roof are polished and delicious! :) I'll visit this Hotel :)
Exceptional”
Lovely hotel, but unless you get a manageable price, extremely expensive for a couple travelling for leisure purposes.
Exceptional”
Absolutely brilliant hotel, fantastic service! Would be great to have some spa facilities or nail bar in the hotel itself but other that that everything you need is there! Will definitely be back
Fair”
I expected a great services at the kind of hotel like this, especially this price. But I was so disappointed at the service there staff wasn't friendly and helpful at all, we didn't get treated as a guest or get prioritize at the rooftop bar. The only staff that take good care of us is the guy in the pink suite (not sure what's his name) He is so good. The room was clean and we quite impressed with the design of the room and the space. Balcony is huge also the view is great too!

Tons of mistakes made throughout our entire trip by the staff. Very unorganized and not very accommodating. Would never recommend any one to stay here. Other hotels nearby that are just as nice.
