"Awesome" is an understatement!!”
we were on a luxury trip to Kerala and planned to stay in the finest. When it was KUMARAKOMS turn, we were confused between few properties, and we are so glad and grateful that we chose zuri. What a service, what a property, what amazing views..just speechless. It was so good!!Just one thing, dot go for basic rooms atlas upgrade to lagoon view rooms for the best experience. Also don't forget to go to the spa as its really one of the best spas of Asia. Thank you Zuri for such memorable holidays<3 Highly recommended.
My wife and me stayed for 4 nights from 27th to31st Oct. In short i would like to say that the property itself is mesmerizing. The entire staff is so polite and friendly. The facilities at the resort are amazing. One does not need to get out of the resort. The Spa , swimming pool , steam, sauna & jacuzzi , the restaurant , The Bar ( exceptional) , the man made lake etc are exceptional facilities which one can enjoy. i wish to thank each and every member of the Zuri resorts Kumarakom.
Great place to unwind and destress”
Tavel time can be daunting if you had a long haul flight to Cochin. Suggest you rest overnight , do a morning sightseeing tour then travel to Kumarakom. The resort staff are just great and the Kerala cuisine available is unbelievable.
nice place to stay”
Zuri Kumarakom has been a great experience in the heart of Kerala. Five stars services right from the first I entered the lobby until they drop me to the airport. Foods are excellent, they served from delicious international to very tasty of local Indian food. Try their dosa on breakfast, highly recommended. Room is very excellent and best place for holiday. Highly recommended.
Excellent Property, Great Experience ”
It is worth to come to Kumarakom and enjoy your stay at Zuri. Excellent rooms with nice lake view and lots of facilities to enjoy in the property. Staff /Cleanliness/Food/Entertainment everything was very good
Good hotel choice in The Backwaters”
Overall the Zuri was a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and sooo comfortable, the setting is magnificent. Sitting beside the lake watching the amazing sunsets was the highlight of each day. You do feel a little bit "captive" and get the feeling management would prefer you not to leave the compound. One night we asked for an auto rickshaw to be organised and it all seemed very hard, had to insist on it or it wouldn't have happened. Breakfasts are great but the dinner buffet is disapointing hence the need for the autorickshaw to go elsewhere. Spa is beautiful but very epensive. We orgainised excellant treatments at the property next door for 30% of the Zuri's prices. Staff were if anything over zealous in helping out. Just a sideways glance in the restaurant or at the pool had them all over you. Might be the kind of service the domestic market insists on but we found it too much. The only time we really wanted attention was at reception which seemed to be the only part of the hotel lacking in staff. Just as well they have rahul there or nothing could be sorted out. Overall it's a good place to stay and with a few little tweeks could be great!
Wonderful Stay wiht a pinch of salt.”
It was a memorable stay, hats off to the designer of Zuri resort. Not a single element was out of place. The food was also fantabulous. I dont understand why the earlier reviewers stated the food was not good!!! The only thing that was off was the fact that during our check out , in the final bill receipt , we were billed for 10th march 2015 dining also, when our actual stay was from 13-15th march.2015. But the staff quickly cleared the same stating some room number mixup. I advice fellow travelers to double check the bill receipt.
Great location. Amazing staff. Zuri was the highlight of our Kerala trip. Thanks Zuri team for the amasing hospitality. Hope to return soon. Special thanks to Mr. Manoj kumar & Sahil.
New year Party”
We had an amazing stay at Zuri with very well organised new year party with singer? anchor and fireworks. The property is beautiful with amazing landscaping and the staff is also wonderful. They do not have kids play area though if you are thinking of coming with small kids. The Spa is amazing and all the rooms are facing the canal. The rooms and toilet need a bit of renovation but overall property is amazing
Lovely hotel that was really relaxing”
Zuri was a lovely resort that really helped us relax and chill out! The staff were prompt and helpful. The rooms were maintained well enough and the grounds were impeccable. The hotel is world class standard. We enjoyed the facilities Zuri offered - yoga classes, pool, spa, shows at dinner. The only negative was probably the food at the seafood restaurant - it had almost the same food offered at The Lime Tree and the wine liest was exclusively indian. Food there was also very average. Having said that, The Lime Tree buffet spread was great - got to try a good spread of Indian food that was really good.
Great staff and great resort - well worth a visit !”
- once we arrived we were welcomed with a drink and friendly staff. - the resort is a great place to relax and chill. The pool and spa area is amazing. - we choose to use spa and couples treatment of scrub, wrap, massage and jacuzzi which was all in a private room. One of the best spas I’ve been too ! - we also hires out a house boat which was a unique experience which we also enjoyed with a private chef on board. The food was really yummy too. - the main thing the staff were amazing especially Neethu front of house who was always there with a smile and info. - breakfast was great too. - we went for a cottage room which was spacious and also had an outdoor shower for an experience (and an indoor too !) - would defo go back !
A highly recommended beautiful resort”
We stayed 2 nights. Our room was a cottage room facing the lagoon. This type of room is larger than the standard. The hotel is not a new one, but very well maintained and very clean. Its location is in the right on the water-back lake, next to a nice village, where you can walk and see the daily life of the people. Using the canals for boating, laundry and so. Renting house-boats are available within 5 minutes wale from the hotel. The pool is lovely. Breakfast is very good, and so is the whole menu at the main dining room. It's a bit pricey, but the food if the best we had during the 2 weeks of traveling south India. The SPA was expansive, so we didn't try it
Amazing experience ”
I would only suggest one thing - one can book this resort with their eyes closed! Superb hospitality, amazing staff, splendid location, facilities and views from resort, good food quality etc. We were travelling with our 15 month old daughter and these guys ensured that we are carefree. From the quality of food they made for her to the warm staff (esp. Shilpa and a couple of others in the restaurant) that played with her. They ensured we had everything required to keep our baby comfortable. We enjoyed their sunset cruise too! The taste of the food was good (can get better). Rates (stay and food) - a bit on the higher side but almost at par with other 5 star properties. All in all - amazing experience.
The resort is set in beautiful gardens around a lake, the rooms were very comfortable with a good view of the lake. All the staff were welcoming and helpful, they made the stay a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the activities available, especially the pool. The food in the restaurant was delicious for breakfast and evening meal. Some areas need a little bit of maintenance such as the swimming pool and the bathroom in the bedroom but it didn’t spoil our stay! Thank you everyone!
Big Clean Resort overlooking Vembanad Lake ”
5 Star resort. Good hospitality. Very clean place. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast good. Lot of activities. But indoor games are limited. Big spa. Nice swimming pool.
Overrated, the food was bad”
This was my second time at Zuri and we had booked two cottages. While the stay was pleasant overall, there is a noticeable drop in standards (compared to my previous experience). Kumarakom is on the countryside and boasts of backwater abundance. When you take the effort to visit a popular resort in a remote location as Kumarakom, you definitely expect much more. In particular, the buffet spread and the quality of food was extremely poor for the charges levied.
Great staff! Very co-operative and polite. Lime tree restaurant was great and the the chef personally ensured that we got authentic kerala food. Excelent stay
Great view, stay and food!”
It was an amazing experience. Stayed with my parents and husband for one night. We were welcomed warmly with coconut water. We enjoyed the numerous amenities they had to provide for us including water rides, boat ride , spa and the gym . Their food was exceptional especially the dosa and chai. Wonderful view to relax in this hectic world!
Excellent property needs maintenance ”
Very nice property and excellent view points. But having said that few things need a check for example the air conditioners need maintenance. The wooden doors badly need to be repaired or replaced, especially of the lagoon view rooms. Staff is cordial and polite but breakfast lay is pretty average. To sum up it is a nice resort but lacks the basics to be given a five star.
Amazing place with nice staff and service”
We had best stay at zuri and facilities are amazing. Will recommend this place for all type of travellers.
