Staff speaks no english”

On the site it says they rent scooter.. they don’t. Location is different, not near the AirPort. Staff speaks no english so it was very frustrating that it was so hard to even order a cab. The room was nice and the view of the restaurant as well, but we had to wait ten minutes and ask the reception before the waitress arrived in the restaurant..

Avoid at all costs!”

This hotel is lousy. The room is bad (broken lights, broken electricity sockets). The toilet doesn't work after 3 flushes. The restaurant is terrible and expensive. The reception staff are worthless. The wifi works in the lobby only, and then only occasionally. It's 7 km from Ambon City, but on a filthy beach. When I was there, unfortunately for 3 nights, it was empty. I know why.

A pleasant cottage”

location to Darwin to Ambon yacht race finish line, easy walk to nearby shops and restaraunts, friendly and helpful staff

I enjoyed 5 nights at Tirta Kencana and visited Ambon War Cemetery, The Mayor's and Governor's residences, took locals for a couple of sails and introduced and signed a lot of children's books (my name is Steven). Loved the stay and the people.

Very poor and disappointing hotel”

Waterside restaurant and good meal

We booked a standard cottage but on arrival discovered the air con wasn't working in the only availabale cottage. We switched to a standard room (Room 2) and discovered this was worse:- -Air con failed after about half an hour -no toilet seat -hot water failed after about 2 minutes usage -staff room next door and people talking/making noise from 05:00hrs onwards with no regard for paying guests -Moved the bed to fit in an extra bed for our son and floor dirty -light bulb failed in bathroom -dust/material falling from ceiling regualrly during our stay onto the bottom of our bed (termites?) All the above advised to management on arrival late morning and the only things sorted were the light bulb and (at midnight!!) a fan was found by one of the staff. Checked out after one night. By far the worst hotel in our 3 weeks stay in the Maluku Islands.

So close to the Water

the hotel is situated in the perfect location. it does need a make over as it is pretty run down. the bathrooms need refurbishing and the hot water is never a guarantee.
