Great experiences in Zuri White Sands Resort Goa”
before going to Goa, we heard a lot of bad experiences from our friend that the hotel where they stayed not as they expected and their holiday become unpleasent experience. While we were searching, we still have this worry and it still have that until we arrived in the hotel. First thing that make our worried slowly dissapear that the hotel design was beautiful starting from the lobby, where friendly hotel staff helping us a lot on taking care our luggages, offering welcome drink, all the check in paper work done while we sitting relax in comfortable sofa. Then we were pleased more when we saw our room which very comfortable with good design and well maintain bath room with power shower, and located strategically in front off swimming pool where we can watch our kids playing in the pool just 10 steps in front of us. The hotel have good garden with kids playground facility and best of all it's next to the beach which very clean, beautiful sunset, and the sand was so soft. Other thing we like was the japanese restaurant which serving good teppanyaki. Some other thing that could be improved further were location of kids club, would be good if located outside hotel employee working zone, more variaty of non-indian food in waterfall restaurant buffet lunch & dinner, and safety concern of falling coconut to the swimming pool. Overall we were very pleased with our holiday in Zuri White Sand Resort Goa, it's actually beyond our expectation. Thanks.
Relaxing family vacation in quiet South Goa.”
We enjoyed staying at Zuri in February 2013. Zuri is located in southern Goa -- which is about a 45 min taxi ride from the airport. The location is fairly remote, so while quiet, entertainment options outside the resort are extremely limited. There are many activities available at the resort and beach (most cost extra) for all age ranges. The resort is somewhat older, but very well maintained and clean. The garden grounds and swimming pool are both expansive and picturesque. The large gardens separate the hotel from the beach, so plan on about a 10 minute walk before you reach the ocean. There is private beach area (sand, really) with a great ocean view on the hotel grounds, but it is physically separated from the actual beach & water. The beach itself was quiet and not at all crowded. The food at Zuri was a highlight -- robust breakfast buffet, and occasional special evening barbeques with various meat options and live preparation + entertainment. Food quality is generally decent, but spices are toned way down for the significant foreigner crowd (many Russian). Food value is average -- drink and meal prices definitely capitalize on the captive audience of a remote location. In all, the resort is nice for a family vacation at a western standard, but falls short of 5-star luxury.
Short stay but lovely”
My mother and I accidently found ourselves in North Goa but quickly made the switch and were very happy with Zuri in South Goa! The room seemed a bit older but pretty nonetheless (except for the doors which appeared to have rotting wood). The food could have been better but wasn't terrible. The beach was very clean and quiet - a lovely way to end our chaotic trip to India! The sunsets from the beach were superb. The spa (steam room, hot tub, sauna) was mediocre at best. The steam room was great, the hot tub was more like a bathtub, and the sauna wasn't working. We had a cockroach in the locker. Not our favourite. Very Russian-friendly resort which worked out for us as we enjoyed their Christmas fireworks on our last night at the resort.
First trip to Goa”
Visited Zuri White Sands in Goa for the first time. The hotel was quite nice and a welcome getaway from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai that I was in for business. The beaches were quiet and serene. The water isn't as clear as the Caribbean seas I'm used to but still most pleasant. I do like the pink sands that cover most of the beach and the overall friendliness of the staff. All amenities were available and the one trip to the local restaurant I did go to (Fisherman's Wharf) was easily arranged. I will definitely make my way here again if I find myself in India again.
Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback and we are happy to note that you had a wonderful experience at our Resort.
Great property ! Good people ! not so great Breakfast :-(”
We had a great time on the whole. With 3 generations of the family all enjoying their time there last weekend ! It's a lovely property, beautifully located and maintained and the main pool with its 100 m winding path, is fabulous Many of the staff we interacted with - specially the Goan employees - were extremely gracious, helpful and friendly. The ladies at the reception could perhaps be given a few pointers on amiability and a gentle reminder that they are after all, in the hospitality industry .. ! But really, this is a minor quibble and noticed only because the others were so obviously hospitable in comparison. One area of complaint however, was the buffet breakfast. A wide spread and definitely a source of joy to visitors from the South of India with idlis, dosas and a range of vegetarian fare. For the rest of us, and Western visitors who looked around in vain for any sort of breakfast cold cuts, or cooked ham / bacon and the like, it was a disconcerting feeling at best. Cheese clearly seemed to be a no-no as well ! When I pointed out to the staff that when visiting a *Goan* hotel, we would expect to be able to actually eat like we *are* in Goa .. they were quickly to rush off and get us some cheese & hams to our table. Which was kind of them .. but this happened only because I brought it up. I noticed a couple of Western & north indian guests looking a tad lost however. Also, while there were not one but *two* types of teas on tap, the coffee was served only on request (why on earth?!) .. and what actually arrived, could put bilge water to shame ! Seriously Zuri team, coffee ?!? Other than this surprising lapse with breakfast, the rest of the experience was uniformly excellent ! Would visit again .. but if I do, I'm getting my own coffee, cheese & bacon !
Excellent stay with minor hiccups”
We stayed at the Zuri with our 18 months old for 3 nights and it was beautiful. We booked the deluxe room which is spacious and very calm with all the toiletries that is required and a fantastic shower with 24hrs running hot water. Due to the ongoing BRICS meet in Goa we had a lot of foreign delegates staying who usually were out after breakfast and we had the whole resort to our selves. Room service is expensive like a tiramisu will cost you 636/- including taxes and so will brownie with ice cream. A mini bar is provided that is chargeable. You have many good food joints nearby and a small shop with some basic items along with alcohol, soft drinks etc named Michael's. PROS: 1) Fantastic property of 37 acres with the largest meandering pool in Goa. They have an additional pool and a baby pool as well , all kept in superb condition. 2) We had such calmness every time as we got the last room on the top to the corner and there was barely any noise. Though the beach is a few minutes walk away we could hear the waves. 3) Excellent house keeping staff and the lawns were maintained in utmost condition. Hats off. Cons: 1) Room needs a little upgrade. It's started to wear out and look tired. As a 5 star you expect nothing but perfection. 2)Food needs to be better . Breakfast at the Waterfall Cafe was average and so was the dinner at the same place. Buffet dinner was charged at 1300 pp plus taxes , we got a 25 % discount. Overall I would definitely recommend this resort if you need to relax and have your own transportation as it's far from other spots in Goa.
I booked Zuri reluctantly on the insistence of my brother-in-law who stayed there. They pleasantly surprised me in every way. The courteous and helpful staff at the reception, the waiters in the restaurant and the ground staff were always ready to help and offer suggestions without being in your face. The property is one of the best in goa. My two night stay made me change my mind and decide to stay there every time I visit Goa. Clean beaches away from the maddening crowd, huge pool area and outstanding landscaping makes it special.
Comfortable, Relaxing, Sporty”
Resort Spread in 37 acres with Private White Sand Beach, Biggest Swimming Pool in Goa and serene & quiet surroundings. Nice place for Spas, Beach Sports, etc. Awesome Breakfast & friendly staff. Overall the property is an awesome place to stay for 2-3 nights. Check-in time can be changed from 3 pm to say 12 noon.
we choose Zuri again.. ”
Our 1st stay around a year back was nice and we loved the property. We had a similar experience this time as well. Zuri Goa is equipped with everything you need to make your trip a memorable one, especially for a family with kids. One thing which was an irritant.. connecting door between 2 rooms is a nuisance if you end up with a loud neighbour and to some extent it compromises your privacy as well. So ensure your room is an independent one and doesn't have a connecting door.
Amazing property on the Beach”
This is n amazing beach resort. The beach (Varca) is a beautiful one and its an effectively private beach for this resort. Although we went there in monsoon season, do the beach shack operated by the resort was closed. But overall the food and the facilities in the resort were good. Specially the bar with seats inside the pool. Rooms were adequately sized and well maintained. The swimming pool is big and nicely maintained. A 24 hour menu is there for room service, specially useful for small kids. They have one main restaurant and one asian/Japanese restaurant inside the resort. Don't expect much from the Casino. Its a dark and confined place, and can be totally avoided by casual onlookers.
Good Relaxing Break ”
Travelled to Goa for a long weekend for rest and relaxation. We were a little apprehensive of this hotel because of its size and because of the Casino, however, it was very quite and if it didn't have 'Casino' in the title we would not have realized it was there. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious and clean. A few negatives: Food and beverages were expensive and not very good, especially food in the beach restaurant was very disappointing. No waiter service at the pool - not a major problem to 'walk' but would be nice to have especially when on holiday. Lots of dogs on the beach - this is not a reflection on the hotel. All in all this met our expectations, an enjoyable stay.
Awesome Hotel and The Pool is just brilliant”
Zuri is a 5 Star category property and they are absolutely good in terms of pricing. Ms. Aldeieda at front desk was highly helpful and helped in getting a room at the earliest. When she cam to know that I have an early morning flight, she also arranged for a complimentary packed breakfast ; which is highly appreciated. Thanks once again for an awesome experience.
Zuri is undoubtedly one of the best five star properties in Goa, far away from the hustle and bustle of main city, this place is for those who want to indulge in all the facilities in-house and have a relaxing stay
Amazing Location and Huge property !”
I have stayed here for 2 Nights with my Family after spending 2 Nights in Rio Resort in North Goa ! Zuri is one of the best 5* Resort in Goa with access to finest beach of Varca. Very large Garden and walkway to beach with lovely landscape ! But the rooms need renovation as they look rundown and small cockroaches were found in the room ! The location of the property with beautiful landscape and stunning beach is the positive part of this resort. Food was not upto 5* standard at all! The breakfast served in the morning was of 3* standard!
Beautiful sprawling property. Easy to escape to a place in one's head where one can imagine our group as the only people around. That's the way I like my holidays. Not at all noisy, and giving one an exceedingly laid back impression. Apparently they have the longest swimming pool in Goa. We were there only for one night, and felt that was way too short a period to really enjoy the facilities, especially as we were upgraded to this really awesome suite. Need to return for a longer break next time ! Areas for improvement : The water pressure in the rain shower was really insipid, and the room vacuuming was below par (though they fixed the latter immediately when we pointed it out)
Lovely resort on a beautiful beach”
This low rise resort is hidden away from the main road and though is on the beach it is quite a walk through the gardens to the actual waters edge! The sand was white and powdery and the sunsets were stunning! We had good food and good service. The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely pool and garden views. The Spa was excellent offering western and Ayurveda treatments and the therapists were very experienced and professional. Would recommend and definitely worth the one hour drive south from the airport.
Zuri Very good Resort ”

Beautiful Resort, kids friendly...”
One of the best stays in South Goa.. kids friendly resort.. kind support staff... need to improve more on hospitality..based on what expected in a good resort..
Great Family Holiday”
Staying at Zuri White Sands was fun. Children enjoyed multiple games and sports. Pool is enormous. However, the rooms were not quite clean; there were hair on the bed. Anyhow, they changed the sheets, once we reported the matter. Overall, great value for money!
Just go for it...the pool...the white sand beach....food...staff...services...........too good....my children loved it. thinking of another stay in future.
