Really good location near shuishe pier and visitor centre. Convenience stores and some food options nearby even at night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We booked the balcony room, but just a note: the balcony has limited privacy as it is right next to the common staircase.

Timing House was conveniently located near Shuishe pier as well as a car park. The place was charming and well designed with intricate details everywhere. The rooms were spacious and clean as well! Staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t recommend our stay there more

Contemporary, Modern Guesthouse”
LOCATION Timing House is located right off the Shushe Visitor Center. If you are taking the shuttle bus from the Taichung HSR or TRA stations, the final destination is the Visitor Center. Once you disembark, cross the street to get on the same side of the Visitor Center and walk to the left towards the Starbucks. There are two ways to enter the Timing House: Entrance 1: Enter the towel shop next to the Watsons Pharmacy and inform the clerk you are looking for Timing House. The clerk will point to the back end of the shop. Open the sliding door and you will enter Timing House's kitchen. This entrance is only open until 9 pm. Entrance 2: Walk along the road until you see the Starbucks and then turn right, and follow the road until it reaches the pier. The road will take you downhill and onto another set of markets. The gate to Timing House will be on immediately to the left of the 7-11. (There are two 7-11s in the area: One is across the Watson's by Entrance 1. Do not use that as a waypoint to get to Entrance 2). Entrance 2 is what you see in the main picture. Timing House is in a perfect spot because you are right next to the bus station, you could walk to the piers for sunset, and you do not need to use a cab to get around! STAFF We asked Agoda to see if our group could drop our bags off early since check-in was not until 4 pm. Agoda reached out and they said we can store them until the room was ready. Upon arrival, the staff was great! One of the English-speaking hosts gave us the lowdown on what to do in Sun and Moon Lake and advised on what could be manageable. Since this area is alot more chill compared to Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Taipei, we were advised that the ferry and ropeway activities end at around 4:30 pm. ROOM There are three rooms on one floor and we got the one with the balcony. It was extremely clean, the rainfall shower head had excellent pressure and temperature, and it had amenities like towels, toiletries, and hair dryers. The entire house

It was really enjoyable staying at Timing House, especially my girl who was fascinated with all the Totoros spotted all around the place! Room was very cosy, clean and homely. Breakfast was also served specifically to us at the common dining area at designated timing. Our entire experience staying there was so great, we will definitely recommend to anyone who plans to visit Sun Moon Lake!

Amazing stay at Timing House in Sun Moon Lake. The hosts were so receptive and warm throughout our stay. The place is near to walking trails, bicycle shops, eateries and transportations. Our room was clean and very well designed, and the Totoro decorations at Timing House are so pretty! We will definitely be back a few more times in the future :)

Stayed here for 1night only on 29oct 2017. Choosing the Double room with no window. Pros: 1. Very beautiful room decoration. I guess this one is the most beautiful room during my whole trip in Taiwan. Bed is comfy, bathroom is gorgeous, amenities in bathroom is nice also and there is a small artificial garden beside the shower chamber. Very nice. 2. The owner is very friendly. Although language is probably the main problem, but their courtesy is fabulous. They have a helper that can speak english. So no need to worry. 3. Location is also strategic. Not far from the Sun Moon Lake. Cons: 1. Room wall is considerably thin. Your noise, tv sound can be heard from outside the bedroom. 2. Wood is made from parquet. Walking too fast can cause a quite loud crack sound. 3. Breakfast is too simple. Wendy’s voucher will be given. You can exchange that voucher and will need to pay more if you choose the menu that cost more than the value of the voucher. Overall it is a very good accommodation.

Full of endless surprise from the Room till the Common area till the strategic surrounding. The Person in Charge is so detailed that they will guide you from A-Z and back from Z-A. Greeted by them with much welcome and the room was fantastic, worth every single sen for the value! My Verdict? Its the only hotel i will go to when i'm visiting Sun Moon Lake 日月潭. 只有Timing 别无其他了.

Location is very convenient. 2mins to 水社码头, which is the main station transit to other ports. Nearby got a lot shops and restaurant. Homestay provide 2x bicycle, included mos burger coupon (breakfast), very details information of sun Moon lake, the host also recommended the compulsory food to eat and point to visit. All of them is really friendly and the room is very huge and clean. We have spend a pleasure stay at here and wish to come back again! The last point is the Totoro decoration is really my Favourite part .. hehe.

The owner greeted us warmly upon our arrival with hot coffee (as the weather was cold).. during check-in they prepared all the required items such as the map around the guesthouse. The attraction around Sun Moon Lake, whatapp us the map and all the recommended food and places to visit. The owner also helped us with our luggages up and down the staircase.. (Timing the dog is also very friendly)

Great Guesthouse”
English speaking, lovely and very welcoming owner. Rooms are clean and as stated in the pictures. Totoro hides everywhere and the decoration gives the place a great flair. This small guesthouse is a treasure in the Sun Moon Lake area!!! (Entrance of the guesthouse: In the street where the bus stops through a shop (look for the small sign) or the street below the bus stop, opposite the huge parking lot, next to the 7-11)

Accommodation is very near to the visitor centre, harbour, food places, bike rental shops. We can easily get to places that we needed to go to. Accommodation only has 5 rooms (2 new rooms) and we were lucky to get one of the new rooms which was very clean and comfortable. It was a thoughtfully designed room. Owners were very friendly and assisted us with any questions we had. Good recommendations were also provided on what we can do in Sun Moon Lake. We could contact them via whatsapp if we had any questions during our stay. They also allowed us to park our bicycles within the building when we rented bicycles overnight. Breakfast was provided through giving out of MOS burger vouchers instead of food cooked at the accommodation.

The place is new and clean, the room decoration is lovely. The place is close to 7-11 shop, visitor information center and local restaurant. Walking to the 1st pier for Sun Moon Lake cruse is just 3 minutes. Please be note that for some rooms, there is no toilet door or might be a glass door.

I took a two-day trip with my friend and stayed TIMING house for one night. Both of us felt contented with the room, the facilities , the staff and everything there. Our room was upgraded to a room with a balcony, where we can enjoy the view, just a step away from the room. By the way, this hotel is close to the pier, where we can hop on the boat in 5 minutes. There are also many bike rental shops nearby, so it’s VERY convenient for you to go around either on foot or by bike.
