"We opted for Klapa resort for the last 2 nights of our stay in Bali. We were impressed from the get-go. Very courteous and organised staff at the reception had everything ready for us and had a smooth check in. They explained all the facilities at the resort. The room was the most spacious I have seen in any hotel and the golf view was very nice. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large bath tub and an additional shower cubicle. Room had ample storage cabinets. Bed was also comfy. Waking up to the rising sun was our best moment in the room after a sound sleep. Breakfast spread and the quality of food was just ok. This could use a bit more attention from the management. Probably the best part of our stay at the resort was the free access to adjoining Klapa beach restaurant and Dreamland beach, especially in this part of Bali very transportation options are limited, this saves you a lot of time and money. We spent a whole evening at the infinity pool overlooking the sea and sunset served by the most attentive staff which was the high point of our stay. The staff at the resort also arranged scooter on rent and meter taxi on time as requested. Overall we had a great couple of nights at Klapa resort and we were extremely happy with our choice. I would highly recommend Klapa resort to any travellers looking for a good accomodation at reasonable prices."

"At first, I was disappointed with the Haven. It was bad enough that my room wasn't ready upon my arrival, but they stuck me in a slightly depressing room with two twin beds because nothing else was available. (Check out my first impression on my blog To their credit, they offered to move me to a room with a king bed on my second night, and boy am I glad they did! The hotel has two entrances and two sections, and my new room had a more upscale interior design, and it was on the quiet side, near the entrance without heavy motorbike traffic and the one that's closest to the beach. Room No. 2 was comfortable and beautiful: big bathroom, nice poolside terrace and incredible bathroom amenities. My only complaint was that the Wi Fi could be painfully slow, but at least it worked. Of all the four-star Bali hotels I booked on Agoda, the Haven is the one that comes closest to maintaining four-star U.S. standards."

"Although there were some negative reviews mentioning that this hotel was new (not all services were available)and close to a nosiy neighbourhood, I decided stay at this place anyway. No regrets. My three nights there was enjoyable. The staff were attentive, nice and friendly (and yes, they were friendly to Indonesians too, something which is a rare case in Bali hotels). One minor thing was that the room numbering system was a bit confusing. It took me some time to locate my room on my first night. On the third floor, you find rooms starting with 13xx and thought I was on the wrong floor (I stayed at 3306). Rooms starting with 23xx and 33xx apparently were on the same floor too. The arrows on the signposts were also not easy to understand. Perhaps the management could consider changing room numbering system. But apart from that I enjoyed my stay, and would probably stay here on my next business trip to Bali."

"This was my third trip to Bali since first visiting in 1977.I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Bali and would recommend this establishment very highly.Certainly it is a quieter and nicer venue than most (in this price range)in the Kuta area.We preferred to stay a little further out from the bustle and noise of Kuta.It has great grounds and a good quality/size pool. The hotel's shuttle will take you to Kuta but you must make your own way back.A metered taxi costs an average of 50,000 rupiah, (and about US$5 doesn't break the bank). I would recommend it and stay there again.Great shopping can be had between Kuta and the hotel. Nearby resturants are cheap an well worthy of a visit."

"Like most of the hotels in Bali, its always great value for the money, that is, if you come from abroad. The location is a mixed blessing, while its right across from the beach, there is basically nothing to speak of in the vicinity, other than a few seafood places with mediocre service and inflated prices. Staff are great, again, Balinese hospitality!!"

"Our stay was very good for 1 week. Hotel is very well located, walking distance to restaurant, bars and shops. Nice pool on the roof, good breakfast, nice atmosphere in the hotel. You can very easily rent a scooter (definite must in Bali with no exception - bring your international license. You can rent without it with no questions ask but beware of police, they will fine you if you dont have it with one and quiet expensive too). Dont choose the option of renting car or taxi to go to different areas of bali, you ll get stuck in traffic and might ruin your stay otherwise early early morning to go somewhere around 7am otherwise 2hrs in traffic. Bali is definitely a beautiful place (except for traffic which gets to your head in the end), nice and friendly people, nature and rice fields around Ubud with its local craftsmanship (wood, clothes and silver), beaches are alright (have seen better), scenery is nice too around uluwatu wit the cliffs. Nice for diving, excellent waves around cangu area (north kuta) and from time to time for kite surfers. "

"We only discovered the Patra toward the end of our 2 week holiday in Bali. After going for a walk along the beach toward the airport, we stopped at the beach bar for a drink. Jaya who served us was really friendly, and answered a lot if questions we had on the Resort. He even went to reception and brought us back an information pack to go through. We went back to where we were staying (and had already paid for) and discussed the feasibility of spending a bit more and having some luxury for the last few days. Back to the Patra and asked if it was possible to see a room. The lady who we spoke to was lovely, and soon arranged for us to be taken to see 2 different rooms. From there, the decision was easy. I booked through Agoda on the spot (cheaper than direct) from the following day for 3 nights. Best move ever! The rooms were lovely (and quiet), the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was excellent, and all of the staff were fantastic. The next trip to Bali will be straight to the Patra! "
