A pleasant stay”
I stayed at The Z Hotel Victoria during my trip to London together with a friend. The location of the hotel is really near Victoria station which is ideal for daily travelling. The reception of the hotel is just at the breakfast area which can be really crowded and hectic with people checking in. Breakfast time felt alittle crowded. Food quality at breakfast is good except it is the same for all 6days of our trip. However, it is a quick breakfast fix before we head out. Check in and out was hassle free. Able to deposit our luggage before and after check in which was excellent! Staff were pretty friendly. I love our room which is really clean with daily room service. We were ok with the really small room, not much space to move around. Our room has no window and at certain times at night we could hear the train so claustrophobic ppl and lightsleepers might wish to choose a bigger room with window and higher level. Asked for a higher level when i made the booking, but unfortunately there is no room available during check in. Would defintely stay here again next time.
Comfortable and Relaxing Stay”
Our stay was good. we have good and firm bed but pillows are too soft. The bed are also very small. Great location. just opposite Victoria Train and Metro Station. 5 mins walk to Victoria Coach Station. if you plan to do a day tour, the final gathering pick up is @ Victoria Coach Station. 5 - 7 mins walk to Buckingham Palace. From Buckingham Palace, walking distance to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey. Good location for shopping too. If you are coming from Luton Airport, just buy the National Express Coach tickets and you can drop at Victoria Rail Station and Z Hotel is just opposite. very convenient.
Unbelieveable hotel!!!”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Z hotel Victoria. The location is amazing as it is right beside Victoria and perfect for people who want to travel a bit during their stay in London, it's also within walking distance of Buckingham palace which was lovely to get a bit of sightseeing in during our trip. The rooms are fabulous! I loved the black and white theme in the room, the bed was so comfy and the television with all the channels was something we'd never experienced before in any hotel we had stayed in anywhere!! The staff were also so friendly and helpful! I really couldn't fault this hotel and I am really looking forward to returning!
Snug as a Bug Perfect”
The rooms are small, quaint and modern - the reason why I called it ‘Snug as a Bug’ Perfect. We had a room without a window and we loved how dark and quiet it was and how comfy the bed was. Our room was one of the smallest which I knew when we booked it. I didn’t mind as we were only there for two nights. If you are staying longer you may require a bigger room. They have free wine and appies everyday between 5 to 8 pm. Great wine and food. This is definitely an added bonus especially after sightseeing all day. After that if you still want dinner or more drinks there is a great pub next door. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Victoria Station and close proximity to Buckingham Palace, the hop on hop off bus stop, and Westminster Abbey. We would definitely stay at the Z Hotel again.
Great Boutique Hotel in Victoria”
We loved our stay in Z Hotel Victoria. The location is perfect and near the Victoria metro and Victoria Coach Station. The room was very modern and clean. Note that the room is very small as well - there's very little space to move about and the bathroom space is airplane-sized. But we knew that in advance and we had no problems with the size. Also, we loved the free wine and cheese every 5PM-8PM. Thanks so much to Z Hotel Victoria for a lovely London vacation!
Great location”
The hotel is right next to London Victoria station so it's very convenient to reach other parts of London. I was travelling out of Victoria to the South and staying near Victoria station made it simple and relaxing. The hotel has everything you would expect from a business hotel and is fronted by a cafe which also houses the reception. Staff were polite and helpful. There is a daily cheese and wine evening from 5 - 8pm for guests but I never had a chance to join in because of my arrangements. I stayed in room 212 which overlooked Lower Belgrave Street, so it was a bit awkward getting ready in the mornings with the office opposite and pedestrians able to see me through the window. I was upgraded from a windowless inner room when I checked in. The shower and toilet are separated by glass partitions that help to make the room look more spacious and the flooring is a rubberised vinyl type material which was used for the whole room. A pair of slippers would have been nice in this case. The double bed was very comfortable and was set up for two even though I booked for one. That was nice. The desk and chair were fine and there was drinking water provided. Having the London terminal next door meant that most things were easily available with Boots and newsagents all located within the station. There's a pub next door and a wine/off licence across the road. There are numerous cafe chains dotted around if thehotel's offerings do not meet your requirements. But the wifi and cosiness of the hotel cafe meant a lot of guests used it over going to other cafes. Overall, I would recommend this hotel even though the 20% hotel tax was a bit of a shock when I went to book. It took the £65 per night up to £80. If you will be travelling into London from Victoria then it is even more highly recommended.
Absolutely marvelous!”
Just for the location itself, this hotel deserves a 5 star. We stayed at Z Hotel Victoria for a total of 4 nights. We had to break our stay after the 3rd night for a trip to Edinburgh. We left our luggages for 3 days at their luggage storage facility free of charge. When we arrived back at Z Hotel at around 8am, they even allowed us to check-in early and to an upgraded room at that! Wonderful staffs indeed! It was a very gratifying act after a tough night in a sleeper bus. Will surely stay again at this hotel in a future London trip. Highly recommended!
Beautiful building in excellent location”
The Z hotel Victoria is a beautiful building in an exceptional location. The staff are wonderful and the wine and cheese happy hour that is included is a lovely little bonus. The building seems to be used for a lot of short term, business minded stays. The rooms are small but clean and modern. The only suggestion I could make, is that there is lack of space to put items if you are staying longer than a few days. The building does not have any gym or sauna facilities but the lobby is lovely with strong wifi throughout. But I would happily recommend the Z Hotel Victoria and we would stay there again in a heart beat.
Clean rooms at the perfect location”
As per title, the location is the most alluring factor for this hotel. Located just 5 minutes walk from the Victoria Station/buses (10 minutes from Victoria Coach St), it's located at place that is convenient to base your travel around London. The rooms were modern and very clean, albeit a bit small. The toilet and shower booth were spacious enough, just be prepared for the almost see-through walls between the room and the toilet. Almost all basic amenities are provided; soaps, shampoo/body wash, toothbrush, complementary water, etc. However keep in mind there is no fridge, just in case you want to keep some food in the room. The cafe at the lobby was always busy in the morning, and the cheese and wine in the evening seemed excellent too, though we never got a chance to experience the cafe ourselves. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, we needed some tickets printed which they were happy to help out with. Rooms were always neatly cleaned, and we encountered no problems during the stay in this hotel. If it were any other city the room would definitely have been considered a bit pricey only due to the size of the room, but considering it's in the heart of London, I think it's hard to find a better deal than this hotel.
Nice cool contemporary Hotel”
We stayed at Z Victoria for one night on a busy weekend stay in London. A nice clean and contemporary hotel, the staff were very welcoming. The rooms are cleverly designed to pack in a lot in a small space, conducive with a more compact lifestyle. My only observations were that, in todays electronic lifestyle, there seemed a lack of outlets for chargers. Perhaps with more time I may have discovered more. The bathroom module was cleverly thought out with a spacious shower cubicle in a chic stylish setting. Excellent value for money, TV and satellite channels, big bed, hot drink station and complementary toiletries. No window in my basement room, but it wasn't missed...the views in London tend to be building sites unless you're willing to pay top price for high level rooms and views of the rooftops of the city. Very pleasant stay in a clean, welcoming hotel. Highly recommended
Great location and free wine!!”
had an absolutely fantastic stay at the z hotel victoria. yes the rooms are small and it did take a bit of getting used to having no window as you didn't know whether it was morning or not but and it's a big but that does not distract from what wonderful service we had in a very modern hotel. from check in until check out we enjoyed the whole experience, everyone was friendly, it had a very cosmopolitan feel to it with the way the eating area was arranged ( small tables looking out of the windows plus one large table in the middle where people from all different cultures could sit and eat together) and the way food was presented. the big bonus for me anyway was that there was free wine, cheese and nibbles served from 5pm!!!! apart from one drink that we had next door we ate and drank there and spent the total sum of all night, which is brilliant considering where we were. we will definitely be going back!
Central location and five star cleanliness”
If you are looking for a hotel room with a view, then this is not the hotel for you. I chose this hotel simply for how it suited my needs. I was arriving very late from another European city to London and needed a hotel next to the stop of an airport bus (which could either come from Heathrow, Luton, Stansted). I'm also very particular about hotel room cleanliness --- comfortable bed and pillows, modern bathroom, digital TV, and a free supply of drinking water. The Z hotel ticks all my criteria. Added bonus was the great welcome drink of a glass of cold rose wine the front desk staff offered me when I checked in. I was very frantic when I checked it cos it was past midnight. I was told there's a happy hour of wine and cheese happening between 5 to 8 pm daily. The hotel's location was perfect central location for all the places I was scheduled to visit. The hotel staff were also very helpful from my check-in, to my stay to checkout. I was pleased I made the right choice on Z
Fine Hotel”
Overall our stay was very good. The hotel is absolutely spotless. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Staff were extremely helpful. Although we didn't eat there the food looked fantastic. There's also some nice perks like free snacks at the tables in the bar area, crisps, popcorn, etc. There are free cans of Coca Cola on the reception desk. Also, there's free cheese and wine for all guests in the evening time. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Right in the centre of Victoria, across the road from Victoria Underground Sation and with 15 mins walk of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the London Eye. There are some drawbacks to the hotel though. The rooms are tiny. We booked a double room. It had no window so you had to have air conditioning on at all times. Also the bed was very small. I will say that I didn't sleep very well for the 3 nights I stayed. However, for the price and location of the hotel I would say that I would return and stay again. We enjoyed our stay overall and I would recommend the Z Hotel for a weekend trip away.
Perfect location for exploring London”
The Z Victoria is situated just feet from train, underground, bus, and coach services, so is ideally located for traveling throughout London and environs. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The evening cheese and wine are a good way to wind down at the end of a busy day, or a light break before an evening concert or show. I would have liked a more comfortable chair in the room,as the bed was quite high and a bit harder than I am used to. I would say it is an ideal place for a couple of nights. My 9 night stay was longer than the average. The "accessible" room could have used a little more thought, although it had the requisite grab bars and toilet height, you have to ask for a shower stool or bench. Anyone in a wheelchair would have been unable to reach the hangers. Also the drawers were difficult to open for someone with limited hand movement. I also question putting the accessible room on the top floor, where any problem with the elevator or in an emergency, descent would be difficult/impossible. But these are minor considerations against major positive attributes; primarily the wonderful, attentive and accommodating staff and the great location.
Great Position”
The Z Hotel cannot be beaten when it comes to its position. It’s opposite Victoria station which has national rail, metro and coach services, is right next to two theatres and a busy shopping/restaurant precinct and is a stones’ throw from Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. There is also a local Sainsbury’s about 10 mins away and a laundromat in Pimlico (15 min walk). Previous reviews mentioned the free cheese and wine as being a nice touch but I was too busy running around London to experience it! The only reason I haven’t given the hotel a 5 star rating is the fact that the room was tiny. I knew it would be small but my bedroom at home is bigger! I don’t think it’s quite the best value for money in that sense and while I managed to navigate the tight quarters (I’m 5’1) I think a taller person or couple would struggle to be comfortable in the space. That said, I stayed for 6 nights and I would definitely go back. Just be prepared for the minimalist use of space!
Perfect!!!”
I serched for a good and afordable hotel in the area of Victoria station. The Z hotel is perfect. I stayed there for one week and they upgraded me the room for free, they provided me fresh water, fruits and a 5 o'clock delicios cheese snack every day, the staff was very friendly and they pay lot of attention to you and your requeats. The rooms are not big but quite comfortable, the bathrooms are very modern and everything is very clean. Near the hotel there is a very good English pub, Victoria pub and the underground, railway and bus station is over the street.
Great short stay hotel”
I needed a place to stay overnight in London as I had a late meting and another one early next day. Z hotel fitted the bill. I just wanted a place to sleep and have a shower. This place passed my expectations. Room was small and had no window but I checked in, went out and didn't get back to 11pm so no window needed. Bathroom area is also small but everything's there. And everything in room is included - so no hidden charges for water (!) and no extra charge for wifi (like many hotels). Decided to stay for breakfast. Better than many hotels and at a coffee shop price. Staff really helpful and polite. Yes, I'd stay there again.
Passing through London for the day.”
My husband and I were passing through London from America, arriving into the UK from Heathrow, and departing to Krakow, Poland through Gatwick. The Z Hotel was extremely easy to get to via the tube direct from Heathrow. The Gatwick Express was then right around the corner the next morning for our flight to Krakow. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area and any tourist venues are also quite easily accessible from the hotel. The only unfortunate point I would make it that my husband is 6'4 and the bed was a wee bit short for him! The staff was attentive and friendly. They gladly held our bags until check in while we went to see the poppies at The Tower of London. Also, great wine and cheese happy hour! We will return in the future!
Modern luxury, minimalistic and clean”
As I booked through Agoda, my check-in was very quick. The staff were friendly and very pretty. They made sure I understood that the hotel had a complimentary wine and cheese every evening at the foyer. Room is small, but very streamlined. Reminds me of modern japanese hotels. Hotel is situated just opposite of Victoria station, making it perfect from/to Gatwick airport. Z Hotel is now my default hotel for London.
Small room but prime location”
we stayed in z hotel for a total of 3 nights. we arrived london central by coach at victoria coach station, which was only an 8-minute walk from the hotel. underground and train station are even closer to the hotel which takes only 3min to reach. so it is really convenient for travellers who plans short excursions from london. walking to the shopping district, i.e. knightsbridge, is about 20min and it was a pleasant walk through residential area. staff at the reception were friendly and very attentive. yes, rooms are very small but given the price we have paid for and its location, it was really value for money. wifi was fast and easy-to-connect. one thing they can remind their cleaning staff do is that they should make sure that no one's in room before entrance (even though we didn't put the dnd sign out). one one ocassion, someone just dashed in without even a knock and it was rather abrupt. but they did a good job keeping the rooms clean.
