"I made my reservation on September 12 to September 19, and then I extended my reservation to September 26, the hotel is safe and clean and the owner of the hotel is a very respectable man. The crew makes you feel the warmth of family feelings and they are very cooperative. I think five stars are not enough. You should give them ten stars."

"Literally my favourite ever hostel. I have never been anywhere that hits every single nail on the head. When chatting with the owners they are proud of the research that have put into travelling the world's best hostels and amalgamating it all into this one Manila hotspot. Firstly the staff are brilliant, always smiling are truly helpful. Then the facilities are great, always clean and the private rooms would be more than acceptable in most 3 star hotels. Thirdly the food they serve is more than lovely at pretty standard pricing. The most important thing though, and it is what most travellers are after over the cheap prices of hostels, is the atmosphere. Enter the roof top bar. This 6th floor gem has a panoramic view over the city, great music and cheap drinks. It is the perfect location to start your adventures (and that there are plenty available) in Manila!"

"As Manila is so big, so it depends on which area you are exploring that you choose a location. 1 River Central is located in between Ermita and Manila, which was quite convenient for me to travel back and forth, though you really need to take a taxi or jeepneys. Jeepneys are super cheap and fun to travel. I had 8 days in Manila, and before 1 River Central, I stayed at a hotel which costed 50$, but I didnt like it as much as 1 River Central. The hostel was cheap, but very clean and cosy. The dorms beds are with curtain, so can be private and they provided a locker and a small safe. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They provided breakfasts, though not really the best one. At the hostels, I also got to know some travellers with interesting stories. One note for travellers who is going to stay here though that the place is next to a road with heavy traffic, so it is very noisy from early morning. Generally, I love my stay there."

"I was really skeptic about getting to 8Hostel. It is because I read so much negative reviews. However, I went ahead and booked the place. I told myself you get what you paid for. But I was wrong. The place is really nice. It is clean,. Daily cleaning service in the dorms. Plus, you can ask a towel or anything that the facility is supposed to provide and they will bring it to you right away. The staff was amazing; very respectful. I will definitely book this place if i ever happen to be in Manila; and of course I do recommend it to any traveler like me."
