Hotel seems to be renovated from old one. Bedroom area very nice but bathroom area is lacking. No shampoo gel only shower gel. Easy access to local culinary spot though.

A night before stayed date, i've wrote a special request on my booking forms, in order to bolded up the optional type of what room i've wanted to stayed in. (Smoking room) Following the possibility of checks-in on the earlier hour that been requested, what i've got is a non-smoking room with the noncool AC conditions. And it goes more dissappointing while it complained but i'd still had the long wait. In the end of the dinner time, has been moved one more time before finally i've got placed in to to a correct room. What a bad checkups of the main facility, slow actions to provide a guest satisfaction, and the employee seems confuse to response a complainment

Good but need some update”
From the outside the hotel looks very modern, but when you enter the room, not so much. When you enter the bathroom, the position of the toilet is so awkward, i wonder how bigger guy than me used it because very small space left between my knees and the wall. But overall my stay here is very pleasant, the staff is friendly, the location is good. But please update some you electronics and check the completeness of the things that supposed to be there when the guest arrive (like soap and shampoo) and tissue, not toilet tissue.

AC not enough function , so I call maintenance. But they check simple test and said no problem??? I saw filter already very dirty and wind not strong and not cold, but they said no problem??? I don't want to recommend this hotel even price is cheaper.

hot water often turns off, even though I ordered an executive room. staff not serve well. even though it is an executive room, the window is small, the same as not using a window. very stuffy. the room lights are not bright. very ugly. not interested in staying here again.

Value for money as 3 Star Hotel”
This one was good 3 star hotel, the value was for 3 star service quality, the real publish rate actually overrated but then reasonable after discount. Even though this hotel was quite new but not everything clean and in good condition, there was small leak stain in my ceiling and wall room, the bathroom linen looks dirty and has some stain that seems they didn't wash them well. The bathroom amenities is not enough for me, there was no hand soap and small amount of toilet paper, but it's okay because I did prepare it my own instead of asking more amenities, it is need to be prepared when we visiting this kind of town. Breakfast was good and average, quite nice in meal choice, for 3 star hotel it is good breakfast. The staff was neat handed, amiable, and polite, good hospitality service. Actually I expect more from Grand Tjokro group since I had great stay in this hotel group at Yogyakarta which was 4 star, but overall for 3 star Grand Tjokro Pekanbaru was okay and good to stay during business trip, for pleasure and vacation I think you need to upgrade. I wish Grand Tjokro continuing to maintain and develop this hotel and make it better to be great hotel service.

Our comments for 2 nights stay in your hotel”
1. The Qiblah direction is misleading. It is differing between room 319 and 320. Luckily we have the qiblah direction app in our gadget, so that we know that the direction set in the above mentioned room were mistakenly set. This is really diasppointing. 2. On the second day of our stay, the electricity turned off twice. It takes few minutes to be turned on again. A bit ridiculous a big hotel like Grand Tjokro is not ready of the frequent electricity turn off. 3. The breakfast hall should be freed from tobbacco smoke. You should not allow the smokers and non smokers to stay within one room / hall, although they are located in different zone. Yet, the room / hall is fully airconditioned. So, the method applied is totally not effective. As non smokers, we are very up set with this policy.
