We stayed at Thiri Thitsar for 2 weeks. The staff are very professional and they made sure that our stay was most enjoyable. They are so pleasant and friendly, have good English and are always ready to help. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with good facilities. The pool is a good addition and the breakfast menu includes both local and Western choices. The hotel is in a quiet location and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. We were able to hire a motorbike from the hotel. When we go back to Mandalay, we will be very happy to stay there again.

O found this place by accident and expected nothing. But when I entered my room I fell in love. This hotel is in a green and quiet area near Mandalay Hill and some other top sights. You can walk by feet around and explore another face of Mandalay. I enjoyed it so much.. The palace is only a 15min walk away. Nice neighbourhood. My favourite place to be in Mandalay. I regret to stay only for two nights. Super furnished room. Super clean. Not smelly. Great breakfast. The pool is super. Always clean. The staff is a bit more special than in other hotels because they all have a glow. I am in love with this Hotel and if you want a quiet place after busy sightseeing and noisy Mandalay, this is your place.

Reasonable Price and Clean Hotel with Excellent Location ”
Thiri Thitsar is a stand-alone building on 21st street. The hotel premises and room is clean. It is 10-minute walk to the main 19th street where there are lots of street food and market. The staff are hospitable and try to help as much as possible. Highly recommended hotel to stay in.

Awesome Stay”
Spent 2 nights here and its awesome. The hotel is near to the palace and a few good food place, and the hotel staffs are very helpful. When we get down OK Express bus, the staffs are already there to help us to carry our luggage. Hotel is super clean and have plenty of spaces in the room, and the rooms feels luxury than the money we spent. When we check out at 12pm, the hotel staff do ask about our departure, and offered us to use their gym's bathroom for free before we departed from Mandalay at 8pm. They made sure that we have smooth and comfortable departure from Mandalay and that's really some things to us.

nice newish hotel in a quiet spot. short walk to Mandalay Palace, 5 - 10 mins. Hotel offers a very good buffet breakfast. Rooms are large, clean, and good water pressure.. However, even with air. con on all night our room did not really cool down. Pool is very nice. DO visit the unique myanmar rest. if you stay, its only a 10 min. walk, has good food, and also offers a free puppet show at 7pm each night.

Wonderful quiet location within short distance to Mandalay Palace and Mandalay Hill. Several excellent restaurants close by if you wanted to venture out. Quite safe to do so. We used tuk Tuks for transport - very cheap. Had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is not far from the main road. Close to the Mandalay palace. You can go to the roop top to see sun riase and sunset. Clean room. Good service especially at the restaurant.

the hotel is in a quiet residential area but very near to Mandalay Hill and the vicinity. its a better-than-basics hotel so dont expect too much. toiletries can be better. the room is very spacious (we had the ones with the balcony - it was too hot to enjoy the balcony and also the balcony was empty of any furnishing -not so conducive for enjoying the space).

Comfortable business hotel, popular with Chinese tour groups”
Arriving quite late in the evening after a long drive from Yangon for a quick one night stay on-route to Chin state, this hotel offered the perfect respite for the night. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast decent, not superb, but offered several choices. For the price paid I think it was a very acceptable place to spend the night. Would I stay again? Yes. That stated, it's highly likely I would try out some of the many other hotels in Mandalay first, as there are so many choices. For those wanting to explore the Royal Palace, this hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk away.

Best hotel ”
The location may seem off path at first as it is in a residential area with a muddy road beside. However , it is actually within walking distance to the palace and other pagodas. The hotel is new , with free cocktails in the evening by the pool. The room is comfortable and big but the toilet drainage system is poor. It was always flooded after I bathed. When we were there, renovation was still going on but since we were out most of the time , it was not a big deal. But it will be real annoying if u are in. The breakfast is standard. However, this is so far the best , cleanest , comfortable hotel I have stayed in Myanmar.

We were only in Mandalay for one day, but we were close to lots of fun things. We were able to rent a scooter, visit Mandalay palace, have lunch at a nice restaurant, visit Mandalay Hill and the two pagodas at the bottom of the hill and super at another nice restaurant. Wished we had time to visit the nice looking golf course we saw from the top of the hill.

This hotel is one of those finds where the reality is even better than what shows in the pictures. The swimming pool was a fantastic way to wrap up a day of sightseeing and the restaurant (always open) was superb. I save special mention for the breakfast buffet which blew me away, I looked forward to it every morning. Hotel desk staff extremely helpful, all spoke excellent English. The room itself is the nicest one I've found in Southeast Asia in this price range. I stayed six nights and wish it could have been more.

Exceptional staff and a lovely stay.”
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed all of it. The staff was super friendly and super helpful the entire time. There was construction/remodeling going on and so when we could hear it above our room at check-in, they simply moved us with no issues. My wife had an important business call via Skype and the staff made sure she could do it with a strong enough WiFi signal, even if that meant using their mobile phones. We will most definitely stay again if/when we pass through again. Also, one of the taxi drivers, Jo, who has a “slow season” contract with the hotel, acted as our tour guide for the day and he too was fantastic.
