Pleasant Stay!”

We had a pleasant stay at this charming quaint Chinese-styled boutique hotel, clean & cosy and nature inspired. The staff (Elthel) took care of our needs as best as he could. Breakfast was simple but good. Location is convenient and accessible (by foot) to other interesting sites and eateries. Downside is there is no parking available as it is situated on the main road but you can easily use the public/private transportation to the hotel. Will definitely come back again to stay on our next staycation in KL!

The hotel is located at the middle of city and superb convenience to stay. The room is clean and tidy except no chair & table for certain room. But overall, is extremely good hotel to stay at. The staffs are very friendly, polite and helpful. You could also enjoy free cup of coffee too.

Strategic location and comfortable stay”

Highly recommend this place in Chinatown. Just a few minutes walk from the train station. Comfortable stay & love the outdoor garden view bathroom. It feels like being transported back into another era. Only downside were the mosquito coil that we extinguished because we could not stand the scent and the room is without a sitting chair.

Love it!”

The layout and ambiance of the room w/ its facilities are wonderful! The fact that they tried to relay the concept of Chinese vintage what makes it wonderful. I love the concept of the outdoor washroom at the balcony; w/ the garden itself is another bonus point. Location wise are near to all cafes, 24hrs mini-mart, and also near to Pasar Seni MRT/LRT station. Those who wishes to have a late night meal the street around the hotel has lots of restaurants you can hangout about.

Beautiful old shoplot turned into a nice accommodation. Good experience with the open air shower and toilet. Even gave us daily free coffee. Very convenient location with lots of food nearby. Quite room with comfy bed. Only thing is if you drive be careful not to park in the opposite building cause they charge a bomb for it. Will definitely go back again.

Simply Wonderful!”

Location is absolutely strategic if you're just here for a short time walking around Chinatown and visiting some temples and overall chill. Many food around so you won't get hungry. Pharmacies are super close by. Rooms are clean and spacious for me. The garden toilet was definitely the highlight of the room. The only thing missing for me was maybe a small mini fridge would be great. The staffs are very attentive. They don't have parking but you can park behind Hotel Nan Yeang and with the hotel stamp you can park for RM20/24 hours. Overall, i would definitely stay here again.

Love the traditional air well hotel preserved with traditional elements”

This is a hotel not only the gimmick which just attracts tourists to have a stay and upload photos to Instagram. It is a very beautiful hotel near to the best community in the city: Chinatown. I really like how they apply the air well traditional architectural feature to all the private rooms especially the lowest floor with a garden, with natural lights and rain coming inside. If there is a chair it will be great for guests to sit in front of the garden to feel more relaxed. The hotel room is also appreciated as all the furnitures are in traditional style. I can enjoy the garden view on my bed as well, and before sleeping I liked turning off all the light in the room, leaving the only stage light on in the garden. The breakfast is a way to understand the Nanyang food culture. They also provide free and high quality drink every day in their coffee shop.

Things to note before booking!”

Good things about the hotel: • It has a good location, it’s near Chinatown, central market and also lots of cafes around to try out. You don’t have to worry about food options in the late night because the street you are in will have late night food shops (with long queues, so we assume they must be good!) and also one lok lok shop right outside tian jing hotel. • You may request for new toiletries any time! • Free drinks from the cafe for each guest every day of the stay, although we were a little sad that it was not extended to all drinks on the menu (hehe we wanted chocolate but yes asking for too much) • Good customer service and we requested for help from the ‘concierge’ at night and there was always someone there to help you out. Staff are very friendly and nice! Things to note that might affect your decision for booking the hotel: • If you are a mozzie-magnet, thinking twice, thrice, about booking this hotel. There are bed nets, mozzie coils burning provided by the hotel, and we also bought our own mozzie patch but my sister still got bitten every night. This is a killer for my sister because she is so prone to mozzie bites. This is the price you have to pay for a view. The bed nets are also possibility marked with lots of dead mozzie blood from the kills. • If you have accessibility issues, please note that there is a step to the cafe (also the hotel entrance). The garden view rooms are on the same level. The balcony view rooms are one level up. We had the chance to try both during our stay (more on that later) and would recommend the balcony view because it was nice to get to see the leaves of the trees at least. Do note that the rooms directly above or below share the same view so if someone if showering, you can technically hear it. You can’t see anything though don’t worry! • We initially booked the garden view room (ground level) but on the first night, we discovered that there were micro white things moving around on the top of the head board (we

Great Location & Nice Room”

I did not give a 5 star for cleanliness because there was a small BLACK stain of about 1 cm on my WHITE bed sheet. This is not acceptable. The worse thing to find in a hotel are stains, no matter how small on white sheets and white towels. Housekeeping must be vigilant especially when laying out the items. However even with the little downside we enjoyed our stay even though it was just for one night. Hotel is very quaint and the old world charm carries through to the corridors and rooms. Loved the interesting 'outdoorish' atmosphere of the toilet and shower area as we stayed on the ground floor room with a 'patio'. An inconvenience for me would be there's no fridge in the room as I need to keep my medicine cool at all times. So I'd to keep the room air condition running the whole time while the staff were helpful in freezing my ice pack in time for me to travel with it. The free coffee was a very nice touch. Ended up having 2 sessions of coffee and bought cakes/roti to go with it.
