Camping in a tent would be cleaner!”
The view
Old delapadated hotel.. Our room was filthy with water stains down the wall. Skylight hadn't been cleaned since the 90's. The bathroom was the worst I have ever seen at any hotel worldwide! the towels were old and sour.... No joke I would have slept in a tent across the street and had a better comfort level.

Timber Cove Inn”
Location, Location, Location...
Stayed Thanksgiving Day. Had two mountain view rooms that actually had a nice view of cove and South down the coast. Rooms are eclectic but nice. Mainly the layout. Ours had Shower in living area. No worries though as clean, comfortable and great location. Chose to eat at the Inn for Thanksgiving as not a lot of choices in the area that were open for the Holiday. To give staff credit we watched them prepare most of the afternoon. However, I think they were overwhelmed by the crowd? Our reservation was at 7:00. They were serving a large party in the bar area and everyone eating in the dining area suffered for it. Other than a bread basket and prompt water refills we waited 45 minutes for the salad and 45 more for the dinner. Cold plates, small servings of overcooked veggies, no dressing??? I felt like family that had arrived late to our third Thanksgiving dinner and only thing left was scraps. I would normally be understanding but I this case the dinner was over $200 for 4 persons (no drinks). Almost $300 including the tip. Pretty pricy for a cold turkey dinner. Water was kept filled but would have been nice to offer more bread, a drink, magazine or something instead of coming by every once in a while to tell everyone in the dining room that we were waiting for them to finish serving the large party. So good place to stay, but make sure to have options for meals just in case. Again staff was friendly but just not prepared for the number they were serving. That or the large party ate everything and the waiter had to drive home (San Francisco) and back to bring us some left-overs...

Romantic but be wear of coldness(coast)”
Historical, memorable, coast line
It is place for the couples especially for their anniversary. There not a lot of young couple, so be awear of that. It is romantic and historical place. So, if you are looking for a modern facility, this isn't a place for you. However, if you're looking for a get away and relaxing place, this is it. Huge Fire place in the lobby/bar area and ocean view from he restaurant was beautiful. Gas fire place(fake wood) in the room was pretty romantic. There are not much you can do but to have a lovely time with your partner. Overall good for us to have some local Sonoma wine and a good conversation. And we had the best game hen dish ever at the restaurant. If you have a chance please try it! It was from the 50's anniversary of Timbrr cove in couple's menu.

Romantic location. Nice and friendly staff”
Scenic view of northern coast, quite and peacefull
Staff was very friendly. The location and scenery is amazing, and very romantic. On the down side, the hotel is an old structure and rooms have not been remodeled or modernized.

Great place to get away from it all”
Views, views and view
You truly can get away from it all here. The location is beautiful located on a bluff overlooking the rugged pacific shoreline. The rooms are somewhat dated but who cares when your in paradise. We did not eat in the restaurant but chose to eat in the bar where we found the quality of food to be excellent. We received excellent service from the front desk as we asked for a different room and they upgraded to a ocean view. If you stay here get an ocean or cove view, you will disappointed if you don't.
