Pleasant stay except for an unexpected incident”
initially, we booked for 4d3n stay in this guest house at agoda and was originally planning to look for another place to stay for the rest of the 10 nights we will stay in puerto princesa. arriving at the airport, i immediately saw a tia mers staff holding a placard/signage with my name on it and our trip to the airport was short and comfortable. upon check-in, we were happy to be given a room with a bathroom inside since we paid for the room with common bathroom. with their kindness, courtesy and given the price, we decided to stay in this place until the end of the trip. the location was not near the road so your assured you will have a good sleep because you wouldn't hear vehicles passing. another thing is its proximity to the robinson's mall. it is just walking distance so you can easily get your groceries or other necessities you might need. the room is nice and comfortable. the ac works well, the tv is small but its fine, the bed is decent. overall, the room was more than enough for us. they also offer free set breakfast with a menu you can choose from the night before. what we liked about it is their flexibility in terms of the time they will prepare our breakfast. if we have a tour early then they will prepare our breakfast early and knock on our door to inform us. they also arranged for most of our tours like in the underground river, island hopping, etc. and unlike most hotels, we didn't think they overpriced the tours. it was really convenient for us. the incident that i was talking about is that the one guest beside our room had lost her ipad and around 10-16k of cash but we were glad the management was quick to inform the police and the incident was immediately investigated. all in all, we really had an enjoyable and pleasant stay and surely, we will consider to stay again at tia mers guest house and would recommend it to all budget conscious travellers like us.

We have chosen Tia Mers Guest House because at the time we view the choices it was available and affordable.Our stay was quite simple yet elegant. The location is accessible and peaceful. The service was great and the hotel attendants were nice.We booked for an overnight stay only but as we have observed and enjoyed our stay, we have decided to spend the whole duration of our stay in Palawan at Tia Mers Guest House.More Power!

Great value for your money”
Tia Mers is a great place with very affordable price. Quality is not compromised in spite of the affordability. Their staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are clean and what's more? They are very considerate. Our flight was in the evening. Check out was supposed to be at 12:00 noon but they let us stayed without additional cost until pass 5:00pm. The minor challenge for this guest house is the transportation because it is a bit far from city proper. Other than that, everything was great!

a nice guesthouse in puerto princesa”
Our flight from Manila was delayed for almost an hour but Kuya RK(???) and his friend patiently waited for us in PPS airport. upon arriving in the airport, we weren't expecting a car to pick us up from the airport cos we thought that we'll be riding a tricycle instead. They upgraded our room from a standard type to a cottage room without an additional cost. The room is big enough for two persons, airconditioned and with a hot shower. Our booking also included a nice set of breakfast. Though the gueshouse is a bit far compared to other hotels/hostels in the area, i think it is still pretty accessible as there are many tricycles passing in the area. The place is situated in a quiet neighborhood so you can expect a noise-free stay in Tia Mers. For barely 300-350/pax per night (promo from agoda), I think we were able to a get a good deal from this guesthouse. My friend can't stop gushing how good the accomodation was. :) Definitely recommended!!!!

Great value hotel.”
Both my partner and I were really pleased with our stay at Tia Mers. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice atmosphere. The best thing about the hotel was its value for money. We booked 2 nights through Agoda and were pleased to be offered the same rate again when we opted to stay an extra night. The location may be a little far from town, but it's within 5 minutes walk from Robinson's mall which has lots of shops, restaurants and a cheap cinema. If you want to go to town, the staff will get you a trike there for 50p. I'd say this hotel is perfect for people who are on a tight budget, but still want luxuries like air con.

Good value for money”
We enjoyed our short stay at Tia Mers, the friendliness of the staff members, and the help of the owner. The only problem was the air conditioner (too loud) and mosquitoes (especially during nighttime). The Guest House is also a bit far from the main road, but we liked the countryside-like surrounding.

Great service and very affordable”
This is my first time to book via Agoda and I'm glad to have tried it with TiaMers guesthouse. Their rates apart from being inclusive of breakfast, also includes pickup and drop-off to the airport. The bed is very comfortable and the airconditioning is top-notch. The staff is very accommodating and knows Palawan very well. The location being very near the high-way (fronting Hotel Centro) is also perfectly fine. I'd be staying here when I come back to Palawan again and I highly recommend the place.

OK for budget room”
It's about 500-700m down Nadayao road on the left, you will see a sign. There are 2 pension houses, Tia Mers is the one on the left. It's quite small, on one level with a bar and reception at the front. The superior room is simple, nothing attractive inside, but it's OK for a budget room. Bathroom (C.R) was a little dirty, slimey tabo scoop, but OK. There's a hot and cold water machine available and drinks at the bar. It's a peaceful place and quiet. Breakfast is adequate in size. The service Trike is double the normal price, but if you have bags you are forced to use it, unless you walk to the road. If you are looking for a budget room near Robinsons mall, this is suitable!

NIce Service”
For a quick stay I think we were able to got the most for what we pay for. They were accommodating that they allow us to check out late since we have an evening flight out of Puerto Princessa. Apart from a late check out the've also allowed for an early check-in. As per the room and bathroom both were clean with good running water. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The only downside I guess is the location as it is quite from a the main road but they have a transport service to and from the airport so it was still fine.

Great service with the reasonable price”
We booked only 1 night here via Agoda but turned out more 6 nights staying here. The owner was really nice. She upgraded us to a cottage room. The price is already included free airport pick up and breakfast. Wifi is fine. Finally, they offered us a free drop at the airport as well. Can't be better. The cheapest but best hotel in Palawan so far!

You will be served more than what you paid for”
-Quiet place as the location is pretty far from the highway but you could ride a tricycle from the guest house. -Room given to us was spacious, there's a double deck so I just put my things there and my companion was using the cabinet, so we have our own area to put our things. -Food, they will adjust to your time when do you want to serve your breakfast, Also they ask what breakfast do you want as per menu since they're not buffet breakfast but atleast breakfast was included. -Wifi is good. -Comfort room- I'm keen on the cleanliness of the C.R. It's quite clean but I think they can improve more. First day, I saw dead cockroach! - Staff if accommodating, they will assist you with a happy face. There is just an incident we ran out of water in our last day. Once I informed them they take an action instantly. It so happened they only provide a hose in the bathroom as they something broke in there tank etc.. So sadly no more warm water for shower. Overall, Highly recommended for budget conscious.

best bang for buck stay!”
this was the best value for you money. very accommodating staff, the management also gave us the cottage even though we booked the standard. i guess they do that do that to guests since guests rarely travel during lean season. those extra benefits are well appreciated. i would definitely come back here even though it is a little bit far from the main town but the value for your money is worth it.

lovely hotel with a smile”
the guest house is very good better than a lot of hotels we've stayed before. the room was good and the bathroom was in very good condition. everybody was very nice and welcomed us with a smile and a cold juice. the breakfast was good not a lot but enough to start the day. the location is not very good and you have to walk at night on a dark and muddy road. in the morning they even took us to the airport.

really liked the room here, lots of space and everything worked perfectly, no problem, the wifi was pretty terrible but a lot of the wifi in palawan is quite bad, the hotel is is about 10 minutes from rizal and fifteen from the airport, and 5 mins from robinsons, nice staff and nice garden, quiet place

The room is quite big for the price. There is internet in the room. The breakfast is the typical philippinese. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always giving advice. Safe to leave things in the room. Transportation to the airport was included. Close to Robinson mall. Minor point: there was no mirror in the bathroom.

Big room and service with a smile”
The room is quite spacious. However, they don't have a backup generator set in case of power failure as what have happened during our stay. They have internet/wifi connection but if you need to get better signal you need to stay at the receiving/dining area. Personnel are very helpful especially if you want to arrange booking for tours around the city and other places in Palawan.

Like a room for rent near the mall”
I had no problems checking in to the hotel since I was met at the airport by van. They took me to the room did papers and I was given key in minutes. The bedspread was thin but after asking I was given second blanket to resolve the problem. I was able to walk to take a trike for PHP 20 to the mall. I found the mall to be nice with options for eating. I also found only a 20 minute walk to the market where there are nice souvenirs to buy. Not bad hotel though I felt the price was a little high by a few dollars.

Great experience and value for your money. Not so fancy but very comfortable. A bit far from the airport and some tour van drivers do not know the location of this place well. To get around you need to take trikes.

Pros: the rooms are cheaper, very acommodating staff. They have van transfer to airport. Cons: a bit far from the highway that you need to ride a tricycle way out. They dont serve food inside, so you have no choice but to go out,(ideally at robinson's mall, the nearest mall) a 5 to 8 minutes.
