Comfortable, clean and a great location”
my stay in the hotel is a very comfortable one and great value for money. this is a full-featured hotel with facilities like steam bath, sauna. you can also pamper yourself with a massage or the soothes away the aching leg muscles with a foot massage. this hotel is also a short hop to the busy marketplace cho dalat. the place is bustling with activities as early as 6am. the cool air and the great views makes dalat one of the most memorable stay in vietnam.

Great Value in central Dalat”
This is an excellent place to stay if you don't need fancy, but just a great value hotel in the center of Dalat. The staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Laundry is a reasonable price, and lots of great food options nearby. An easy walk to pretty much everywhere. Breakfast is not great, so we always went out to eat for Bfast.

Great value for money, very clean hotel”
We have stayed here many times and it is a humble place, not fancy at all, but it is a great value for money. It is a very clean place and the entire staff is helpful and friendly. There is a bit of construction currently but in spite of that our room is very quiet. The rooms are typically very spacious and everything is in good working order. I highly recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive but clean and safe place in Dalat.

Lovely room, view of lake and town, near market”
Room was excellent, staff arranged what was requested, but did not make the visitor aware of choices, for example in alternative bus arrangements for an ongoing journey. They did however provide key information needed to make a good decision about how to get to see the aspects of local culture that I wanted to see. Restaurant staff were friendly, but the hotel breakfast was geared to local rather than international tastes and did not offer a great deal of choice, and also staff reaction seemed rather sharp to the accidental breakage of an ashtray. The location of the hotel was excellent, however, providing great views of the city and proximity to the market, lake and the centre of town. The hotel itself was very well appointed and spotless. I liked the provision not only of an electric jug, but also a teapot and a little jar of lotus tea. This made me feel very welcome.

overall my stay at the gardenia wasn't great. there were a lot of pros but the cons were too much. there were children playing in the hallway right outside our day for the better part of the evening. sure most people aren't in their hotels at that time but i unfortunately fell ill and was in the hotel at that time. even after i poked my head out the door and asked them to leave they didn't go very far. also the walls are really thin and during the night we could hear the sounds from the cafe above such as furniture being dragged around. (side note: my friend thought that the espresso there was the best she'd ever tried.) we finally had to switch rooms because it was too noisy and we thought a lower floor wouldn't be as bad. unfortunately the room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. the smell got stronger as we stayed there so it made me think that someone was smoking nearby. however, i was too sick and tired to pack up and move again. the beds were hard as rock. the second bed we stayed in shocked me at how hard it was when i jumped into bed. the staff were lovely though even their english wasn't the best. at one point i had to use google translate to help some indonesian tourists who were staying there.

Good Room but Bad Service”
I booked the standard double bed for 3 nights. I arrived late at the hotel from HCM (7 hour bus ride) on my first night about 12.30am. The hotel reception was pre-informed that I would be delayed and to keep the room available for me on arrival. They acknowledged but the night shift reception guy gave the room to another patron. He put me in shabby motel to stay the night which made me extremely unhappy. I made it known they reception people had to give me my room for the next few days or I will demand a full refund. I managed to get my room very next early morning after a lousy breakfast spread at the banquet. The breakfast has a poor selection of choices that the small eateries beside the hotel triumphs over. Wouldn’t suggest you go for the breakfast and just pay for the room. The 1st night aside, the room was great with a balcony. Bathroom was clean and big too. The location of the hotel is not far from the city centre where the main hustle and cafes are, easy accessible taxis to anyway from the hotel for around VND 50,000. Bikes are for rent if you feel adventurous to go it on your own. Reception people speak passable English. I would recommend this hotel only if you take all the necessary precautions to ensure your room is available to you. I will consider other hotels in the area if I ever step into Da Lat again.

Spacious Lovely Vietnamese hotel ”
Great location, reasonable price, beautiful rooms. There was nothing much we could ask for except that this hotel was catered more for Vietnamese tourists. The was less than 200m from the night market and the centre.

Unfriendly staff”
The hotel is located close to a good restaurant call “V café” and 10min walking to the city centre. The room was clean but the receptionists were very rude and unfriendly, they can´t hardly speak English so its very difficult to communicate with them and they are not flexible at all to help you. The breakfast is terrible!! Greasy and smelly bad Vietnamese food, not even the milk was good. I do not recommend this hotel at all, there are cheaper and better options in Dalat than this hotel.

Handy location, but a little disappointing”
The hotel was in a good location for exploring DaLat. The room was quite spacious and had a little balcony. Overall, the service was somewhat disappointing - staff very not overly helpful or professional. Next door is a vegetarian cafe.

Clean tidy ”
The location is really nice, just behind Da Lat new market, takes 5 minutes only for walking, the staff is friendly and helpful, the bad is quite big and comfortable, really love it, will come back this hotel for my next trip to Da Lat

502 - room with a view”
nice size room, with all the little extras, good size bathroom, the place is an absolute rabbit warren, with lifts and links all over. "Coffee" on the 6/7/8th floor, can also be accessed by non-residential down a long passageway adorned with plastic vegetation from the street, then a lift going directly up to the cafe, where we found breakfast, lunch and dinner with views overlooking the roofs of the town, also local wine at 155 a bottle.

We were upgraded to a bigger room on the second day as the shower recess in the first room was not flush against the wall and the water seeped out and flooded the floor of the bathroom and did not drain away so you were walking in water all the time. However the staff were very good and transferred us to a room with a proper walkin shower recess and were very apologetic. This room was very big with a separate sitting area. The breakfast is very basic with very little choice, no fresh milk only condensed. However, despite these inconveniences I would stay there again, reserving a deluxe room.

I cant give this place a good review”
Very dissapointed!! This hotel could be much better than it is. Dalat is a cold place especially at night, the total lack of any heating in this hotel was a shock. The staff in the lobby were wearing coats and hats which i though was because the door was occassionally opened, it turned out the ntire hotel was the same temperature. The bar on the top floor was absolutely freezing, nd in my room a severe draught came through the closed windows. I generally do not feel the cold, back home in france i wear shorts in the winter when i go out, but i expect the building in which im staying to be warm. Getting out of bed in the morning was the same sensation as if i was camping. When booking this hotel there were others with the same star rating at a cheaper price and actually in the center of the town, i however was persuaded by the hotels listing as having a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. it did but was by far the most dingy, run down, un-maintained and coldest part of the hotel. It is situated in the basement/garage and did not feel like a luxury, more of a trment!! I can not find adequate words to describe how bad it was. I cant decided if it is the worst place i have stayed in, the other contender was in gulfito in costa rica which had no shower head on the shower, no toilet seat, a toilet that didnt flush, two planks of wood as the support for the mattress and quite a few flies. It was however warm enough to sleep and only cost 2 dollars. Its a tough call!!
