Nice hotel with some glitches...”
TheWit is a very good hotel, centrally located in the Loop area, close to Michigan Avenue, with very big rooms and a very interesting rooftop that offers some possibilities for the evenings. The bad points are related to the fact that some rooms overlook the railway (the actual "loop" that goes around in the center of Chicago) so they tend to be quite noisy. Special mention goes to the internet connection, maybe it's just me, but I find that having to pay for internet in the rooms is a bit out of order in 2015. Especially when staying at expensive hotels such as this one. There are some "free areas" in the premises, but really free internet should be anywhere. This is actually the point that got me the most because in a country where you gett free hotspots almost in any restaurant/fast food/store not having it in a 200 euro per night hotel is quite strange. Apart from this staff was great and generally speaking TheWit is a good hotel.
Very good experience ”
We were in Chicago for just 2 days and theWit was so well located. We managed to run out and get some shopping done although that was not on our agenda, because it was so easy to walk to the shops on State St. We were checked in very efficiently and were given a good sized corner room which was very comfortable.
Excellent”
The staff is very kind and helpful and the location is great. You are steps away from the Chicago Theater and very close to various public transportation. Be aware that the roof top bar and restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. This was not mentioned in the website. I also felt that changing $6 for a bottle of water left in the room was a bit excessive. I would also recommend reservations for the ground floor restaurant, LakeState. We tried to get seated at 5:30 pm on a Sunday and were told we couldn't get in at all that night without a reservation.
Excellent hotel with great rooftop bar”
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, great staff that were very helpful with anything we needed, amazing junior suite and renowned as the best rooftop bar in Chicago
Great Location ”
In the centre of Chicago, so it is easy to go anywhere. The rooms was quite comfortable, and the service was also excellent.
Great location in the heart of the City”
Great location close to shopping inside the loop. Clean room with a river view and friendly staff. They have a nice restaurant in the lobby with local/craft beers and the view from the rooftop is amazing (although it is pricey up there). Valet was also very expensive ($58 a night) so factor that in if you are driving into town.
Very well located”
OUr stay was fantastic, there were three of us in a suite, and it made our "home away from home" a lovely place to come rest while we planned more activities. The location is fantastic, restaurants, shops, walgreens, theaters and the L train all close by. Only two blocks to Michigan avenue where all the museums and parks are! 20 minute walk to the magnificent mile for shopping! We loved it.
Great location”
Perfect for visiting the city. Easy access to the train and free monorail. Plenty of restaurant choices around. The lounge upstairs in the hotel is relatively quiet until it turns into a nightclub. Easy to access as a hotel guest. Good WiFi in the rooms, although difficult to connect in the lobby. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wonderful hotel and spacious room”
I arrived early (around 10:00 a.m.) and was able to check in early without any problems. Front desk was wonderful and accommodating. The room is fantastic - very spacious and nice. The hotel is modern and yet very cozy. The location is fantastic - very convenient to all major offices, restaurants and shopping. I would definitely return and stay at the Wit the next time I am in town. Highly recommended the hotel.
Very pleasant stay”
Nice hotel and OK value for money, bathrooms in need of a renovation with more selection of toiletries but other than that everything was 4 star quality.
Nice centrally located hotel”
Nice! Except that bar on the top floor attracts a whole lot of noisy drunk people to collect around the hotel foyer. A little scary.
Nice boutique hotel ”
Love this hotel!! Great location!! Great concierge!! Great room!!!
Steps away from L train and close bus ride to Soldier Field”
Was in town to catch a bears game and this place was perfectly located. It's possible to walk to the stadium if you wanted. Right off the train from Midway Airport.
Relaxing with good amenities. ”
Excellent. I had no problems with the hotel. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to someone.
A great experience!”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very friendly and helpful staff!”
Our stay was great. The staff was very helpful and always friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved it and reccomend it!”
Stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed the location and the service.
Busy”
Room was not too clean and not too quiet. Did not want to pay for wifi. Should have been included in room cost.
Nice hotel in the strategic location”
I was stayed during 3 night, with good experience... but difficult to parking
