One of Camiguin's Best ”
The name speaks for itself, as it nestled at the foot of Mt Hibok Hibok with spectacular view of the mountain & an elevated glimpse of the sea. Our recent stay with The View has been one of the best company outing accommodation we had in years. Value for money is a primary factor, given that we have limited budget at the same time a few heads to please. But almost everyone approves and gave a thumbs up for this small 6 bedroom hotel in Mambajao, Camiguin. We literally booked the whole place, as 4 people comfortably occupied their very huge (too big for 4 in fact) suites. Breakfast is good but a bit pricey for its quality. The location is also near Ardent Hot Spring (a 1.5km walk), White Island and Sunken Cemetery, so scheduling a quick visit is good especially if you have very limited time left. What made our stay even hassle free is the very hospitable assistance of Ms. May. She gave us itinerary suggestions & was very attentive to our group's needs. Though the place is very new, they said it's the first phase of their development. I do hope they can add more facilities like pool, full functioning bar or a 24/7 convenience store in the future. They have a billiard table but nothing else to do after your day trip and buying something like drinks or snacks is quite difficult after 8pm. It's a long walk & a motorcycle drive to the town with only few stores open at wee hours. Nonetheless, we will definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Camiguin!
Exceeded expectations; highly recommended!”
Location: > a bit inland so you have to take the local habal-habals if you're eating at restaurants along the provincial highway or if you're heading to Mambajao > gorgeous view of the Camiguin sea and Mt. Hibok-Hibok natural reserve > very quiet at night Rooms: > very spacious and clean > has a veranda where you can relax and enjoy the view > complete amenities (cable TV, bidet on the toilet, hot and cold shower) > no Wifi and cell signal in the rooms, but you can stay at the lounge for as long as you like to enjoy Wifi and cell signal (although they turn the lights off by 10PM) Staff: > very friendly and attentive; they make you feel comfortable and welcome > Ms. Mae always has something extra to give, whether it be in the food they serve, tips on what to visit during day tours, or how to get around Camiguin Food: > delicious breakfast-themed food > restaurant is only open 7AM to 4PM, but you can request for dinner in advance > you can request sandwiches if you go out early
Lovely crew and perfect view”
We went to Camiguin for 2 weeks. This accomodation is nearby Mambajao Downtown. A few min from the airport and nearby the Ardent Spring. The rooms are really big, clean and includes a TV, fridge, big bathroom and a balcony. The crew is really sweet and helpfull. Every morning they serve breakfast included in the price with a beautiful ocean view. There are a lot of choices in the menu. We would really come back if we visit Camiguin again. A recommended accomodation for families, businesstrips and friends.
Quiet, humongous & very clean room”
My husband & I stayed here when we decided to go to Camiguin for a R&R after his Mayana Uphill Challenge. We checked in on April 28 & it was a hassle free upon arrival. We just filled out an info sheet & was given our room key. We occupied Room 1 & holy moly upon entering our room, I was amazed at how huge our room was. Our bed was california king & can actually sleep up to 4 people. Room was immaculately clean & there was so much room to move arnd. There was a 2 seater wick seatee. Bathroom was also clean complete with bath towels, hand towels & face towels. Bath/shower room is separated from powder room. We rented a scooter to be able to go around the whole town for P400 for a day & put p200 full tank gas. We only went to see white beach sand bar & the Ardent Spring on our second day in the Camiguin. It was too hot to visit the other landmarks so we agreed not to go anywhr else but spend rest of afternoon in our cool room.
Luxurious yet affordable Hotel in Camiguin ”
Staff is very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Manager/owner on duty is very friendly and approachable. She is generous with our extra hour of extension because we check out around 1pm instead of 12. The overall facility is top notch, they have mini bar, billiard table, karaoke podium and swimming pool. Their room is very spacious and clean, every inch is at its pristine condition. They have veranda which you can have a relaxing view. Not to mention their breakfast is delicious and having generous serving. Towels, bed and upholstery looks brand new and not worn. I highly recommend this hotel. It is nearby Ardent Hot Spring. Certainly a place away from home. Shoutout to the manager : Thank you so much Madame. I'll make sure that I'll stay here during my visit in Camiguin. Two thumbs up for this hotel.
Wonderful Stay”
We stayed at The View for 3 nights early April 2019. The hospitality of the owner and staff was amazing and made our stay. Complementary breakfast each morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The hosts arranged a scooter rental for us for our stay and offered suggestions where to visit during our stay. Room was clean and large. Make sure to wake up early to see sunrise from the rooftop deck and enjoy some evening drinks in the lobby bar. Overall we loved our stay at The View and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Camiguin!
Awesome Getaway ”
Firstly Camiguin Island is amazing. The View is very close to the airport off the main highway. It's location is up high so you get the beautiful "views". May (one of the owners) is really helpful helping us plan our trips and helped us hire a bike. She went out of her way to make sure the wifi was always working and always asked us how our day was. Would highly recommend The View and can't wait to come back next time :).
excellent views and stay ever!!!”
honest staff!they return the expensive camera of my son that he left at the wine bar!the views are awesome!we had a great night stay, very quiet clean room the pillows were very soft and ohhhh i love the bed,its huge!!!we had a wonderful sleep!we sure we will stay again this hotel!!!they only need more staff to serve the guests needs specially at the restaurant and needs also a bigger sign at the main road,we were lost for an hour looking the location,!!the owner were vere very friendly and helpful,i highly recommend this hotel to all who were planning to visit Camiguin!!!
Wonderful Vacation”
Clean, modern, and new! If you’re looking for a private, and quite place, this is your vacation get away. We arrived early on the 7AM flight. The staff got us in our room by 8am with no waiting. Our room came with Breakfast, which was very good. After getting settle in our room, the staff was very helpful in planning our day, and we got to see all the sites of the island. We had a nice 4 night stay – No complaints! I highly recommend a vacation at TheView Hotel.
Refreshing location for a typical island province”
Where most of the resorts offer a view of the seas, this place is a perfect twist to your typical island adventure. Coming home to a relaxing view of the Camiguin lushes and mountains from the hillside complements your Camiguin adventure. The owners/hosts were very accommodating. The beds were big, linens were good, room was quite spacious with balcony and good ventilation. Highly recommended.
Great Value”
Rooms are spacious and clean. They make up room daily. Breakfast also good. Awesome view highly recommended! Will surely stay here again if I'll be back in Camiguin!
Good Job”
For a Camiguin accommodation, all in all it was a decent and pleasant stay. Location is away from the main road, which has a great view of the ocean and Mt. Hibok hibok at the back, the location made the hotel very quiet and peaceful which really slows down your mind and relax. It is a small hotel about 6 rooms only. Food was terrific and delicious, a bit pricey though. The room was clean, pillows needs to be changed because they were too thin. Staff are very attentive to your needs, they are kind, polite and courteous. Amenities are scarce you have to go around the island to do some activities. Overall, 7/10.
Fantastic stay”
We had a lovely 3 days at the View. The hotel is beautiful and has stunning views of surrounding area. Our room was huge, with a very comfortable bed, tv, great aircon and fan and a HOT shower! This was the first we’d had since being in the Philippines. There is also a pool with nice area to relax. Mae and her staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is included which was a good start to the day. You will need a moped to get around and they will hire you one at a really good price. The only negative is that the WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms and where it does work it’s very intermittent.
Exceptional”
The owner and staff were exceptional. We arrived rather late due to the boat leaving Mindanao. Transportation to the hotel was by luck, being so late at night. The hotel is about a half hour ride away. We enjoyed the views from our room and the dining area. They had scooters to rent at a reasonable price and they helped with arrangements to get back to the pier for our boat back to Mindanao. All in all an enjoyable place to stay.
A nice small hotel”
The hotel is nice, and located really close to the airport and the fairy terminal. The rooms are big but unfortunately are not that clean and filled with ants and other insects, in addition to that the rooms are dark and it is quite depressing at the evening. The hotel owner is really nice but since the hotel is really small everything is closed at around 20:00. The breakfast is ok. Staying in this hotel force you to hire a motorcycle since the hotel is located quite far from the main road (in camiguin you probably have to do it anyway though). The hotel is nice but is quite expensive comparing to other hotels we saw, probably will take a hotel that is located on the beach if well ever come back there.
Perfect stat and all expectations met”
The stay at the hotel was exactly how I expected it to be, if not better. I arrived much earlier than the check-in time, which posed no problem at all and the staff checked me in right away. The location of the hotel is private, quiet with a sublime view; as I appreciate nature view than a beach view (although you can see the beach not that far away from the room window). The room was spacious, clean and very livable, although at times the Wi-Fi was better upstairs. Food was excellent and the time at the restaurant was quite professionally executed, compared to the service at other restaurants I visited. Overall, I wish I could have stayed longer and will certainly make this my hotel of choice the next time I come and visit.
Exceptional”
Beautiful property perched up on the side of a mountain with an unforgettable view of the ocean from the balcony. The room was huge and spotless (with a/c and hot water). The staff was very accommodating. Motorbikes for rent at a very fair price. Incredible value for what I payed. I had a very relaxed time, would definitely return.
the hotel room and view were excellent!!!”
i booked 3 rooms,my whole family was with me,everybody was happy and got a good sleep, the room were very clean, the bed was great and big, wow!the view around were spectacular,we love it!room was very cheap maybe because we were lucky we got the promo price!the only thing we complain, they need more staff to accomodate services to the guest specially at their restaurant.the owner was very helpful and friendly, ill stay this hotel on the next camiguin vacation, hopefully they will put up a bigger sign at the main road so the guest wont be lost
Excellent Hotel Accomodation”
The hotel/ place is near airport, you’ll just need a transpo prepared as there are few tricycle that are going on the area, i think they normally use a motorcycle and people at the airport will help you will this, they did with us. The view is fantastic. The service they provide is exceptional, the food is great! The room is huge and i was not even expecting that. If you want to relax and forget work, this would be the perfect place. 100% recommended ☺️
Had a great time here”
I spent a week here with my girlfriend. I took the superior room with a king size bed. The room is huge. Staff is friendly and helpful, room service is good. Very nice ocean view from rooms and the cafeteria area. Breakfast was great. We were able to rent a motorbike for the week, and that gave us lot of freedom to explore the island. The hotel has only 5 or 6 rooms and most were unoccupied during our stay there, which meant a very quiet, almost private experience. We didn't try the pool as there are hot springs nearby. Most glaring con for most people is going to be the lack of wifi in guest rooms; it's only available upstairs (and even then it's very slow). That said, for me I found it nice to disconnect a bit and enjoy a bit of time off the internet for once. TV/cable box combo had an issue where it would switch to black and white randomly. Also, ants and lizards everywhere, but that is fairly standard fare in Philippines in my experience.
