I would definitely recommend this hostel to other travelers. The environment is really fresh and the vibe there is also free. They also offer the dessert like bread ,cake,and coffee as the afternoon tea which is also nice. The room is neat and clean,although it would be better to have a curtain for personal privacy. More importantly, the staff-Robbi,is so helpful and friendly who help me take my luggage several times! Thanks a lot~Robbi :) appreciate it! Overall,Thunder bird indeed is a lovely place for backpacker.

This hostel has a great location. It is very close to lots of good and cheap restaurants. The hostel has a calm vibe and feels very safe. Overall all the facilities are very modern which is nice. The bathrooms and rooms are extremely clean and the beds are very comfy. The WiFi here is excellent. I enjoyed chatting with Fern, Sally, Grace, Mew and Hannah. They are very caring staff. The owner is also an inspirational businesswomen and very nice to talk to! Overall a really good/calm place to stay in Chiang Mai.

Nice hostel with pleasant staff”
I love the interior design and arrangement of this hostel. Just a comment though on the beds, a little privacy (perhaps some curtains) will be better :) There's a free simple breakfast, and the staff were all pleasant to help us with our tours and navigation within the city. Will stay here again soon when I visit Chiang Mai. :)

Stylish hostel in an awesome location”
While not the most social place in the off-season, the location of the hostel means that there's plenty to do and see within walking distance. I booked a female dorm bed, and was lucky to have the room all to myself. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the rooms was quite spacious for a dorm. This was also the cleanest hostel I'd ever stayed in! A lot of care and thought was put into the design of the property, which was a nice touch. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the rooftop deck to watch the sunset. The free breakfast offered is just toast or cereal — but the market directly across the road has a wide selection of fruit, smoothies and Thai food to keep hungry travelers happy.

I could live there for a month easily”
This place was exactly as beautiful as in the pictures. The location was excellent. It was right across the alley from a little market. Right down the way from tons of awesome shops and the temples. The staff was super friendly, very attentive and helpful. Thier English was excellent too. There was even one morning that I had to rush out for a tour and left my change with the barista. I totally forgot about it but they brought it back to me that night. They did our laundry. The service was super quick and easy. I couldn’t believe the price for what we got. It was so clean and trendy. We stayed in a private room for 3 people. I would absolutely recommend this place and I will absolutely stay here again when I come back to visit Thailand.

The best hostel I've stayed in, full stop! (exclamation mark!) really though, well situated, 5 minutes from Zoes and Spicy. Yet quiet and chilled within. Great staff, good bar with happy hour. Hot showers, nice playlist. 11/10 would stay again.

Beautiful space but the facility should be improved.”
We stay in a triple room, the room has a good view, but there still have some problems, the first, We don’t have enough space to put our luggage on, just have a chair and a TV cabinet. The second, when we taking a shower, the water flows out of the room easily, and it become quite danger to use the bathroom.

Very nice place with lots of attention to detail. Breakfast was not great, the private room was a mattress on the floor and overall it wasn't great value for money. But I still loved it!

Este hostel que por fuera deja mucho que desear dado la calle donde se encuentra pensé lo peor cuando llegue, pero al entrar es una maravilla realmente lindo; con una mini cafetería, los espacios comunes muy acogedores y limpios, el personal amable y dispuesto a ayudar con dudas etc, el desayuno estaba bien: 2 tipos de cereales con leche, café, té, de fruta plátano, pan opcion normal y molde, mermelada, mantequilla, tienes un refrigerador con la opcion de guardar cosas si lo necesitas, las piezas no me gustaron mucho ya que la cama no era muy cómoda y no tenían cortina lo que lo hace poco personal el espacio todos te miran y no había espacio donde dejar tu bolso , si tenían locker (que debes llevar tu candado) pero era muy chico como para dejar bolso solo te cabe lo escencial, de todas formas volvería sin duda al lugar 😉
