Overall is good”
Overall is good. Good location. Only problem is no hairdryer in room, but you can still borrow one from the font desk and you have to return in an hour.
Centrally located with excellent facilities and staff service. Plenty of privacy.
Great location and facilities”
Being next to the Plaza Del Sol, you won't find a better location and tjr facilities are great. The only drawback is the noise being located where it is. I was able to easily explore all of Madrid by foot from the location and it was also easy to find. I'd highly recommend.
I stayed in an 8-person room as well as a 6-person bedroom for 4 nights and I think this is the cleanest and nicest hostel I have ever been to so far. Their rooms are very modern, spacious and clean. It feels like you're in a hotel instead of a hostel. They have two toilets and two showers in each room, they also have designated lockers and hairdryers. I love everything about this hostel! Close to the main tourist spots, & it's next to restaurants and cafes. The staff (mainly Caesar) is very helpful and nice as well.
Very highly recommended!”
I highly recommend TOC Hostel Madrid. It is only 5mins walk from Sol Metro station. It is in the heart of the city. Near to dining, mini markets, souvenir shops, high end brand outlets and Primark. The room is very clean. The front desk person and cleaner always put on a smile. There’s kitchen as well as washing machine and dryer. I will definitely stay there again if I ever visit Madrid in the future.
could not say anything bad”
reasonable priced. excellent location, very central. efficient and helpful staff - speak fluent english. bunk beds with duvet and cover. secured place. good facilities with the common area. my ta booked the wrong room type but was accommodated to the correct one.
Close to metro, Renfe and bus stops. Although there's no cooking facilities, the kitchen is user-friendly for one to reheat simple food. 8-people Female room is rather small and narrow walking space because of the strange design.
The hotel is very close to the Sol with few minutes walk to metro and bus station. And room is clean and well decorated. But the cleaning staff threw away some of our personal items when cleaning. Generally, it matches its price.
Location, Location, Location! ”
It's in a very busy area, so all the action was right outside. I had a huge 50lb (23kg) suitcase and it was very close to two metro stations. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The common room is a great place to relax after a day of traveling. I read complaints about the noise... & night time wasn't bad but the morning they were playing music early outside. Instead of complaining, I got up, showered & joined in on the party! I was really pleased to stay here, the price was definitely worth it!!
Amazing Location and Private Room”
TOC Madrid is situated at a fantastic location near to main attractions. There are plenty of food choices just by the doorstep. The private room (triple share) was clean with air-conditioning, and we even had room service come in to clean up. They also have an amazing team of staff here. Highly recommended!
Family Room (for 4) for 7 nights. We love: 1. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is in the city center and almost everything is within less than 10 minutes walking distance - sights, restaurants/cafes, shopping, metro station. 2. Keyless. Your fingerprints are your keys. No need to rummage through your bag looking for your keys. No need to share keys with companions. Love it! 3. Spacious. The room as well as the toilet and bath. 4. Minimalist style. Some things to improve on: 1. We stayed for 7 nights and we were not given/replenished with some amenities - shampoo, soaps etc. I don't expect it to be replenished everyday but atleast every other day? The ones provided on the 1st day won't last for 4 people in 7 days. 2. Lack of clothesline. Even for small items like undies & socks. A definite value for money :)
One of the best hostels I have ever been into”
The hostel is in an awesome party location, but far enough for not being noisy at night. It’s close to almost every attraction of Madrid. And the access key is your finger print! Also, It’s incredible how clean it was. The linens are included, not the towel but you can get it at extra cost. Overall, Excellent and secure hostel.
Excellent location but may be noisy ”
Cons: The location is in the heart of the shopping district hence be prepared to hear noises till midnight. We stayed in a private room for two - however as this is also a hostel, a group of rowdy school boys were staying right opposite us and we could hear them banging their doors and then running around and yelling. Pros: location is unbeatable. We found ourselves returning to the hostel multiple times in a day to rest/take toilet break as it was that easily accessible. Staffs were very friendly and welcoming too. Also you would need an additional key to open the safe (eur20 for refundable deposit) upon request at the reception. Overall recommended if you’re not too bothered by noises.
This quite great hostel with new equipment, finger key, I would 1st recommendation to anyone who come to madrid. The only breakfast is a little bit expensive will cost you 6€ compared with the price of the room are not same level
Best hostel ever”
Clean and decent. This is the best place i've stayed in this trip. Even better than other hotels. Stayed at a 4bed dorm, spacious. €10deposit. Need to put the bedsheet yourself and return to the reception when you checkout.
Room is accessible by bio metric - which saves the hassle of carrying keys or access cards. The common area is undergoing renovation, so the space is limited. Drinks at the in-house bar is rather expensive. The location is great, within 200m from Sol Metro station and has plenty of food options + a supermarket just steps away.
It feels like a hotel, very nice. ”
The hostel is nice and clean. There are no curtains in beds and the bathrooms are very close so people inside the room can hear “almost everything” you’re doing inside. There should be more hangers for towels inside the rooms. Besides those things, it’s worth it. The location is great and you get a safe sensation as a guest.
Price, cleanliness and location are good, but bathrooms are not that private ”
The room had AC, it was very clean. The location was nice since it was near to almost everything. But the shower doors (2 showers inside a 8 bed room) are not the best since it’s just glass and can be opened at any time by someone else. The toilets are good, but people can hear everything you do inside. Lol. No privacy in that aspect... I’d go back though.
Cozy but luxurious hostel”
Hi, the facilities are awesome! But I'd like to write down some cons <CONS> 1) Socializing: It is not a perfect place to socialize, especially for solo traveler like me. This place is a boutique hostel, so you can easily find some groups of family travelers or travelers in 50s and 60s . When the 2018 World Cup match was held, the lounge was soooooo quite that I had to move to outside. 2) Food: The breakfast is quite expensive, 6 euros. I mean the quality is awesome! (It is better than going out to go to a cafe) But because of the fact that Spanish dinner usually starts after 8pm or even 10pm, having good breakfast can make you so full all day long. 3) Lack of social place: The only lounge operates between 8am to 2am(+1day), which is quite short amount of time. Especially, during the breakfast time, it is impossible to cook and inconvenient to use the kitchen(cannot use sink) because the staff and other travelers using breakfast bouchers use the kitchen as a restaurant).
Clean, modern family room - better than many offered by hotels. The children loved their bunk beds integrated into the double-bed's headboard. Grand building - very impressive. It is subjected to the surrounding noise of the streets with people socialising and working, but this is to be expected when you are so central. The staff are polite. The breakfast is very good. Discounted parking underground also provided nearby. Wi-Fi included. Metro stations just a stone throw away.
